This system includes motor mounts within the housing which separate and absorb vibrations of the motor within the housing and a drive disk of a moderately soft material, which is firm enough to transfer torque from the motor to the roller while being soft enough to absorb vibrations which would otherwise be transmitted from the motor to the roller. An interconnect mounting the drive disk to the drive shaft of the motor is also made of a third relatively soft material, which is harder than the drive disk to more ably transmit torque but soft enough so as not to unduly transmit noise.

Then, the bracket may be mounted at a predetermined position and the motor may be mounted on the supporting plate to install the motor at a predetermined position. Specifically, an elastic member is disposed between a bracket fixed to a frame and a supporting plate is fixed to a motor and these members are integrally bonded together. The supporting plate may be fixed to the motor by bolts and the bracket may be fixed to the frame by bolts to mount the motor on the frame. The supporting plate may be replaced by a casing of the motor.

The screw bolt passes through the first penetration hole and each of the second penetration holes and then is fastened by a nut. According to the above mechanism, vibration which the compressor receives from an engine through a mounting bracket can be reduced. Therefore, durability and silentness of the compressor also can be improved.

An outer mounting plate, which has a second diameter smaller than the first diameter, serves for mounting the overall assembly in place, and has an aperture, favorably provided with a sleeve, coaxial with the output bearing. In order to provide acoustic isolation, a layer of resilient rubber is vulcanized in place between the inner and outer mounting plates. A portion of the gasket fills the annulus between the output bearing and the sleeve.
