Abstract: An artwork protection device (2) having a set of brackets (1) that mount into a wall (18) which support a clear protective cover (14) over the front of a piece of hanging artwork (16). Each bracket has a footing (3) with a proximal end (4) and a distal end (5). The proximal end is attached to the wall using a screw, a bolt and a wall anchor and so forth. An extension (8) having a distal end (9) and a proximal end (10) that attaches to the distal end of the footing. The proximal end of the extension preferably has a recessed edge (12) that is placed through an aperture (13) located on a periphery of the protective cover. A cap (15) attaches to the proximal end of the extension, thereby locking the protective cover in place. The device allows a user to easily remove the protective cover and bracket extensions when the user wants to fully display the painting and to attach the caps directly to the footings to give an aesthetic appearance to the footings.

Abstract: An adjustable wall hanger includes a body including an outer edge that defines a web. An adjustment feature is formed in the web. The adjustment feature includes a plurality of adjustment zones that define a corresponding plurality of orientation positions for the body. The adjustable wall hanger being selectively positionable to support an object on a wall in one of the plurality of orientation positions.

Abstract: A substrate-mountable holder system comprising: a first portion, a cover, an anchor and at least one fastener, the first portion having a hook extending therefrom and at least one opening for receiving the fastener(s), a cover configured to engage the first portion and hide the fastener(s). The first portion may include a lobe proximate the top of the rear surface and a pad spaced from the lobe, the opening between the lobe and pad, for controlling deformation of the first portion. The first and second portions also may have a plurality of releasably engaging detents to lock the second portion in place, and the bottom of the second portion may angle rearward so as to bear against the substrate when the second portion is installed. Moreover, the first portion may include a barb on the lobe and/or one or more tangs extending from a recess in the rear surface of the first portion to embed in the substrate and inhibit rotation of the holder system.

Abstract: A mount for mounting a mirror on a knife. The knife has a blade, a blade tip, and a handle. The mount has a base that is configured to engage a mirror, and a housing that is coupled with the base. The housing defines a cavity that is configured for receiving at least a portion of the knife blade such that the blade tip is substantially enclosed by the housing when the blade is positioned in the cavity. Preferably, the housing encloses approximately between 1 to 5 inches of the knife blade.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for a picture hanging device for mounting a picture to a retention member engaged to a wall that includes a tube having a top portion and a bottom portion, the bottom portion of the tube is designed to receive a retention member mounted to a wall, the top portion of the tube extends into the air for correctly aligning the picture on the retention member, whereby a hanging mechanism engaged to the picture is positioned about the tube and is slide down the tube for engagement to the retention member and the tube is positioned within the center of the picture for correctly aligning the picture on the retention member.

Abstract: A display hanging structure hangs a display on the wall. The display has a rear portion, and the display hanging structure includes at least two hangers, a shaft and at least one fixing block. The hangers are disposed at the rear portion, and each hanger has a hole disposed at an identical altitude comparative to the other hole. The shaft is axial shaped and is disposed in the holes. The fixing block is disposed on the wall and contains a slot for receiving the shaft. Whereby, the display may be firmly stuck on the wall by placing the shaft in the slots.

Abstract: A motor vehicle has an exterior rearview mirror, which is fixed to a vehicle door by a mirror baseplate. An opening, through which the mirror baseplate engages, is provided in an outer skin of the vehicle door, and the mirror baseplate is secured by a multi-point support and a central attachment screw. The mirror baseplate contains, at its free end, a conical attachment which engages in an opening of a door shaft reinforcement, formed as an extruded profile part, a hollow profile part, or a profiled sheet-stamped part, of the vehicle door, as a result of which the exterior rearview mirror is pre-positioned in a positionally correct fashion in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The mirror baseplate is additionally supported on the door shaft reinforcement by a five-point support.

Abstract: A picture frame wall bracket includes a first component for secure attachment to a rear face of a picture frame. The first component has a pair of side walls that define an open slot formed therebetween. The bracket also includes a second component for secure attachment to a support surface. The second component has a first section for placement against the support surface and a second section that extends outwardly from the first section. The second component includes a retaining element joined to the second section. The retaining element is configured to be received within the open slot formed in the first component and be securely captured within the first component by seating against the side walls and thereby mount the picture frame to the second component and space the picture frame from the support surface.

