The material is first passed through a cooling apparatus, after which it is delivered to a screening apparatus for screening out smaller material below a pre-determined fineness and transporting larger material above such pre-determined fineness to a crushing apparatus. The larger material is crushed and is delivering back to the cooling apparatus for further cooling. It is a feature of the invention that the cooling apparatus, screening apparatus and crushing apparatus have a common environment, that is, they are all enclosed within the same housing.

Abstract: A coarse material comminution machine 1 comprises a rotor 2 fitted with blades 4 and a stator body 3 located on the stator side with at least one blade 5 adjustable by means of a control device 11 in the direction towards the rotor 2 and in the direction away from the rotor 2. The control device has an adjusting slide 12 that is movable relative to the rotor 2 as well as an activating device 13 for the movement of the adjusting slide 12 in the direction towards the rotor 2 and in the direction away from the rotor 2. The blade 5 is kinetically coupled to a movement of the adjusting slide 12. The blade 5 is connected to the adjusting slide 12 by one or several coupling members 14 connectible to the adjusting slide 11 and the blade 5 in form-fitting and detachable fashion.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to cutting blades for shredders. Specifically, this invention teaches cutting blades, cutting blade assemblies, and a rotary cutting assembly which reduce the power needed to shred paper, plastic, and other forms of media that hold information. This is accomplished by creating a cutting blade with at least three adjacent teeth. The formation of three or more adjacent teeth more readily tears through paper and other media thus reducing the amount of power necessary to drive a shredder. This invention further discloses light weight cutting blades which require less material to manufacture, thus saving both materials and cost.

Abstract: A chipping apparatus includes a housing arranged about an axis of rotation and, for accomplishing the chipping, a chipping system within the housing rotating in a predefined direction about the axis of rotation. The chipping system has first chipping tools and second chipping tools that move relative to one another during the course of rotation and thereby form a circular or ring-shaped chipping zone through which air flows. The fed material is introduced into the housing in the axial direction, supplied in the radial direction to the chipping tools, and after chipping is drawn out of the housing as chipped material tangentially through an outlet. The geometry of the housing is defined by a first coordinate system with the primary axes X1 and Y1, which intersect at right angles in the center point M1 of the housing and of which the primary axis Y1 is arranged perpendicular to the tangential outlet direction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for separating and processing solid waste, often but not necessarily from municipalities (and so will be generically referred to herein as municipal solid waste or “MSW”), into useful products, and for reducing biohazards and putrid odors derived from MSW. The MSW is loaded into an elongated, generally cylindrically shaped rotating pressure vessel and is subjected to heat and pressure by the application of steam in specified amounts to break down the organic portion of the MSW into a cellulose feedstock, or a de-manufactured paper product, of uniform particle size and density. This product is then easily separable from other constituents of MSW, such as glass, aluminum and other metals, and plastics. The recyclables are recovered and sold in the market. The waste water from the process is reduced by processing through a water vamping apparatus.
