The grip clip includes a pair of opposed grip members joined to one another by a hinge arrangement for enabling relative pivoting of the grip members about a hinge axis. The grip clip has a biasing structure which relatively pivotably biases the grip members in opposite directions towards a closed position in which opposed inner gripping services of the respective grip members engage one another or engage a document therebetween. The support rail has a channel-like part which defines an outwardly opening narrow slot, with one side of the slot being defined by a cantilevered wall of the channel-like part. The grip clip, when engaged with the support rail, is disposed so that the cantilevered wall of the channel-like part projects into a slot defined within the support rail to securely position the grip clip thereon.

  • Patent number: 6202266
Abstract: A versatile user-adjustable clamp for clamping accessories to the panels of ready-to-assemble furniture articles, and other surfaces such as countertops, has a main body member, a jaw member, and a knob. The main body member has a substantially spool-shaped section with accessory interface means at opposing ends thereof, and a rectangular section that projects tangentially from the spool-shaped section. The spool-shaped section of the main body member telescopingly receives the jaw member, and has a knob-receiving aperture. The knob is rotatably secured within the knob aperture and provides a means for actuating the telescopic movement of the jaw member relative to the main clamp body. The jaw member includes a flat surface interface that is oriented parallel to the rectangular section of the main clamp body, and has a separate accessory interface means therein.

  • Patent number: 6185795
Abstract: An improved clip mechanism in which a revolve arm spring is fastened at the center of two relative handles providing the two revolve arms are expanded to the inner side of each handle, so as to enable the front edge of the two handles having a force in clamping. In addition, inside the front edge of each handle is formed relatively a proper plain area contacting with each other. The plain area is formed an inner concave, which is protruded with a pillar. The head of the pillar is expanded to be a big edge, so as to enable the protrusion surface of clip plate to embed into the pillar of inner concave.

  • Patent number: 6173872
Abstract: A clamp-type garment hanger defined by a pair of opposed jaw members between which a garment is hung. The opposed jaw members have gripping members and opposed gripping surfaces. The gripping members, opposed gripping surfaces and jaw members of one jaw member are formed from the same material, which may include either polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, styrene-butadiene copolymers and blends, or polycarbonates. The other jaw member has bonded thereto an elastomer material for gripping the garment. To increase the coefficient of friction of the opposed gripping surfaces, the surfaces may be treated by engraving, acid etching, electrical discharge machining, vapor honing, or sandblasting.

  • Patent number: 5636416
Abstract: A device and method for securing a plastic bag within a trash receptacle or other receptacle are provided. The garbage bag maintenance system device employing a front and rear plate in springing engagement with one another, the front plate employing an opening through which a portion of a trash container liner is threaded, when the desired amount of the trash container liner is threaded through the opening, the front and back plate are released causing them to shut over a portion of the trash container liner thereby creating a snug engagement between the trash container liner and the top rim of a trash container. This engagement of the trash container liner with the front and back plate of the device holds the trash container liner in place so that it remains substantially in the position it is adjusted to and resists being pushed down into the trash container.

  • Patent number: 5414911
Abstract: The present invention provides a clip that is one piece and is therefore relatively easy to fabricate. A resilient plastic such as polycarbonate is preferred so that fabrication is inexpensive and yet effective repetitive clamping of the clip is achieved. Furthermore, the closure ends of the clip are designed to overlap somewhat so that any semi-permanent deformation of the material or thermal contraction of the clip that would cause the closure ends of the clip to move away from one another will not act to diminish the effectiveness of the present clip.

  • Patent number: 5363538
Abstract: A cord clasp is disclosed for holding together several loops or folds of an appliance cord in order to keep the cord tidy. The clasp includes two complementary facing jaw members, each having a cord surrounding portion and a handle portion separated by a pivoting ridge. A bias means keeps the jaws or cord surrounding portions together. The jaw members are farther apart at the handle portions than at the closure point of the cord surrounding portions. The jaw members are quite wide and have complementary shaped front edges. The shape of the clasp enables the cords to be grasped or held securely when only a small number of cord loops are gathered or when a large number of cord loops are gathered. The cords will also be held even if the cord surrounding portions do not come completely together.
