Abstract: Provided is a medium supply device including a spindle that supports a medium having a roll shape, a supplying portion that supplies the medium supported by the spindle toward outside, a plurality of support rollers that support the medium in positions between the spindle and the supplying portion, a moving roller that, in a contact position between the support rollers, is capable of coming into contact with a bridging medium extending across the support rollers in a state where a load is applied to the bridging medium and that is capable of moving from the contact position to a non-contact position of non-contact with the bridging medium, and a moving mechanism configured to move the moving roller from the contact position to the non-contact position.
Abstract: A winding device (10) for winding a web (92) onto a reel (90) has a drive shaft (20), a gear (30), a clutch shaft (63), an energy storage means (50), a clutch (60) and an output shaft (80). The gear (30) is configured, as a positive-engagement gear, to transmit a rotary movement of the drive shaft (20) to a first clutch shaft element (61) assigned to the clutch shaft (63). The clutch shaft (63) is connected via the clutch (60) with the output shaft (80) in order, selectively, to enable or prevent a transmission of torque between the clutch shaft (63) and the output shaft (80). The gear (30) has, without the energy storage means (50) having effect, a first predetermined transmission ratio (i_0) between the drive shaft (20) and the clutch shaft (63), and the energy storage means (50) is configured to store and release rotational energy and to vary the transmission ratio.

Abstract: A winding mechanism for winding a narrower web has a drive shaft with a torque transmitting member fixedly mounted thereon, and a holder rotatably mounted on the drive shaft with a spring disposed around an outer circumferential surface of the holder with cushioning members interposed therebetween. Stoppers are disposed respectively in three chambers defined in the holder. A groove is defined in an inner circumferential surface of a winding core around which the narrower web is wound, and the cushioning members are fitted in the groove. A pressing force of the spring is applied through the stoppers to the winding core which is mounted on the holder.
