Abstract: A releasable interlocking device includes a pair of interactive plates, for fastening to apparel utilizing a system of two interactive pistes which when slid together diagonally utilizes the thickness of the apparel and, stud of a male plate to engage through a single angled flexible vane or lip to snap fit and lock over a solid edge of a female plate without damage to the aforesaid apparel.
Abstract: A quick connect coupling assembly has a first and second component, and a locking assembly structured to retain the components in an attached orientation with one another. The locking assembly includes a plurality of locking elements each having a locking arm with a locking member mounted to a distal end, wherein the locking members are maintained in an outwardly extending orientation by a biasing mechanism. The biasing mechanism comprises a spring mounted between oppositely disposed locking elements, wherein the spring is structured to maintain the locking members in an outwardly extending orientation. The quick connect coupling assembly also includes a release mechanism to permit the locking members to be temporarily disposed into a retracted orientation, thereby permitting the first and second components to be detached from one another.
Abstract: A snap fastener having a stud with a pear-shaped head has a grommet assembly for removable mounting on the stud with the grommet assembly comprising a metal tooth cap and an annular plastic retainer with the fabric squeezed therebetween and prongs of the cap extending through the fabric and clinched over the retainer, and with the head of the stud disposed between the cap and retainer and with the fabric extending uninterruptedly over the head of the stud. Tooling is shown for quickly assembling the tooth cap and retainer to the fabric.
Abstract: A low profile snap fastener comprising a telescoping stud and receiver has latching and locking diameters measured across the stud which are so related to the internal diameter of the receiver that the stud and receiver can only be telescoped to and from a locked position by a predetermined relative motion between them.
