An elastic member attenuates resultant forces originating at the assembly and transmitted from the secondary lift arm to the primary lift.     Abstract: A helicopter load vibration damper having an outer cylinder with closed upper and lower ends. A piston is slidably mounted within the cylinder to define a chamber between the piston and the cylinder's lower end. A rod is fixed to one side of the piston, extends through the chamber and protrudes through the lower end of the cylinder for attachment to the load. A hydraulic shock absorber is connected between the opposite side of the piston and the upper end of the cylinder. An anti-rotation mechanism prevents the shock absorber from rotating relative to the rod, around the vibration damper's longitudinal axis. The anti-rotation mechanism incorporates a tube which encircles the shock absorber, within the outer cylinder. A pin used to couple the shock absorber to the piston is also coupled to the tube.

    Abstract: A suspension device for automotive seat which is provided with a hydraulic damper and a compression coil spring wound therearound, such that the coil spring is adjusted in elastic repercussion force by way of worm gear and worm wheel so as to permit a fine adjustment of the repercussion force of the coil spring. A casing may be provided for housing the worm gear and worm wheel, and an indicator is formed on the casing. Below the casing, a scale plate having a desired plural graduation lines or marks is provided, to thereby precisely set a desired reprecussion force of the spring.

    Abstract: A rigid motorcycle frame comprises a pair of spaced swingarms attached to a shock absorber which comprises a shock absorber casing or housing pivotally mounted on the swingarms and having a shock absorber rod which is pivotally attached to the motorcycle frame at a point below the housing whereby the movement of the rear wheel of the motorcycle causes the outer housing of the shock absorber to move upwardly relative to the shock absorber, rod which is attached to the motorcycle frame and which is opposite from the normal operation of a shock absorber. The shock absorber may include a spring means and/or hydraulic means to provide the usual resistance provided by a cushioning arrangement. In operation swing arms are moving downwardly the shock absorber moves its mounting points closer together which is different from most shock absorbers which move their mounting points further apart.

A cable is connected to the piston and extends over a pulley downwardly to the electrical insulator which connects to the power line where it supports the power line above the ground. Dynamic energy from the power line is transferred upwardly through the cable to the piston and is absorbed by virtue of the compression and expansion of the air within the chambers on opposite sides of the piston.
