Abstract: A device is provided for hanging a frame member against a wall includes a crossbar and first and second vertical arms oriented perpendicular to the crossbar. The crossbar has a longitudinal track and a leveling bubble. The first and second vertical arms each have a linear track that extends along the length, and a marker on the rearward surface thereof. The vertical arms are retained to the crossbar by knuckles having a guide for slideably engaging the linear track of the vertical arms and the first vertical arms are retained perpendicular to the crossbar and are longitudinally moveable perpendicular to the linear edge.

Abstract: A releasable hanging system having a loop fastener component and a hook fastener component. The loop fastener component includes a flexible patch carrying a field of engageable fibers exposed on a front side of the patch and an adhesive on a back side of the patch. The hook fastener component includes a resin base carrying an array of male touch fastener elements. A significant majority of the male touch fastener elements each extend from the base to a distal tip to overhang the base in a single, common direction. The fastening system can be used to hang an object on a vertical surface such that the male touch fastener elements of the significant majority bear the weight of the object in a downward direction, and such that the significant majority of the male touch fastener elements are oriented so as not to inhibit lifting of the object in an upward direction.

Abstract: A system can be used to hang an object, such as a piece of artwork or a photo, on a wall. The system is configured to easily center the object on a wall and to identify a location on the wall where a nail, hook, or other hanging device can be positioned on the wall to properly center the object.

Abstract: One bracket assembly constructed of aluminum; however any metal, modern plastic or composite material may be substituted. Bracket assembly consists of a front mounting plate (FIG. 2) and a base mounting assembly or plate (FIG. 3). The base mounting assembly or plate contains a pull pin (FIG. 3, 15) locking device, which is attached to the base plate by square aluminum nut (FIG. 3, 17) welded to the tube. The front mounting plate consists of a notch (FIG. 2, 9) in the rod (8) that the pull pin (FIG. 3, 15) locks in to. This allows for assembly of the bracket and quick removal of the front mounting plate (FIG. 2) when desired. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: A standoff adaptor for a threaded hollow wall anchor for mounting an item to a wall. A threaded member has a washer mounted thereon with a recess to receive and contact the head of a mounting anchor. The distal end of the threaded member is received into a standoff having at its opposite end a bolt threadedly mounted thereto for holding an item between the bolt and standoff.

Abstract: An improved mount for, and method of mounting an, optical structure is provided. The mount has a protruding member extending from a surface of the optical structure, a base element having a mounting structure for mounting the mount to another structure and an upper element extending from the base element having a first opening extending therethrough for receipt therein of at least a portion of the protruding member. The first opening defines first and second arms, each of the arms comprising a head portion and each of the head portions ending at an end. A second opening in the upper element extends through one of the head portions and the end thereof in a direction toward the other head portion, while a third opening exists in the upper element through the end of the other head portion in an orientation substantially opposite to and in communication with the second opening so that a tightening mechanism received through the second opening can be received into the third opening.

Abstract: A mounting bracket is disclosed for mounting a mirror on the passenger side of a vehicle in a manner such that the driver of the vehicle will be able to directly view the mirror through the front windshield of the vehicle as opposed to the passenger window of the vehicle and accordingly view the space on the side of the vehicle. The mounting bracket supports the mirror and is secured to the right front fascia of the vehicle. An additional side connector connects the bracket portion near the mirror to the pillar of the right side of the vehicle. The pillar is intermediate the front windshield and the passenger side window. Additionally, the mounting bracket may be adapted to vehicles which have their steering wheel on the right side and the mounting bracket may be used on the driver side for the driver to view the side view mirror through the windshield.

Abstract: A fastening system for add-on parts to vehicles allows the add-on parts to be easily installed and removed. The fastening system includes a connection part that lies against the vehicle and the add-on part, which includes a base. The connection part is designed as a profiled element whose outer surface corresponds to the outer surface of a prism having a cross section of a regular polygon with at least one interior angle deviating from 90°. The base has a trapezoidal groove with opposing surfaces on opposing sides of a base surface that are arranged at an angle from each other. The two opposing surfaces lie flush with wiggle-free engagement against two lateral surfaces of the connection part. A hole extends through the base symmetrically with respect to the groove. A connecting element is inserted through an opening in the base and engages in a receptacle of the connection part.

