  • Patent number: 9609964
Abstract: A positive locking hanging system is specifically adapted for locking a panel to a wall. The system includes a first elongated mounting member that is configured to be mountable to a wall, and a second elongated mounting member configured to be attachable to a panel. When the first elongated mounting member and the second elongated mounting member are engaged, notches in the first and second elongated mounting members are aligned to form a locking channel. A user may lock the second elongated mounting member to the first elongated mounting member (i.e., lock the panel to the wall) by inserting a locking element into the locking channel. The locking element constrains the movement of the elongated mounting members which results in the panel being locked to the wall. As a result, this may address seismic concerns such as an earthquake, and may prevent a thief from merely removing the panel from the wall when the locking element is inserted.

Abstract: A convertible mounting system for selectively positioning a flat panel display on either a generally horizontal surface or a generally vertical surface. In some embodiments, the convertible mounting system includes a first mount portion and a second mount portion. The first mount portion cooperates with the second mount portion in a first orientation to position a flat panel display on a generally horizontal surface. The first mount portion also cooperates with the second mount portion in a second orientation to position the flat panel display on a generally vertical surface.

Abstract: A shear brace assembly is provided which laterally braces wall lines within a structure, such as a house or other residential construction, while also providing vertical and out-of-plane load carrying capacity. The assembly consists of one or more wood-based panel(s) which are rigidly connected to concrete, masonry or wood support material directly below or above the shear brace assembly bearing surface. The term “wood-based” should be interpreted to mean that the panel may be constructed from a natural wood, or partially or wholly from an engineered wood, such as Timberstrand®, Parallam®, or the like. Ductile anchorage assemblies are used below, and in some applications, above the individual panels.

Abstract: A patient care equipment support is transferable between a first device having a first coupling member and a second device having a second coupling member. The equipment support comprises an equipment supporting portion configured to support patient care equipment, and a coupler extending downwardly from the equipment supporting portion. The coupler has a central opening and a plurality of peripheral openings disposed about the central opening. The first coupling member engages the central opening and at least one of the peripheral openings when the equipment support is carried by the first device. The second coupling member engages the central opening and at least one of the remaining peripheral openings when the equipment support is transferred to the second device.

Abstract: A storm panel is provided for shielding a structure. The storm panel includes at least one corrugation, and comprises a first wall and a second wall disposed in spaced-apart relation. An angled wall is disposed between and connected to the first wall and the second wall to support the second wall away from the first wall. At least one ridge is disposed proximate the point of connection between the second wall and the angled wall, and may have a shape configured to strengthen the panel proximate the point of connection between the second wall and the angled wall. In addition, a storm panel assembly is provided comprising at least one storm panel and a mounting extrusion for attachment to the storm panel to provide support for the storm panel on a mounting surface, such as the side of a building.

Abstract: A drink cup holder mount includes a drink cup holder unit having a fixing rod sideward extended from a peripheral wall thereof; a mounting unit having two through holes correspondingly formed thereon; a fastening element; and at least one packing pad for inserting in the mounting unit. The fixing rod may be extended through the two through holes on the mounting unit to engage with the fastening element, so that the mounting unit is held to the fixing rod between the drink cup holder unit and the fastening element and could be pivotally turned about the fixing rod to any desired direction. Therefore, the drink cup holder mount could be connected to a bar-shaped member extended in any direction and provides more flexibility in use.

Abstract: The present invention includes a set of reinforcement and support devices for existing or new roof, ceiling and/or floor systems together with numerous variations that may be installed into existing buildings or new buildings to help prevent separation of wood or metal roof, ceiling and/or floor systems from the concrete, masonry or other types of walls supporting these systems in commercial, industrial and/or residential buildings. One embodiment includes a set of three brackets that are installed in a triangularly shaped arrangement along a side of a primary support beam and to the wall underneath a ledger, thus anchoring the support beam to the wall of the structure and stabilizing the roof, ceiling or floor it supports. Another embodiment includes a single integrated unit that attaches to the wall underneath the ledger and to an adjacent support board, thus anchoring the support board (and the system it supports) to the wall of the structure.
