Resilient Or Spring Biased Element Patents (Class 24/421)
  • Patent number: 6654988
Abstract: A stoppable zipper slider is mainly a set of sustaining leaf springs, consisting of a single or a pair of pieces, on the inner surface of the covering portion of the zipper slider. The set of sustaining leaf springs, of single piece or two pieces, with one end sustaining downward against the top surface of a stopping hook piece and the other end propping up in between the tail of the hook piece and the slider body, enable a pull tab's sliding along a reserved gap within the covering portion and propping the bottom of one leaf spring open and then entering a braking notch of the stopping hook piece so as to accomplish the action of re-assembly.

  • Patent number: 6647598
Abstract: A needle locking structure of a zipper slide for engaging or disengaging two lengths of teeth on two opposite teeth tapes is provided. A monolithic main body has two joint portions formed thereon. An engagement part is formed on each side of the main body. A spring piece is fixed by the joint portions of the main body. A pull tab unit is fixed by the joint portions of the main body for facilitating the manipulation of pulling the zipper slide. A laterally shifted extending portion is provided at one end of the spring piece. Since the extension portion jabs the top of an engagement line of one of the teeth tapes, the friction force is increased whereby improving the positioning of the main body and preventing unwarily sliding of the zipper slide.

  • Patent number: 6637078
Abstract: It relates to a slider for slider fastener with locking device where a sheet-like spring having a locking pawl at one end is fixed at the other end on a body. A bent portion of a spring portion of the fixed spring is exposed at a guide post, and a pull is mounted between the body and the spring so as to be raised or laid. A cam is provided on a lower face of an axle of the pull, and the axle slides on an inclined guide portion on the body. When the pull is laid forward of the body, a gap is formed between an edge of a through hole of a grip portion of the pull and the bent portion of the spring. Even if a load is applied to the pull in the horizontal direction or the vertical direction, this gap prevents the spring from plastic deformation, so that the spring is never plastically deformed under any use condition, thereby ensuring an excellent locking function.

  • Patent number: 5625928
Abstract: In an automatic lock slider for a slide fastener, a yoke accommodating a locking pawl and a leaf spring has a pair of inwardly directed projections, and a generally C-shaped, narrow rigid strip has on its upper edges a pair of taper surfaces corresponding to the respective projections. As the taper surfaces are guided by the projections, the pawl keeps its suitable posture during the assembling of the slider, and the pawl acts reliably while the automatic locking mechanism is either operative or inoperative. The locking pawl is small in width and has one leg portion to be inserted in a groove of the outer surface of a connector of a slider body. The result is that the number of pressing steps is reduced to minimize press traces on the surface of an upper wing of the slider body so that press traces are prevented from coming out on the slider surface though the yoke is smaller in width compared to the conventional one.

  • Patent number: 5604962
Abstract: A zip-fastener slide with pull tab can be manufactured in one single injection step. For this purpose the opening beneath the bow on the slide body, serving to secure the pull tab, is fashioned by four movable mould cores. The four mould cores are shifted into the mould before injection, and withdrawn in order to eject the finished slide again from the mould. Similarly it is also possible to provide a locking cam which, when in the inoperative position, projects into the intermediate space between two zipper links and blocks the movement of the slide. By means of pulling on the pull tab, the locking cam can be withdrawn from this intermediate space, and the slide can be released.

  • Patent number: 5603144
Abstract: In an automatic lock slider for a slide fastener having element rows on its back side, a resilient member having a locking pawl engageable and disengageable with the element rows from the back side is actuated by one end of a pivotal bat pivotable about a pivot, the resilient member being in the form of a small-width metallic leaf spring having a predetermined length and bent in a desired shape. The resilient member keeps adequate resilience for a long period and secures more reliable resilient deformation and restoration compared to a mere leaf spring, so that the locking pawl can come into and out of engagement with the element rows smoothly and reliably, depending on whether or not a pull tab is pulled.

Abstract: A slider with an automatic stop function for a linear slide fastener in which leg portions of the fastener elements are covered with blades and the like. A slider body comprises an upper wing and a lower wing which are interconnected by a guide post. A narrow linear rib is provided on the inner face of the upper wing to guide edges of blades for covering leg portions of fastener elements and to slide on the upper faces of the coupling head portion of the fastener elements. Pressure lands are provided at a lower height than the rib on both sides of the rib in the neighborhood of the guide post and slide along the blades being pressed against the fastener elements. A leaf spring with an automatic stop function is disposed on the surface of the upper wing so that the tip end thereof serves as stop claw. The stop claw is inserted into the middle portion of the linear rib and the pressure lands to stop the sliding of the slider automatically.