Abstract: A door assembly for a vehicle includes an outer panel configured for defining an exterior surface of the vehicle, and an inner panel matable to the outer panel to define a cavity therebetween. The inner panel includes a lower portion having a first longitudinal axis and a B-pillar assembly extending from the lower portion. The B-pillar assembly includes a casting having an external surface configured for defining the exterior surface of the vehicle, an internal surface spaced apart from the external surface, a length, and a second longitudinal axis. The casting extends from the portion along the second longitudinal axis, and the second longitudinal axis is substantially perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis.

The hinge may allow the second leg to pivot relative to the first leg so as to increase or decrease a gap between the second leg and the mounting surface, which may make it easier to position a wire on the second leg and may allow the second leg to serve as a ramp surface for the wire. The first leg includes a channel configured to receive and couple to a portion of a mounting device, e.g., by frictional engagement, which may be assisted through the use of detents on the guide. In addition, the guide may include a notch on the rear face of the first leg, the notch shaped so as to mirror or otherwise interface with at least a portion of the holder.

Abstract: A door mirror base including a base main unit for holding a vehicular door minor and a gasket disposed between the base main unit and a vehicle body. The gasket includes a hook protruding toward a vehicle body side and to be hooked onto the vehicle body. The base main unit includes a reinforcing pin passed through the gasket and protruding toward the vehicle body side of the gasket along the hook. The reinforcing pin includes a locking portion exposed on the vehicle body side of the gasket and caught by a surface of the gasket on the vehicle body side. By visually recognizing the locking portion from the vehicle body side of the gasket, it can be confirmed that the reinforcing pin is sufficiently passed through the gasket. Additionally, the locking portion makes it difficult for the reinforcing pin to be removed from the gasket.

The intermediate plate has an outer face and is smaller than the outer plate and larger than the outer plate opening. A first hanger member is secured to the outer face of the intermediate plate and extends outwardly through the opening. A second hanger member is attachable to a wall and can be joined to the first hanger member to mount the picture frame on the wall. The picture frame can be pushed up or down or rotated to adjust the picture frame position.

The clamping hooks are attachable to the retaining frame to attach the housing to the retaining frame. The spring is connected to the housing and associated with one of the clamping hooks. The actuating lever is pivotably mounted to the clamping hooks. Pivoting of the actuating lever causes the spring to compress and press the housing against the windshield when both the retaining frame is attached to the windshield and the housing is attached by the clamping hooks to the retaining frame.

Abstract: An apparatus for removably attaching dealer tags to various vehicles, comprising two or more mounting devices, each comprising a center portion with a mounting hole for mounting the device on the vehicle's tag or license mounting structure using a screw or bolt or similar mounting means. At one end of the device is a mounting post supported by a mounting post support with a ridge, protrusion, or indentation on two opposing sides. The mounting post support is flexibly attached to the center portion, and can be bent around and removably attached to the center portion by means of inserting the ridge or protrusions into corresponding holes or slots in the sides of the center portion. The other end of the device comprises a flexible arm or structure with a hole adapted to fit over the mounting post.

A surface mounting bracket configured to be attached to a mounting surface includes an engagement member and an engagement lip which are in communication with at least one engagement feature disposed on a display device bracket configured to be attached to a display device such as a flat panel television. The engagement feature, engagement lip, and engagement member are configured such that communication among these features results in an assembly that is resilient to inadvertent physical contact with the display device. The display device bracket is tiltable with respect to the surface mounting bracket, providing a defined tilt angle of the display device. Provision of a plurality of engagement features disposed on the display device bracket offers alternative assembly configurations, each capable of having defined tilt angles.