Abstract: Accuracy of positioning of a turning body to a mounting member when the mounting member and a support member are separate components is improved. In a vehicle door mirror device, a stand of a housing device is mounted to a base by being fastened with mounting screws. Axial directions of the mounting screws are angled with respect to an axial direction of the stand. An inner periphery abutting face and a vertical abutting face of the stand are abutted against an outer periphery abutting face and a perpendicular abutting face of the base in directions perpendicular to the axis of the stand. Thus, the stand is positioned to the base in whole directions perpendicular to the axis of the stand. Therefore, positioning accuracy of the housing device and a main body portion to the base in whole directions perpendicular to the axis of the stand can be improved.

Abstract: A system for wall-mounting an object for viewing comprising a wall hanger having lugs extending therefrom, and a one-piece back plate formed to mate with the wall hanger via keyhole openings. An optional pre-formed frame may be receptive of the object and the back plate, may be formed of wood, plastic, or metal, has an opening on the front side, and may be relieved at its rear side to provide a relief for receiving the object and optionally a pane of glass and the back plate. A spacer optionally may be included between the object and the back plate. The back plate is attached to the frame conventionally. Where the back plate is not fitted within the relief but extends outboard thereof, the frame may be further relieved locally to obviate interference of the frame with the lugs extending through the back plate.

Abstract: A wall mount assembly includes a first engagement member and a second engagement member. The first engagement member includes a slide structure and two positioning indentations oppositely disposed relative to the slide structure. The second engagement member includes a slider and two positioning bosses oppositely disposed relative to the slider. The first engagement member and the second engagement member are capable of being correspondingly disposed on an object and a wall. When the slider enters the slide structure from an entrance of the slide structure and is confined to slide relative to the slide structure so as to be blocked at a stop position of the slide structure, the two positioning bosses are embedded in the two positioning indentations respectively so that the object can be fixed on the wall stably. Therefore, the wall mount assembly simplifies the wall-mount operation of the object and provides a stable wall-mount effect.

Abstract: A tile holder and methods of its use are described. Embodiments of the tile holder are adapted to mounting to suitable objects and removably and replaceably receiving tiles and the like. Embodiments of the tile holder comprise a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shaped tile frame having a frame having a face plate having an aperture for exposing a face of the tile and the like, a back plate removably and releasably fastened to the frame and having a stud for mounting to a post having a receiving hole for receiving the stud of the back plate and locking the back plate to the post with a fastener, another fastener for fastening the post to a suitable object, and an optional escutcheon for optionally fastening the post to the escutcheon and the escutcheon to a wall or other suitable object.

Abstract: A reflective decoy device for hunting wild turkey employs a glass mirror and strutted gobbler feathers. The turkey decoy device is attached to a hunting weapon, such as a shotgun or compound bow, with its mirror element substantially vertical to the line of fire. A partially transparent, partially reflective one-way mirror, half-silvered sight is incorporated in the mirror decoy for aiming the mirror perpendicular to the line of sight. This device create an illusion of a 3D decoy which may be used as a big game decoy for various animals such as antelope, mule deer, white tail, and elk.

Abstract: A wear compensator for a pivoting detent joint comprising a carrier base having a bearing housing and a bearing ring disposed in an interior channel of the bearing housing. A pivot cylinder is carried in the interior channel bearing against the bearing ring. An inner cone slidably carried in a cylinder recess of the pivot cylinder. A biasing element forcing the inner cone into the cylinder recess to biases the cylinder wall against the bearing ring. A support arm pivotally mounted to the bearing housing including a lower pivot block receiving and supporting the pivot cylinder in the interior channel, and an upper pivot block having an arm detent ring engaging a base detent ring carried by the bearing housing. Accordingly, the pivot cylinder rotates on the bearing ring and the arm detent ring rotates on the base detent ring to adjust the position of the support arm.

The device comprises a body having a planar portion that lies in a plane defining a first direction and a second direction transverse to the first direction. A plurality of openings are present in the planar portion, and the openings are arranged in a two-dimensional pattern so that each opening is offset in the first and second directions from at least a second of the openings. The device further includes a feature for securing the body to the object.

Abstract: A wall calendar holder that includes a base plate operable to be attached to a vertical surface and a face plate pivotally connected to the base plate. A stanchion extends from a central portion of the base plate and operable serves to support a wall calendar. The face plate snaps into engagement with the stanchion and the combination of the base member and face member serve to hold an upper edge of the wall calendar is a secure and flush condition upon a vertical presentation surface.

