Abstract: A device for holding open and facilitating the filling of a trash bag with leaves, grass, debris or the like is provided. The device is comprised of a frame including a top wall, a bottom wall and at least one set of opposite side walls, and further including entry and exit ends having a hollow interior area extending therebetween. The sidewalls are provided with holes therethrough proximate entry end, the holes having corresponding slits. The frame is configured to receive on its exit end a specially configured trash bag having two knots tied within the opening edge of the bag. The bag is placed upon the exterior of the exit end of the frame and pulled toward entry end so that the knots of the bag line up with the holes in the sidewalls.

Abstract: A size-adjustable detachable portable garbage bag rack for holding a garbage bag to collect garbage is constructed to include an adjustable top frame unit formed of four main frame bars and four auxiliary frame bars, an adjustable bottom frame unit formed of four main frame bars and four auxiliary frame bars, and a support frame unit formed of four detachable support frame bars selectively connected between the top frame unit and the bottom frame unit subject to the set size of the top frame unit and the bottom frame unit.

Abstract: A refuse bag holder comprising a pair of relatively moveable bag-supporting members that expand to spread the open end of a refuse bag and hold it open and taut, and retract toward each other to release the filled bag. The bag holder a frame has a pair of tubular members of inverted U-shape in the upright position of the frame. The bight portions of the U-shaped frame members can be moved toward and away from each other, and serve as bag-top supporting members for the material surrounding the open end of a plastic refuse bag. The open end of an empty refuse bag is pulled upwardly between the bight portions, and then draped loosely over them while they are close enough together so that the plastic bag material is slack. The bight portions can then be expanded to spread the bag top and hold it open for receiving refuse. In the case of paper bags, the bag-supporting members also include removable tension members, in the form of flat, elongated blades of resilient material, that project from the bight portions.

Abstract: A new ultra light weight, spring action, stand system for supporting a golf bag is provided. According to one aspect of the present invention, the stand system includes a top bracket, a pair of legs, a guide, a wire form, and a footplate. The top bracket is configured for coupling to a top portion of a golf bag. The pair of legs may be pivotably coupled to the top bracket. The guide is for coupling to a bottom portion of the golf bag to restrain lateral movement of the wire form, for example. The wire form is slidably coupled through the guide and engages the legs. The actuation of the wire form moves the legs from a retracted position to an extended position. Finally, the footplate is pivotably mounted to the wire form and is positioned to have a contact point with the ground for actuating the wire form that is behind the plane of the legs.

Abstract: A rigid yard refuse bag liner for insertion into a yard refuse bag for supporting the yard refuse bag in an open condition. The rigid yard refuse bag liner is an elongated enclosure having an open bottom and having a tapered construction such that its bottom portion is wider than its top portion, which facilitates the removal of the rigid liner once the refuse bag liner/refuse bag are filled with yard refuse. To further facilitate this removal, air vents running through the enclosure permit the passage of air as the rigid liner is lifted upward, out of the yard bag. A compactor is associated with the rigid liner whereby the compactor is a planar surface coupled to a handle that the user can grasp and apply pressure to in order to compact the yard refuse that has already been collected.

Abstract: A versatile frame to facilitate the holding open of a plastic bag. The invention facilitates a single individual in emptying food and liquids into a plastic or other flexible bag without spilling its contents. The device takes the shape of a topless barrel truncated along a vertical plane through each of two opposite sides of the barrel. The bottom is horizontally extendable and the walls are vertically extendable, each having multiple locking positions. The device can be disassembled and stored in a substantially L-shaped arrangement for economy of space. The present invention can accommodate bags having various volumes. The device also features a stand, including a plurality of rubber feet to improve traction, as well as upper rims capped with a rubbery material to facilitate the grip on the opening circumference of a plastic bag. Other embodiments include a bookcase shaped device with adjustable height sides.

Abstract: A collapsible, yard bag insert is disclosed, designed to allow a user to easily empty lawn mower bag clippings into traditional paper yard refuse bags. The collapsible, yard bag insert comprises a sturdy open-top, open-bottom plastic insert, designed to be placed inside of the yard refuse bag. Hand holes are molded into it to allow one to carry it. The collapsible, yard bag insert is collapsible in design, so as to facilitate ease of insertion and removal from the refuse bag.

Abstract: A bag holder used to stabilize a plurality of grocery and retail bags during transport in a vehicle. The invention has a plurality of hangers. The hangers provide a releasable means to hold the bag handles. The function of the present invention is to hold together the handles of these bags which in turn prevents the contents of the bags from being spilled. The hanger element is designed in an elongated inverted “U” shape with a “lollipop” shaped end. The plurality of hangers form a rack. This rack of hangers is pivotally attached with a hinge to base members which support the apparatus and provide an upright support for the hangers. The base members when spread apart grip the rack and hold it in a vertical manner. A folding tab on one of the base members keeps the base members in the spread open position. In this open position the grocery bag handles are placed over the hangers and held securely in place.