Abstract: A hanger and method for hanging is disclosed, the hanger for the purposes of hanging objects on substantially vertical surfaces such as walls, beams and posts. The hanger comprises a single-piece bracket of substantially flat suitable material. One portion of the bracket is attachable to the object to be hung using fasteners or other means and supports the weight of the object on support hardware using a concave support edge. The support edge is a tapered concave edge which may have a slotted center designed to fit typically used vertical support hardware (such as nails, screws of pegs) extending from a substantially vertical support surface such as a wall, beam or post. Another portion of the bracket extends away from the support edge and beyond the outer edge of the object to be hanged and includes a fastener opening for securing the alignment of the object relative to the vertical support using typical fasteners (such as nails or screws).

The first end is generally vertical when the base member is affixed to a fender, and the first end receives a generally horizontal fastener that passes through the first end, through two portions of the fender, and into the base member so as to fasten the base member to the fender. The side portion has a contour that generally follows a profile of the fender. The reinforcement reinforces the first end.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for attaching a mirror to a housing with a spring clip such that the spring clip applies a substantially constant force to the mirror when a fastener for attaching the spring clip to a mounting structure of the housing has an axis defining an angle with a surface of the mounting structure that is within a predetermined range of angles. An arched contact surface with an aperture for receiving the fastener is provided on the spring clip such that the fastener contacts the contact surface tangentially.

Abstract: The invention relates to a holder for holding clampingly a flat object such as a photo, greetings card or drawing, wherein the holder is adapted to be fixed clampingly to a structure, wherein the holder has a decorative appearance. The decoration serves here to obtain a more attractive appearance. Although practical, a hospital bed or hospital room is also cheerless. When a patient is sent a get-well card or photo, it is now usually arranged on a noticeboard behind the patient. The card is hereby situated outside the field of vision of the patient. According to a preferred embodiment, the holder is adapted to be fixed clampingly to a structure at the foot of a bed, in particular a hospital bed.

A picture hook is affixed to or formed integrally with the end, and a soft material, such as felt, is affixed to and lines the interior of the member. The separate picture hook may be a safety picture hook. The free end of the integral hook may be pointed or rounded. The integrally formed hook may be at an angle to the end or run parallel to it.

Abstract: The holder for two-dimensional articles includes at least two opposed, parallel slots or grooves adapted to grip the opposite edges of a thin, flexible display article (e.g., photo, business or other sign, artwork, etc.). The slots or grooves have a span therebetween slightly less than the span of the article to be held therebetween, and the bottom portions of the slots or grooves may be more widely spaced from one another than their upper edges. The level member is rotatably attached to a mounting member that is secured to a wall. The level member is additionally configured to receive a hook and hold member that is attached to a frame. The mounting member includes at least one mounting member mounting hole configured to receive a securing device for securing the mounting member to a wall. Additionally, the mounting member includes at least one mounting member tightening hole configured to receive a tightening device for adjustably securing the mounting member to a level member, wherein the tightening device does not secure the mounting member to the wall. Furthermore, the mounting member is configured to include a mounting member receiver for receiving a level member plate.

Abstract: The present invention provides, among other things, an adjustable hanging device for securing an object to a wall including a frame defining a number of substantially parallel slots and being securable to a wall, and a hook for supporting an object and being selectively moveable along each of the plurality of slots in a sliding direction to adjust an orientation of the object relative to the wall. Each of the slots can have a closed end to prevent the hook from disengaging the frame while moving in the sliding direction.

Abstract: A wall hanging mounting device for use with at least one wall support and a wall hanging having a mounting portion includes a coupling unit configured to couple the at least one wall support to a wall while the wall support is in at least close proximity to the mounting portion of the wall hanging. The coupling unit includes a drive surface that moves in a plane or about an axis between the wall hanging and the wall.

Abstract: Extenders are provided that can be mounted on the existing rearview mirror mounting hole of motorcycle handlebars to provide a new mounting hole for the rearview mirrors that is laterally spaced from the original hole. The extenders allow the stock mirrors to be positioned for greater visibility without causing undue vibration in the mirror. The extenders can be constructed with a blind hole that allows for a clean and visually appealing installation. The extenders can also be constructed with spaced apart arms that define a hole. The hole can serve to reduce wind drag, reduce construction costs or function as a place for mounting things to the motorcycle.
