Abstract: A method and system for applying therapeutic stimulation to a patient stricken with paralysis or other condition. The inventive method includes the steps of: inserting an acupuncture needle against the spine of the patient and applying an electrical potential to the needle with a signal that mimics natural neural impulses in the body. The needle is located depending on the nature of the patient's condition. In the illustrative application, the needle is inserted against the ligamentum flavum of the patient's spine at L3. In the best mode, the patient's legs are moved during the application of the electrical potential. The inventive system is adapted to minimize a notch reaction and includes an electrode inserted into a tissue of the patient and a circuit for applying an electrical potential to the electrodes with a signal that mimics natural neural impulses in the body.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a rack, a chassis slidably moved into the rack, and a fixing assembly. A positioning hole is defined near a front edge of the rack. The fixing assembly includes a fixing device fixed on a front wall of the chassis, a pushing member rotatably coupled with a lower portion of the front wall, and a threaded member. The pushing member includes a pushing tip capable of extending into the positioning hole. A rotary member and a sliding member are assembled in the fixing device; an elastic member is disposed between the fixing device and the sliding member. The rotary member defines a threaded hole; the threaded member extends through the pushing member to engage in the threaded hole. A number of teeth extend from a periphery of the rotary member, a bulge of the sliding member and is capable of insetting between two adjacent teeth.

Abstract: A mobile support structure for a display device includes a cross bar having a first end and a second end, a display, a first pair of legs, and a second pair of legs. A first coupling defines a first transverse cavity receiving the cross bar and a first pair of axial cavities receiving the first pair of legs. A second coupling defines a second transverse cavity receiving the cross bar and a second pair of axial cavities receiving the second pair of legs. A locking mechanism is disposed in at least one of the cross bar and the first pair of legs. A wheel coupling includes a wheel and is engaged with at least one of the first coupling and the second coupling such that when in a moving position, the wheel contacts a ground surface and rolls the display from a first location to a second location.

The convertible rack fixture has a base with a top surface, two uprights extending from the top surface, two bottom crossbars extending between the two uprights, and two top crossbars extending between tops of the two uprights. The extendable frame assembly is located between the two bottom crossbars and between the two top crossbars and has a base frame and a telescoping frame that telescopes out of the base frame. The base frame has two substantially vertical legs that rest on the top surface of the base of the convertible rack and a lateral support that extends between the two substantially vertical legs separate from the top surface of the base.

The stiffener may be two separate elements which releasably connect and secure the outer area of the flexure there between. The adjustors are configured to move upward or downward and contact the slit diaphragm flexure to thereby move the slit diaphragm flexure in response to movement of the adjustor. The flexure includes two or more slits that allow movement of a center area relative to an outer ring. The slit includes relieved areas that provide stress relief and increase orthogonal of movement.

Abstract: A freestanding portable holding apparatus for a handheld mirror comprises a base which ensures stability and a center-mounted pole extending upward from the base having a height adjustment mechanism that allows the pole to be extended upwards or downwards as desired by the user. An upper end of the apparatus is provided with an adjustable clip to hold a variety of handheld mirrors in an inverted fashion. It is adjustable in height so that a user can see the rear of their head while looking in another stationary mirror. This feature affords the user the use of both hands while styling hair without having to constantly switch and move the handheld mirror in one hand.

The anchor attachment defines a marking bore offset from the anchor and angled relative to the axis of the anchor to position a marking device, e.g., a pencil, at the intersection of the axis of the anchor and the wall in order to mark the wall and transfer the vertical location of the anchor to the wall.

A fixed end and action end of the extension stem are connected to the fixed frame and movable frame, respectively. The extension stem exerts a force on the movable frame to support the movable frame with a board to a desired height.

The photo-frame-type display may be disposed on a tabletop in a fashion resembling a traditional photo frame, and the support unit is capable of steadily sustaining the display frame unit in a steep inclining configuration suitable for touch-screen/handwriting operations.

The picture frame holder of the present invention includes a base with a slot and a vertical support having outwardly extending appendages, each of which has both vertical and horizontal slots aligned with the slot in the base. The appendages are spaced at a distance apart from one another which is substantially equal to the smaller dimension of the frame which it is to accommodate. Thus, it is possible to slide a picture frame into the picture frame holder using the horizontal or vertical slots which will allow the picture frame to be oriented in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.

According to the invention, the gooseneck is long enough so that it can be used to support the mirror in a variety of ways. For example, the gooseneck can be extended its full length with its end bent into a hook and then hung from a door. The gooseneck can also be bent into a semi-circle or similar configuration to be used as a table top stand.

The system is compromised of at least one flat, stiff piece of material and one main piece of material flexible enough to manually distort slightly. In one embodiment an item to be displayed is sandwiched between two stiff pieces of material and is inserted into a uniquely shaped hole(s) cut into the flexible main piece of the photo frame. The shaped hole(s) is cut such that a portion of the main flexible piece presses against the front of the sandwich while another portion presses against the back of the sandwich. After the sandwich is inserted and the flexible material is allowed to return to its original shape, the sandwich is pressed together effectively capturing the photo or the like in the sandwich.
