The cradle also includes a top device receiver coupled to the cradle base and configured to receive and retain a top portion of the mobile device received in the cradle and a bottom device receiver coupled to the cradle base and configured to receive and retain a bottom portion of the mobile device received in the cradle.

The device may permit an acupuncture practitioner to remove an acupuncture needle from bulk packaging, without accidentally touching the shaft of an adjacent or another acupuncture needle contained within the same bulk packaging, or accidentally spilling needles in an open package while moving packaging around during treatment.

Also provided is a system for fixing an accessory to a wheelchair or other mobility equipment. The system has a holder device, such as that described above, and a sliding member for interfacing with the holder device. The sliding member has a sliding surface for mating with the holder surface, a first sliding magnet at the sliding surface of the sliding member, and a second sliding magnet spaced apart from the first sliding magnet.

Abstract: Theoretical and practical constraints disallow direct determination of the structure of the atomic nucleus. Contained herein is a magnet model of the atomic nucleus, derived from considerations of charge density, RMS charge radii, magnetic moments, and nucleon binding energy. These physical properties point to a sequential, alternating up and down quark structure modeled in the present invention by an array of magnets alternating in polarity. The summation of the pull forces of the two magnet poles is unequal, and when two such magnet arrays are placed opposite one another in magnetic potential energy barrier assembly, the two arrays repel at a distance and attract when near one another. In one embodiment, the ratio of the maximum attractive force to the maximum repulsive force very closely approximates the strong force constant 137. This invention serves as a demonstration of the Coulomb barrier for the student, and a potentially useful model for probing the forces and structure of the atomic nucleus.

Abstract: A system includes knobs on an item of gear and a latch attached to a carrier. Each knob has a neck and a head with a larger diameter. First and second sliders fit into a latch frame. Hooks on the sliders form expandable apertures. To attach, the knob is pushed against the slider hooks to expand the aperture. After the head passes through the aperture, a spring biases the hooks together so the aperture width is smaller than the head diameter, capturing the knob. A carrier adapter adapts the latch to a carrier. Adapters are available for duty belts, MOLLE-equipped carriers, and horizontal slots.

Abstract: A cellphone couplable container assembly having a portable and reusable container operably configured to store liquid contents within an internal cavity while simultaneously retaining a cellphone or other similar electronic device magnetically selectively attached to the exterior of the portable container. In one embodiment, a plurality of magnets with ferromagnetic properties are disposed on the outer shell of the cellphone couplable container assembly and are proportionately shaped and sized to correspond to a cellphone magnet disposed on a user's cellphone. Additional protrusions may provide additional structural support for a more secure of the cellphone to the cellphone couplable container assembly.

Abstract: A magnetic attachment assembly for attaching a first object to a second object includes a first and second ferromagnetic devices possessing an attractive magnetic property pulling each toward one another. The first ferromagnetic device is attached to the first object and an adhesive layer on the second ferromagnetic device is for attaching the second ferromagnetic device to the second object. A removable separator is initially positioned intermediate the first ferromagnetic device and the second ferromagnetic device and is frictionally held in place prior to attachment of the second ferromagnetic device to the second object. During installation, the user pushes the attachment assembly onto the second object, pulls the first ferromagnetic device away from the second ferromagnetic device, removes the separator, and then pushes the first ferromagnetic device back to the second ferromagnetic device thereby attaching the first object to the second object.

Abstract: A device for use in hanging sheet material is described. The device includes a body member, a catch member, and a hook. The body member has a crown portion, and pair of spaced apart legs that extend from the crown portion and define a slot there between. The slot opening at a bottom end such that the body member may locate on an edge of the sheet material with a portion of sheet material positioned within the slot. The catch member is movable between an engaged position in which the catch member resists removal of sheet material that is positioned within the slot thereby retaining the sheet material to the body member, and a retracted position in which sheet material is removable from the slot. The hook includes a bight portion, a shank portion and a point end.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a reusable writing panel including a writing surface and attachment mechanisms is disclosed. The writing panel may include a stacked layer configuration, having a front or first layer defining a writing surface and a rear or second layer defining a connection surface, with an optional spacer layer positioned therebetween. The connection surface may include one or more attachable or securable elements, such as a first attraction element and a second attraction element, that may generate different types of attraction forces, e.g., magnetic and suction. This variation in connection types allows the panel to be securable to various types of objects or surfaces, e.g., magnetic and non-magnetic surfaces.

The retrofit lighting fixture includes a lighting panel, a spring and a magnet. The lighting panel has light sources and electrical wiring. The lighting panel electrical wiring is connected to the electrical wiring of the pre-existing lighting. The spring has a first end connected to the lighting panel and a second end connected to the magnet. The magnet is attached to the recessed center portion of the troffer, and the spring is configured to pull the lighting panel against the outer perimeter edge of the troffer. In some applications the retrofit lighting fixture is a LED lighting fixture.

The activating includes illuminating the indicator light and generating sound from the audio output device to alert a monitor user that is safe to weld.

Abstract: The invention relates to a framed art hanging system for hanging pictures and other similar items such as art, photos, diplomas, posters, paintings and framed sports memorabilia on walls. The system allows the installer of a framed picture to easily hang the picture utilizing the combination of a magnetic connection and a mechanical connection. The magnetic connection is achieved by utilizing a magnet, preferably adhered to a plate which is attached to either the back of the picture frame or to the wall and a metal plate which is magnetically attracted to the magnet, the metal plate being placed on the other location (either the back of the picture frame or to the wall). Three example ways to achieve a mechanical connection are described. The first way is to place an abrasive coating on either the frame plate or the magnet plate and a deformable substance coating on the other. The second way is to combine fins and grooves, one being placed on the frame plate and the other being placed on the magnet plate.
