Abstract: A lever-controllable magnetic buckle includes a male member having a male engaging section, a female member having a female engaging section formed with two groups of female guide-out surface, and a control lever. The male member is magnetically attracted for moving to the female member with the male engaging section retained to the female engaging section. The control lever is pivotally connected to the male member and has an actuating cam contacting with the female member. The female member will contact with surfaces of the actuating cam at different positions thereof when the control lever is pivotally swung relative to the male member, allowing the male engaging section to disengage from the female engaging section. Then, the control lever can be further swung to move the male member in different directions to selectively contact with one of the two groups of female guide-out surface and be completely separated from the female member.

Abstract: A grommet removal assembly includes a grommet and a grommet removal tool. The grommet includes a body defining a longitudinal axis, a plurality of arms extending from the body, the plurality of arms defining first engagement ramps, and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The grommet removal tool includes a shaft and a plurality of wings extending from the shaft and defining a plurality of second engagement ramps. The first engagement ramps of the wings are capable of engagement with the second engagement ramps along the plurality of arms to draw the arms inward, toward the longitudinal axis of the body.

Abstract: A locking push pin and methods of using the locking push pin to assemble a heatsink assembly, are described. The locking push pin includes a body lumen extending through a pin body, and several prongs radially outward from the body lumen. Peripheral surfaces of the prongs are separated by a body slot radially outward from the body lumen. The locking push pin includes a pin lock having a branch that extends through the body lumen and into the body slot between the peripheral surfaces. The pin lock advances from an unlocked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot proximal to a distal end of the prongs, allowing the prongs to deflect radially inward, to a locked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot at the distal end of the prongs, blocking deflection of the prongs. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

A top wall of the cage includes an opening, and first engaging structures extending from the top wall of the cage toward an outside of the cage at a periphery of the opening. The heat-radiation element is disposed on the cage corresponding to the opening, and first notches corresponding to the first engaging structures are disposed on side walls of the heat-radiation element. Each first engaging structure passes through the corresponding first notch to engage the heat-radiation element on the cage. The cage has a receiving cavity and supporting structure at a bottom of the receiving cavity. When a mating connector is inserted into the receiving cavity, a bottom of the mating connector is supported by the supporting structure, a top of the mating connector abuts against the heat-radiation element through the opening, and the heat-radiation element remains substantially stationary.

The female buckle portion has a top wall, a bottom wall, side walls, and a cavity between the top wall and the bottom wall and a locking slot in each of the side walls. The male buckle portion has a base, two locking legs, a center leg, and two intermediate legs between the locking legs and the center leg. The locking legs extend through the locking slots in the female portion, and locking pawls at the end of the locking legs engage the edges of the locking slots to secure the buckle portions together. Each locking leg is connected to a flexible retaining member that prevents the locking legs from being flexed outwardly beyond a predetermined point. The intermediate legs and/or the retaining members form stop surfaces that prevent the locking legs from being flexed inwardly beyond a point of contact with the stop surfaces.

The fastener system includes feet in the collet body that mate with openings in a sleeve at least partially surrounding the collet body. The sleeve or the collet body includes interior threads that engage with a stud that is configured to extend through the collet body and bend the feet such that they project outward from the sleeve openings in an engaged configuration.

Abstract: A buckle assembly formed of a male buckle portion and a female buckle portion. The female buckle portion has a top wall, a bottom wall, side walls, and a cavity between the top wall and the bottom wall and a locking slot in each of the side walls. The male buckle portion has a base, two locking legs and two intermediate legs between the locking legs. The locking legs extend through the locking slots in the female portion, and locking pawls at the end of the locking legs engage the edges of the locking slots to secure the buckle portions together. The free ends of the locking legs are connected to the free ends of the intermediate legs by a retaining member, so that forces acting on the locking legs are transferred to the intermediate legs by the retaining members.

Abstract: A location and fall detection system (and method) includes a wearable band, a local gateway, and a cloud server. The wearable band includes an MCU, a radio-frequency pulse transmitter that periodically transmits a pulse, and a continuously sensing fall detection sensor. The MCU operates in low power mode except when a pulse is periodically transmitted, and when a fall is detected and a fall alert is transmitted. The gateway includes a radio-frequency pulse receiver and a data communication link to a cloud server. If a periodic pulse transmission is not received within a set period, the gateway transmits a location alert message to the cloud server. If a fall alert message is received the gateway likewise transmits a fall alert message to the cloud server. The band may further include a distress button that when activated, causes a distress message to be sent to the cloud server. The cloud server will contact various responsible parties as specified such as caregivers and first responders.

Abstract: A nacelle is provided for an aircraft propulsion system. This nacelle include a nacelle structure, a fanlet and an interface assembly. The fanlet is configured to translate axially along a centerline between an open position and a closed position. The interface assembly includes first and second interlocking components. One of the interlocking components is mounted to the nacelle structure, and the other one of the interlocking components is mounted to the fanlet. The first interlocking component includes a projection configured with a stop. The second interlocking component includes an aperture and a detent. The projection is adapted to extend axially into the aperture. The detent is adapted to engage the stop where the fanlet is in the closed position.

Abstract: A bonded dissimilar material heat transfer assembly is provided. The assembly comprises a frame component, a thin stamped component and at least one dissimilar metal component having means for heat transfer and having a higher thermal conductivity than the frame component and stamped component. The heat transfer assembly includes a novel geometry such that distortion caused by mismatch of thermal expansion rates does not affect the normally planar shape of the assembly. Such a construction leads to higher thermal performance, lighter weight, less cost, and higher reliability than similar prior art heat exchanger assemblies.

When the mounting assemblies move in a preset direction, the positioning member engages the heat sink, and the support assemblies would be retrieved from the opening, whereby the heat sink would be lowered to the heat sink setting area via the opening.

Abstract: A method of laying a subsea pipeline from a reel, the pipeline having an in-line first locking member, the method having at least the steps of: (a) laying the pipeline under the water from the reel; (b) cutting the pipeline above the first locking member; (c) coupling the first locking member with a complementary second locking member; and (d) lowering the first and second locking members under the water. In this way, the pipeline already has located within it a suitable locking member for the abandoning operation, avoiding the need for a separate off-shore welding operation.

Abstract: A hunting arrow for tracking target animals is disclosed and described. The arrow can include a chamber. The arrow may also include a transmitter housing that is installable into the chamber. A pair of bores extending through the transmitter housing and chamber may be configured and adapted for receiving a pair of shear pins. The shear pins may secure the housing in the chamber. The transmitter housing may comprise an animal engagement member, such as a hook. The transmitter housing is ejected from the chamber when the arrow strikes a target animal and the hook stops the forward momentum of the transmitter housing with sufficient force to shear the shear pins, thereby ejecting and embedding the transmitter housing in the hide of the animal. The transmitter within the housing may broadcast the location of the animal to the hunter to enable easy tracking of the animal, if wounded.

A separate reciprocable slide element carried by the buckle latch element with cam surfaces, angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the buckle that overlies the free ends of the latching legs. Abstract: The security buckle includes a first body member having one or more walls defining a receiving cavity and one or more mating slots; and a second body member adapted to engage the receiving cavity, the second body member including one or more latching tabs for engaging the one or more mating slots wherein the second body member is inhibited from disengagement while the one or more latching tabs engage the one or more mating slots, and wherein the first body member includes a portion of the one or more walls defining a security slot adapted for receiving an interfering object that includes an engagement mode for insertion and removal from the slot and an interfering mode for inhibiting the one or more latching tabs from disengaging from the one or more mating tabs until the interfering object is transitioned to the engagement mode.
