  • Patent number: 10618054
Abstract: A machine or system and related method for breaking and reducing the bulk size of one or more objects and comprising: a frame, a reception chamber and a size reduction mechanism. The size reduction mechanism includes a drum rotatably coupled to the frame and configured to oscillate relative to the frame between a first position and a second position about a longitudinal rotational axis; a cutting member coupled to the drum and extending therefrom, the cutting member being configured to penetrate through one or more of the objects in the reception chamber during operation as the drum rotates from the first position to the second position during each oscillation cycle; and a breaking screen comprising a series of spaced breaking members configured to cause further breakdown of the one or more pieces of the one or more objects during operation as the drum rotates toward the second position during each oscillation cycle and forces the one or more pieces against the breaking members.

  • Patent number: 10471438
Abstract: The invention involves an automatic shut-off waste disposer that may be activated with a control module, which utilizes a programmable automatic shut-off routine. This enables a user to turn on the garbage disposer and walk away without having to turn the disposer off. In exemplary embodiments, activation of the disposer includes actuation of a solenoid valve for injecting a stream of water flow into the dispenser chamber in order to facilitate a proper water flow while the disposer is actively disposing of food waste. In some exemplary embodiments, activation of the disposer may be achieved via a user-activated pneumatic actuator, which may be installed in proximity to the sink to which the disposer is coupled. In some exemplary embodiments, the disposer implements a sensor for automatically shutting of a motor of the disposer upon a predetermined event.

Abstract: A rotary crushing pair with uneven surfaces for cone crushers and roller crushers includes: a first crushing part and a second crushing part interacting with each other, wherein two crushing surfaces forming the crushing pair are uneven surfaces; the uneven surfaces are formed by single-helical ribs, loop ribs, mesh-like ribs, etc. By replacing a conventional solid smooth plate-like design with an uneven surface design of the rotary crushing pair, a main crushing mechanism, pressing, of conventional cone crushers and roller crushers is replaced by a combination of effective crushing mechanisms such as splitting, folding, twisting and cutting for fully eliminating slipping and greatly increasing crushing efficiency of the crusher.

  • Patent number: 7651044
Abstract: An apparatus for mechanical processing of materials in the dry state is of the type having a casing, within which are set a plurality of rollers and at least one diffuser and/or contrast element for the plurality of rollers. The casing likewise has at least one input section and at least one output section for the materials. The rollers are arranged around the diffuser and/or contrast element so as to define, for each roller, a gap between the diffuser and/or contrast element and the side surface of the roller, and in that it comprises a drive for setting in rotation the diffuser and/or contrast element with respect to the plurality of rollers and/or for setting in rotation at least one roller, or the entire plurality of rollers, with respect to the diffuser and/or contrast element.

  • Patent number: 7070135
Abstract: A chipping apparatus includes a housing arranged about an axis of rotation and a chipping system within the housing rotating in a predefined direction about an axis of rotation. The chipping system has chipping tools that form a circular or ring-shaped chipping zone. The housing is divided into the sectors I, II, III and IV in the direction of rotation, with a material outlet being arranged in sector I. The axis of rotation of the chipping system is arranged eccentrically, with respect to a central axis of the housing, in the region of sector I or II. In this way, a uniformly widening flow channel is produced between the chipping tools and the housing, even when the housing is circular in cross-section. The constant volume increase in the flow channel toward the material outlet prevents an increasing material density, which can cause blockages in the material flow.

  • Patent number: 5975448
Abstract: A mill comprises a static frame and a movable frame interconnected by springs. The movable frame carries a milling ring and a motor. The motor is driving a roller for running along the inner side of the milling ring. Material is crushed between the ring and the roller. Mounting the motor to the movable frame simplifies the design of the mill and dampens the oscillating movements of the movable frame.

  • Patent number: 5961056
Abstract: A method and apparatus for comminuting granular mill feed material wherein the material is delivered in a stream to a gap between two rotary grinding tracks which confront one another, one of which is positioned at a small angle to the other so that in response to relative rotation of such tracks the width of the gap decreases to a minimum at an initial rate of at least 1 m/s. At the minimum width of the gap the material is subjected to comminuting pressure greater than 50 MPa.

  • Patent number: 3977612
Abstract: A grinding apparatus intended for domestic use in making nut butter from nuts such as peanuts can be constructed so as to utilize a housing containing a motor. The motor shaft is used to support a lower assembly and to drive a lower grinding disk forming a part of this assembly. An upper assembly is movably mounted on the lower assembly in such a manner that the relative position of an upper grinding disk relative to the lower grinding disk can be adjusted or varied in order to obtain what may be referred to as a "smoothly ground" product or what may be referred to as a "chunky ground" product consisting of particles ground to various different sizes. An actuator is provided for moving the upper assembly so as to obtain either of these types of products. A hopper structure is used to convey nuts or other material to be ground through the upper assembly to a space between the two grinding disks.
