Abstract: A chair backrest mounting bracket includes a highly elastic main body for disposing between a chair backrest and a backrest support; a rigid middle fixing seat embedded in a middle section of the main body and having a centered middle mounting hole for a middle bolt to extend therethrough into a threaded hole correspondingly provided on the backrest support; and a plurality of rigid side fixing seats symmetrically embedded in opposite outer ends of the main body and having a centered side mounting hole each for a side bolt to extend therethrough into a threaded hole correspondingly provided on the chair backrest. Since the main body is elastically deformable under an externally applied force, the chair backrest connected to the backrest support via the mounting bracket is allowed to freely elastically deflect relative to the backrest support.

The receptacle is connected to the bicycle. The insert is connected to the selected accessory so that the selected accessory is detachably connected to the bicycle when the insert is inserted in the receptacle. The fastening device is used to keep the insert in the receptacle.

Abstract: A grid wall display system and grid wall brackets for use therein, the grid wall brackets configured to removably secure to adjacent vertical supports and to securely retain a grid wall panel therebetween, without requiring permanent attachment or hardware to secure the grid wall panel to the bracket or the bracket to the vertical supports. Abstract: An accessory mounting system for vehicles or the like including one or more mounting rails, one or more mounting clamps, and one optional sliding rail per clamp. The mounting rail is trapezoidal in profile, and may include one or more pieces, and is permanently mounted to the vehicle frame, body, or other component and oriented with the wider of the two parallel faces facing outward from the vehicle. The mounting clamp assembly utilizes two opposed V-shaped jaws of an equal or slightly more acute angle than that represented by the angle between the wider of the two parallel faces of the mounting rail and one of its two adjoining non-parallel faces such that when the mounting clamp assembly is engaged on the mounting rail, the mounting rail nests between the two opposing jaws of the mounting clamp assembly, creating maximum surface area contact between the mounting clamp and the mounting rail in order to generate a very high coefficient of friction.

The cabinet cleat mounts to the stowage cabinet before installing the cabinet within the motor vehicle. The cabinet cleat engages a roof cleat that is fastened to the roof. The stowage cabinet is held in place by the cabinet cleat nested within the roof cleat while the stowage cabinet is fastened at other locations to the vehicle frame.

The wide part of the vertical side is flanked by vertical graduations. Abstract: A modular cargo carrier system comprising at least one pair of carrier modules and means for attaching said modules to a vehicle or to a support on a vehicle. The modules each have a top, a bottom, sides and ends, the attaching means being located on at least a bottom and one side whereby the modules may be mounted in different orientations on the vehicle top to carry different types of cargo. The modules further include longitudinal and transverse cargo grooves or contoured cargo contact surfaces on the top and on at least one side and/or end for supporting cargo in said grooves. Abstract: The present invention can be attached to any type of roof which comprises an outer layer attached to a substrate layer. The present invention comprises a block having a base and a top, a snow guard attached to the block, and two rods, each having a first and a second terminal end and a predetermined length therebetween. The first terminal end of each rod is attached to the base of the block. To secure the block to the roof, two holes are placed through the outer and substrate layers of the roof. The base of the block is placed in juxtaposition with the outer layer of the roof, with the second terminal ends of the two rods located through the holes in the roof. The length of the two rods is sufficient to allow the second terminal ends thereof to extend below the substrate layer of the roof.

An extension bracket provides side and top mounting positions beyond the original positions. A special electrical design permits electrical accessories mounted to a grooved base and wired to its electrical contacts to repetitively engage and disengage mating contacts for power hookup provided within a winged pedestal base so that the electrical accessories attached to the grooved base may be quickly attached or removed as desired while leaving the winged pedestal permanently installed. Easily operated wire locks are provided on all accessory mounts and are instantly released by fingertip force.

Abstract: A navigation unit having a gyro sensor mounted thereon. The unit includes a mounting mechanism for changing the mounting direction of the gyro sensor so that the rotation detecting axis of the gyro sensor may be vertical, i.e. normal to a vehicle. In one embodiment, the navigation unit includes a support device for supporting the gyro sensor rotatably with respect to a casing. The gyro sensor may be supported in a rocking manner in the casing, and mounted to be changed between a first mounting direction and a second mounting direction perpendicular to the first mounting direction. In the preferred construction, the gyro sensor has a first pin and a second pin, and the casing has a first guide groove for receiving and guiding the first pin, and a second guide groove extending perpendicular to the first guide groove for receiving and guiding the second pin. The second guide groove provides a rocking center for the gyro sensor.

Abstract: An electronic still camera is adapted for use with a portable computer which has a computer housing formed with a battery receiving chamber for receiving removably a battery pack therein, a power supplying device, and a set of first battery charging contacts mounted in the battery receiving chamber for connecting electrically the battery pack to the power supplying device so as to permit recharging of the battery pack when the power supplying device is active, and so as to enable the battery pack to supply electrical power to the portable computer when the power supplying device is inactive.

Abstract: An air treatment system having a relatively large capacity yet a relatively small footprint and low sound level. The air treatment system includes a housing defining adjacent vertically extending inlet and outlet chambers. A blower is mounted within the inlet chamber to move air through the system. A generally planar filter is contained within the outlet chamber and is spaced apart from the rear wall of the housing to define a plenum. The rear wall of the housing is curved so that the plenum is tapered to provide uniform pressure over the face of the filter. The system is adapted to rest upon the floor or mount either vertically or horizontal to a wall. Additionally, the system includes a control mechanism that allows the system to run at full speed for a predetermined period of time and then automatically return to its previous speed level.

