Abstract: A double-sided tape dispenser is provided, in which a rolling tape mechanism is axially formed at the inner wall of body. The rolling tape mechanism comprises a driving gear and a drawback gear joggling with the driving gear. A drawback roll wheel pivots onto the drawback gear. A double-sided tape pivots onto the driving gear to wind the tail of tape onto the roll wheel. Double-sided adhesive is formed over the outer circumference of double-sided tape. An adjustment part pivots onto the drawback roll wheel, so when the gear is driven to joggle with the drawback gear to run, a frictional resistance is caused between the drawback roll wheel and the drawback gear to keep the tightness of drawback of the drawback release paper, preventing the release paper from being blocked on the drawback roll wheel and then the double-sided tape from not drawing back completely.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for decelerating an inverter-controlled machine reel in a paper machine. The method includes detecting a break in a paper web from a machine reel, determining the inertia of the machine reel, determining continuously the angular speed of the machine reel, and determining continuously the torque required to decelerate the machine reel, on the basis of the determined inertia and angular speed, for the purpose of stopping the machine reel in a predefined time. The method also includes decelerating the machine reel electrically to stop the machine reel, in accordance with the determined torque, and using a mechanical brake when the rotation speed of the machine reel is lower than a predefined rotation speed and when the torque obtained by electrical deceleration is too small to stop the machine reel in a predefined time.

Abstract: A filament winding apparatus detects that a fiber bundle is likely to break and prevents generation of defective products. The filament winding apparatus applies a prescribed winding tension to the fiber bundle unwound from a fiber bundle feeding package and winds the tension-applied fiber bundle around a mandrel. A tension applying portion applies the winding tension to the fiber bundle at a position that is immediately before a side of the mandrel between the fiber bundle package and the mandrel. A tension sensor detects the tension of the fiber bundle between the fiber bundle feeding package and the tension applying portion. A determination means determines a tension abnormality of the fiber bundle by comparing pre-set reference information with the tension measured value measured by the tension sensor.

  • Publication number: 20090084885
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for decelerating moving vehicles. A set of two novel pylons is disclosed employing a simple, durable and reliable braking mechanism. Each braking mechanism comprises a spindle assembly including a brake disk and a spool assembly comprising a rotor and two caliper disks adjacent the brake disk. The spool assembly is pivotally mounted on the spindle assembly. As the strap is deployed a ratchet and pawl mechanism fixed to the base of the spindle assembly prevents the spindle assembly from rotating with respect to the spool assembly. The sliding friction between the caliper disks and the brake disk impedes the rotation of the spool assembly and restrains deployment of the strap. After impact, the strap can be rewound via a ratchet nut located on the spool assembly. During rewind the spindle assembly rotates with the spool assembly. An additional embodiment connects a sacrificial barrier between the two pylons mounted to a gantry.