Abstract: A spacer assembly for mounting a sign to a wall includes proximal and distal spacer members. The proximal spacer member includes a barrel and a coaxial coupling shaft extended distally from the barrel. The distal spacer member includes a distal barrel and a recess extending into the barrel and sized to slidably and rotatably receive the coupling shaft. A threaded stud extends proximally from the proximal barrel, and a distal threaded stud extends distally from the distal barrel. Each stud is removably threaded into its associate barrel. The distal member barrel supports a radially oriented set screw, movable toward and away from an advanced position in which the screw engages the coupling shaft to integrally secure the barrels. The spacer assembly allows the sign to be detached from the wall while leaving in place the studs coupled to the sign and wall.

Abstract: Glass clips comprising a pair of opposed planar elements separated and joined by fasteners to an attachment means are employed to grasp, support or suspend a plate glass from a stable structure such as a rail, post or flooring. The suspended glass creates a transparent wall or bather that is valued for its expansive and uncluttered visual effect. Glass clips employed in this manner can be more decorative, less functional and contribute to the overall aesthetics and ambience of the setting when a concealing cap conforming generally to the dimensions of the opposed planar elements and configured to slidably engage with one of the planar elements to envelope the surface of that element and conceal any fasteners used to join the elements.

Abstract: A rearview device mounting assembly includes a bracket having a windshield engagement surface. The bracket further includes a neck with a ball. The ball has at least one of either a knurled patch or a striation and the ball is configured to engage a socket in the rearview device. The socket of the rearview device includes fingerlike projections and a ball engaging surface. The ball engaging surface has raised features to frictionally engage the ball and minimize or eliminate droop of the rearview device.

Abstract: The claimed invention is a hanging system for hanging an object, such as a wardrobe mirror, over a door. The invention includes a door hook and an interlock plate. The interlock plate is secured to the object and the door hook is hooked over the top of a door. The interlock plate includes interlock clips that fit into and engage with apertures on the door hook. This configuration allows the user to quickly and easily assemble and disassemble the over door hanging system.

Abstract: A method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface is provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one opening in a face of the solid surface and inserting a plaque support into the at least one opening. The plaque support includes a body defining a passageway therethrough and having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange portion. Further, at least one outer tab member extends radially outward toward the first end and at least one inner tab member extends radially inward toward the second end. The outer tab member engages the solid surface upon insertion of the plaque support into the at least one opening. The method and system further include providing the plaque with at least one installation fastener. The at least one installation fastener is inserted into the passageway of the plaque support, such that the at least one inner tab member engages the at least one installation fastener.

Abstract: A wall hook useful for hanging framed pictures and other objects on a wall. The hook is formed form metal sheet, configured to provide a narrow aperture to contain the selected hanging wire. That hook aperture can be easily adjusted in size using conventional tools to bring the opening to a close slip fit to the actual wire diameter thereby further reducing any possibility that the wire would escape during seismic activity. A dual post wall hook embodiment can be installed using a latch arm that closes the aperture of wall hook to further secure the hanging wire.

Abstract: An artwork protection device (2) having a set of brackets (1) that mount into a wall (18) which support a clear protective cover (14) over the front of a piece of hanging artwork (16). Each bracket has a footing (3) with a proximal end (4) and a distal end (5). The proximal end is attached to the wall using a screw, a bolt and a wall anchor and so forth. An extension (8) having a distal end (9) and a proximal end (10) that attaches to the distal end of the footing. The proximal end of the extension preferably has a recessed edge (12) that is placed through an aperture (13) located on a periphery of the protective cover. A cap (15) attaches to the proximal end of the extension, thereby locking the protective cover in place. The device allows a user to easily remove the protective cover and bracket extensions when the user wants to fully display the painting and to attach the caps directly to the footings to give an aesthetic appearance to the footings.

Abstract: An IV hanger providing a portable adjustable hanging attachment for conventional intravenous equipment comprises an attachment method, a pulley system, and a hanging bracket. The attachment method comprises a plurality of attachment means for attaching the apparatus to an elevated structure. The attachment method is integrally connected to a pulley system which allows a user to selectively adjust the height of the hanging bracket relative to the frame. The hanging bracket provides a plurality of attachment hooks for support of IV equipment. The apparatus is particularly adapted for veterinary field calls where ground-based support system are prone to damage or disturbance by animal patients.

Abstract: Mounting construction for mounting an adjustment instrument to a carrier for an outside mirror unit, comprising first mounting parts on the adjustment instrument and second mounting parts on the carrier, which mounting parts guide the adjustment instrument from a first position to a second position in a direction along the carrier, the mounting parts cooperating with each other in the second position to fix movement of the adjustment instrument relative to the carrier in a direction transverse to the carrier, while in the first position the adjustment instrument and the carrier are clear of each other.