The carrier member and the base have formed thereon interlocking elements for interlocking the carrier member with the base, said interlocking elements being disengageable to permit removal of the carrier member from the base. The inter-locking elements are arrayed such to allow the carrier member to be mounted on and interlocked with the base in different posi-tions angularly displaced from one another.

A plate is positioned in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane and is connected with adjacent edges to the connecting bar and the two parallel legs. The plate has a first and a second set of two grooves that extend parallel to one another on opposite sides of the plate. The first and second sets extend spaced from one another parallel to the connecting bar. The plate further has a third and fourth set of two grooves that extend parallel to one another on opposite sides of the plate. The third and fourth sets extend spaced from one another parallel to the two parallel legs.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the universal support bracket 10 is illustrated for supporting a fiber optic cable carrier 28 in a telecommunication overhead cable distribution system 12. The bracket 10 includes a body section 40 that has an arm 46 that extends outward with a supporting surface for receiving and supporting cable carrier 28 at various spaced locations. The support bracket 10 includes a second body section 40 that is supported therebetween by a brace 44 in which the body section 42 has complementary clamping members 54 and 56. The body section 42 has a vertical aperture 64, a horizontal aperture 68 and a rectangular aperture 72 for receiving and clamping the bracket 10 securely to the support rods either in an upright orientation or in a tilting, sideways orientation or to a side rail 18 of the distribution system.

Abstract: A beverage container holder comprising alternate supports to protect a beverage from contaminates by securing the same in convenient locations and preventing accidental spills. The holder includes a longitudinally extending spine which provides the body of the holder and which contains, at an upper end, connector means and, at an opposite end, at least one stake means. The a connector means comprises a connector through which a tether is threaded to secure the holder on various supports such as lounge chairs, umbrella stands, or the like. Alternatively, an inverted U-shaped clip may be provided to secure the holder to the inside of a car door. The stake comprises prongs to be inserted into ground surfaces such as turf or sand to support the holder upon the ground. The spine also includes rings which surround and secure the beverage within the holder. Both the rings and the stakes may be compacted to provide a collapsible beverage container holder which is easily stored and transported.

Abstract: A bag stabilizer for a bicycle pack having two elongated material strips, two hooks and a fastener. The elongated material strips are connected to the top part of the pack extending through two hooks and out the bottom part into and through a fastener. The bag stabilizer prevents movement of the bag and its contents, particularly while the bicycle is in motion.

Abstract: An apparatus for detachably attaching to a bed side rail and supporting a telephone thereon. The apparatus includes V-shaped slots for slipping over and receiving the side rail horizontal bar and a spring clamp therebelow adapted for detachable attachment to a side rail vertical bar. The telephone support surface can be horizontal or at an angle from the vertical. The telephone is detachably attached to the apparatus. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes slots adapted to receive and frictionally engage the side rail horizontal bar.

In a vertical installation configuration, an aperture disposed in the installation interface of the communication device (105) further encompassed by the wedge shaped platform (103) provides a volume of space to store excess electrical cord (205) used for the communication device.

Abstract: A device for holding artists' brushes and the like having two pairs of opposed rows of reeds with their tips in close proximity, the reeds deflecting to support the handle of the brush at spaced apart points. The device permits the brushes to be stored horizontally to prevent draining of wet paint onto the handles, or in other attitudes that may be preferred by the user.

Abstract: A basketball hoop structure includes a small scale basketball hoop member securable to a door or other structure by a bracket. The bracket is of a generally U-shape for selective alternative receipt of a horizontal and vertical edge of the door. In a first preferred embodiment the universal container holder is characterized by a clip element fitted with a supporting suction cup and provided with curved, spaced clip legs for receiving a corresponding bar tab of a T-bar element which may be attached to a receptacle designed to receive a beverage container. In a second preferred embodiment the T-bar element includes a beverage container receptacle. The T-bar element may be permanently attached to an insulated beverage container receptacle or an alternative container receptacle or it may be removably attached to the container receptacle, as desired.

Abstract: A rotatable disk mounted to a baseplate at each corner of a refuse compactor pivots between a first orientation having a horizontal axis of rotation for operation as a wheel and a second orientation having a vertical axis of rotation for operation as a leg. The disk is mounted on a bearing support that interfits with elongated slots formed in the baseplate to enable the height of any corner of the compactor, independent of the orientation of the disk, to be adjusted. In one embodiment, the bearing support comprises a nylon block into which an axle of the rotatable disk is snap-fit. In another embodiment, the bearing support comprises an angle bracket to which the axle is welded.

Abstract: A mounting bracket for securing a manifold valve to a support pipe is provided wherein plural support members extend outwardly from one leg of the bracket. The support members are designed to accommodate various manifold conformations, selective use of a steam block, and use of the same size mounting bolts. The mounting bracket is adaptable to securing on both horizontal and vertical support pipes through the use of a pair of U-bolts cooperating with four symmetrically spaced apertures. The mounting bracket facilitates installation of a differential pressure cell to an associated valve manifold independently from initial assembly of the manifold to the mounting bracket and connection of fluid system piping to the manifold.
