  • Patent number: 8726468
Abstract: An apparatus according to the present invention provides a bundle tie having a strap and a tie head coupled to the strap. The tie head is adapted to engage a free end of the strap, thereby forming a loop, which may be formed or placed about one or a bundle of elongate articles such as conduit, wires, cables, ropes, and pipes, for example. The tie head is provided with a head dampener which serves to cushion what otherwise may be damaging force placed upon the one or more elongate articles by the tie head. The dampener may also serve to limit movement of the one or more elongate articles through the loop formed by the tie.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a member for guiding and supporting elongated flexible members such as wires, cables and other flexible lines that can introduce services and utilities into a residential, commercial or similar building structures. The guiding and support members receive and support at least one of the elongated flexible members so that it can be pulled around a corner without being damaged. Additionally, the guiding and support members can be used when the elongated member is only being pulled in a straight run or to organize elongated members that have already been run. Sweeps, including roller sweeps and cradles, can be secured to the guiding and supporting members to maintain a predetermined radius in the flexible members and reduce the amount of friction on the flexible member as it is pulled. This reduction in friction results in a smoother pull of the flexible member and a reduction in the amount of force needed to pull the flexible member.

  • Patent number: 8286924
Abstract: A clip has elastic locking claws at a fixing section to be inserted in a hole of a member. The fixation section (3) of the clip (1) is a hollow box-shaped block and has a rectangular or oval shape with two opposite long sides (L1, L2) and two opposite short sides (S1, S2). The locking claws (15) form a part of the associated long side. One of the locking claws (15) is provided in a diagonal direction relative to the other in the lateral cross section of the fixing section. The locking claws are connected to each other in a space (18) at the center of the fixing section by an elastic claw-connecting section (19). The claw-connecting section (19) applies to the locking claws elasticity that causes the locking claws to project outward. Thus, the elastic locking claws have increased locking force.

Abstract: A one-piece cable tie includes a locking head and an attached strap, the locking head being adapted to receive and selectively engage a portion of the strap when the tie is formed into a closed loop. The cable tie additionally includes an insert fastener formed onto the locking head that is sized and shaped to be retained within a rectangular slot formed in a panel. The insert fastener includes a pair of spaced apart, parallel arms which extend orthogonally away from an outer end wall of the locking head, a cross-member extending transversely across the free ends of the pair of arms and a pair of offset retention fingers. Each retention finger is connected at one end to the cross-member and is capable of being independently pivotally displaced along an arcuate path. As a result of the offset design of its retention fingers, the cable tie can be manufactured as a unitary plastic member using simplified and inexpensive molding techniques.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improved mounting and securing device. The device provides for attachment at least one elongate object to a surface and includes a diaphragm spring and an oval fir tree mount. The device is secured to and prevents rotation in an oval or slot shaped hole in a mounting surface. The oval fir tree mount has a tapered tip and a substantially oval shape. Fir tree branches are attached to an oval shaped trunk at various elevations or staggered heights. The diaphragm spring includes a flexible umbrella extending toward the fir tree branches. The diaphragm spring provides tension and resistance when the fir tree mount is inserted into a mount hole formed in a supporting surface such as a panel. The flexible spring combined with the staggered height branches allow the device to be securely retained in different mounting hole thicknesses. The substantially oval configuration prevents rotation.