Abstract: A mirror mount includes a one-piece molecularly continuous base member and a mirror arm. The mirror arm fastens a mirror to the base member. The base member may also have first and second ends, a side portion, and a reinforcement. The side portion extends between the first and second ends. The first end is generally vertical when the base member is affixed to a fender, and the first end receives a generally horizontal fastener that passes through the first end, through two portions of the fender, and into the base member so as to fasten the base member to the fender. The side portion has a contour that generally follows a profile of the fender. The reinforcement reinforces the first end.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to techniques for bonding automotive brackets for sensors, rear view mirrors, and/or other components to an interior surface of the glass. The adhesive films of certain example embodiments may be film-based adhesives that may be die-cut and pre-applied to the brackets or components. They may have a good initial adhesion or green strength immediately upon contact with the glass. In certain example instances, the films may be applied and successfully bond to the glass at near ambient temperature conditions to a strength level adequate to meet operational specifications for the component in under 72 hours.

Abstract: An automotive side view mirror attachment assembly includes first and second loading surfaces for engaging a mounting member of a side view mirror assembly, wherein the first and second loading surfaces are disposed within an interior of a vehicle door, such that, in assembly, a mounting member of the mirror assembly is substantially or fully disposed within the interior of a vehicle door, thereby minimizing the overall minor footprint by eliminating the need for an external base for attachment of a mirror assembly to a vehicle door.

Abstract: A display magnetic hanger system provides a hanger support that may be repeatedly attached and removed at desired locations on a structure using a remote installation tool to install the hanger support and to install items for display on the hanger support. The installation of the hanger support is to a pre-installed magnet location marker at the desired location(s) on a structure. The desired location may be out of reach of the user desiring to display an item but the system and display item is easily installed using the long-handled remote installation tool.

Abstract: A substrate-mountable holder system, comprising: a first portion comprising a base having first and second front surfaces, a rear surface, a top and a bottom, a hook extending from proximate the bottom, a lobe extending rearwardly from a rear surface proximate the top, a pad extending rearwardly from the rear surface, an opening for receiving an anchor extending through the base, the opening between the lobe and the pad; and a second portion for operatively engaging the first portion; wherein the first and second portions each include at least one, and preferably a plurality of, interfacing protrusions and indentations for engaging the second portion with the first portion. Each of the protrusions and indentations on the first and second portions may be proximate the bottom of their respective portions. The system further may include a self-drilling drywall anchor having a bore, and a fastener for operatively engaging the first portion and the bore.

Abstract: Devices and systems for leveling wall hangings and for maintaining the wall hangings level can include magnets and magnetic targets. As an example, a magnet can be secured to one of a wall hanging and a wall, and the magnetic target can be secured to the other of a wall hanging and a wall. Interaction between the magnet and the magnetic target can aid in positioning the wall hanging. The magnetic target can include another magnet or a magnetic material.

Abstract: A mount for mounting a mirror on a knife. The knife has a blade, a blade tip, and a handle. The mount has a base that is configured to engage a mirror, and a housing that is coupled with the base. The housing defines a cavity that is configured for receiving at least a portion of the knife blade such that the blade tip is substantially enclosed by the housing when the blade is positioned in the cavity. Preferably, the housing encloses approximately between 1 to 5 inches of the knife blade.

Abstract: A picture hanger has a base portion having a hole for an elongated fastener (nail or screw). The base portion carries a member enclosing a front face or the entire base portion. The member has a through hole aligned with and on one or both sides of the fastener hole. The elongated fastener is held in place in the holes so that the fastener need not be manually held during driving thereof into a picture frame or wall. The member is injection molded on the base portion, and consists essentially of nylon-6,6 having a Shore A hardness in the range of 80-90.

Abstract: There is provided a device for hanging an object on a wall. The device includes a wall mount and an object mount. One mount has a first bracket portion and a second bracket portion each being u-shaped and configured to receive the other mount. The bracket portions have a space between the bracket portions. The other mount has a projection disposable in the space between the bracket portions. The projection also acts as a safety tab. The bracket portions enable horizontal positioning of the object mount relative to the wall mount to be adjustable. The projection is configured to interact with the bracket portions and limit horizontal movement of the object mount relative to the wall mount to within a set range spanning the space from a first position, where the projection abuts the first bracket portion, to a second position where the projection abuts the second bracket portion.
