  • Patent number: 9884576
Abstract: A combination loading system and hose bed for a firefighting vehicle includes a platform and an actuating mechanism configured to pivot the platform between a substantially vertical stowed position, a substantially horizontal position, and a downwardly angled position. The platform includes a bottom wall and a pair of side walls extending substantially perpendicular to the bottom wall. When in the stowed position, the platform closes the substantially open rear end of the firefighting vehicle, and when in the substantially horizontal position, the platform can serve as a hose bed allowing firefighters to easily grab hose from a standing position. When in the downwardly angled position, the platform can serve as a ramp allowing the firefighters to wheel equipment on and off the vehicle. The platform may also be provided with a crane extension for lifting heavy objects.

  • Patent number: 8944389
Abstract: A flexible hose tensioning device includes a shaper roller for receiving a flexible hose. The shaper roller includes guide grooves, into which raised sections of the flexible hose engage. The shaper roller and the guide grooves are configured so that there is a form fit between the shaper roller and the flexible hose. An element that holds the flexible hose in the shaper roller and a spring coupled to the shaper roller are also provided. The spring is tensioned when the flexible hose is pulled in a corresponding direction and generates an opposing force to a flexible hose tensile force.

  • Patent number: 8074946
Abstract: A hose hanger assembly includes a tubular support, at least one mount, a flange structure, and a cover structure. The tubular support defines a first end, a second end, and a storage compartment located therebetween, the first end of the tubular support defining an access opening aligned with the storage compartment. The at least one mount is attached to the second end of the tubular support. The flange structure includes (i) an inner ring member attached in fixed relation to the first end of the tubular support, (ii) an outer ring member spaced apart from the inner ring member, and (iii) and a plurality of links interconnecting the outer ring member and the inner ring member so as to define a plurality of windows, the flange structure being configured to resemble a wheel rim flange. The cover structure is movable between (i) a first position in which the cover structure is located to cover the access opening, and (ii) a second position in which the cover structure is located to expose the access opening.

  • Patent number: 6449919
Abstract: A holder for use in building construction for holding anchor bolts, rebar, in-concrete plumbing, and the like, in predetermined positions during the pouring of concrete therearound. The holder is molded in one piece from a suitable plastic and includes an elongated base plate, the base plate having front and rear ends, opposite sides, a top surface, a bottom surface, and a hole extending through the front end of the plate from the top surface to the bottom surface; a sleeve integrally molded to the front end of the base plate in alignment with the hole and having a front, a rear, and opposite sides; and spaced reinforcing members integrally molded to one of the surfaces of the base plate, extending lengthwise thereof generally tangentially of the sleeve and having inside walls providing front ends which terminate in and are integrally molded throughout their heights to opposite sides of the sleeve in peripherally spaced relation therearound.

  • Patent number: 5735222
Abstract: Vertical suspension legs are clamped to a margin of a desk top. The suspension legs support a tray at a plurality of selectable vertical levels. There is a connection station on each vertical leg corresponding to each of the vertical levels. The tray has engagement devices for engaging the connection stations corresponding to any selected vertical level. Each connection station can be a plurality of detents which mate with a corresponding plurality of tangs projecting from a side of the tray. The plurality of tangs engaging a corresponding plurality of detents prevents rotation of the tray about the connection points. The stations can also be laterally open horizontal open slots defined by the vertical legs which mate with side rails projecting from the tray. Slidingly extending through the vertical legs are vertical shanks, the top ends of which are connected to an elongated crossbar.

  • Patent number: 5687937
Abstract: A hose organizer which includes an elongated rail which is to be horizontally mounted on a wall surface and spaced above a floor. There is to be mounted a plurality of carriers on the elongated rail. The carriers are to be low frictionally movable on the elongated rail. Each carrier includes a pair of hose connections with a separate length of hose to be connected to each hose connection. The first length of hose is to be connected to a source of air pressure. The last length of hose is to be connected to a tool with the tool to be operated by air pressure from within the hose.