Abstract: This portable device is for holding and supporting a flexible waste collection bag in an open condition. The device has a frame consisting of two parallel side bars having a handle at one end and the free ends of the side bars are mounted to a lower supporting platform bar. A slider bar is slidably mounted on the side bars and located between the handle and the lower supporting platform bar. Both the slider bar and the supporting platform bar have a horizontal U-shaped channel. A flexible waste collection bag can be mounted to the device by wrapping two opposite sides of the lip portion of the bag on two securement bars and inserting the wrapped securement bars into the U-shaped channels in the slider bar and the supporting platform bar to secure the bag to the device. The slider is pushed upwards to maintain the bag in an open condition. Bags of a variety of different sizes may be mounted to the device by adjusting the position of the slider bar.

Abstract: An apparatus to hold open for loading a limp plastic bag, such as a grocery bag used as a trash receptacle, includes a generally rectangular and horizontal base, four upstanding legs each attached to a corner of the base, and two generally horizontal handle engaging members each spanning between the top ends of two adjacent legs. The handle engaging members protrude through the bag handles to support the bag in an open manner over the base. The handle engaging members have angled surfaces to fully extend the opening on a variety of different sized bags. The base has a recessed central portion for containing any liquids spilled from the bag.

Abstract: The disclosed bulk bag storage rack facilitates both storage and unloading of a bulk bag and thereby eliminates the standard handling techniques heretofore required in transferring a bulk bag from a conventional rack to the bag unloader. The storage rack includes a bag suspension frame to which the bulk bag is attached. A base is shiftably intercoupled with the frame so as to permit vertical shifting between vertically expanded and contracted conditions. During storage, the rack is vertically contracted and the bag attached to the frame rests on the base, whereby the frame provides essentially no support to the bag. When it is desired to unload the bag, the frame is maintained at a desired height and the base is allowed to shift downwardly relative the frame. This eliminates the support provided by the base and the bag is consequently suspended from the frame. Abstract: A portable and adjustable bag holder having an adjustable frame, a plurality of legs perpendicularly attached to the frame and a plurality of feet slidably adjustable within the legs. The frame has two U-shaped arms, each of which has two free ends. One of the arms is hollow at the free ends to accept the other arm so that the other arm can telescopingly slide within the first arm's cavity. The first arm has a knob acting as a detent and located within the cavity. The second arm has a plurality of notches which engage the knob as the second arm slidably moves within the first arm. The engagement of the knob and notch keeps the two arms temporarily fixed in place. In an alternative embodiment, the ends of the two arms are made removable and replaceable in order to expand or contract the range of adjustment of the frame to accommodate bags having circumferences which vary greatly. The bag holder also adjusts in height to accommodate bags of various heights.

Abstract: This Invention provides a stable stand-alone apparatus to hold and/or transport plastic shopping bags that are being reused as refuse containers. A shallow pan is formed as the base of this apparatus. The shallow base pan is complemented by two opposing sides each of which rises at a slight outward angle to two shoulders and a tapered neck. The opposing pliable handles of the plastic shopping bag are placed about the tapered necks and retained at these positions. This holds the pliable plastic shopping bag with its opening at shoulder level. The tapered necks each have an elongated hole to provide hand holds. This allows the user clean, safe and easy hand carry of refuse in the "The Plastic Bag Caddy" from an under sink cabinet or closet to another depository. The front and back areas above the shallow base pan are open. This allows expansion of the plastic bag as it is filled.

A pivoting sandbag tray is under the top section and pivotally engages each side support. A rotating arm also pivotally engages each side support. With the rotating arm aligned in the vertical plane (up position), the sand tray is held roughly parallel to the ground on which the two side supports rest. When the rotating arm is pushed toward the sand tray pivot points, the sand tray will tilt. With the sand tray tilted at an angle any sandbag resting on the sand tray will tend to slide toward the low side of the tray for easy removal.

The apparatus includes a shield having an upper shield opening and a lower shield opening, and a base that is constructed so that it may be secured, in a releasable fashion, to the lower shield opening. The shield separates the bag from compacted waste. The base cooperates with the shield to support the bag and its contents. The shield is placed almost entirely into the bag, the lower opening of the shield being secured to the base at an interface. Compacted waste rests on the bottom of the bag, which may be supported by the base. When the bag has become filled with waste, the shield is removed.

A garbage bag is inserted inside the upper hoop and supported by the garbage bag support stand with its open end facing upwardly. Abstract: A stiffener apparatus, including first and second stiffener body sections, each stiffener section is formed as an open, octagonally shaped structure, and is provided with geometrically shaped channel that facilitate mechanically mating of one section with the other, i.e. a quasi-congruent, multi-planar surface,-snap-ring type construction, that effects a reliable compression of flexible material disposed between the two mating stiffener body sections. The open, octagonally, shaped stiffener sections are especially sized for fitting an opening of a flexible trash bag container. In use, the geometrically shaped mating channels compress the outer edges of the trash bag's opening material between multi-planar surfaces that greatly improves the compression fit in keeping the trash bag opening in an opened state, especially in heavily loaded trash bag conditions. Each one of the stiffener sections, is provided with a scoop-like edge member for channelling material into the trash bag.

A bag retaining assembly attached to the easel frame is adapted for a bag, e.g., a plastic garbage bag, to fit thereover with a apertured splatter panel covering the mouth of the bag. A beater bar inside the bag frame permits the artist to beat the paintbrush on the beater bar while the bag traps the solvent inside. The easel also is adjustable in height, and has provision for a tray, a paper towel holder, and a container holder (e.g., for solvent). Provision for holding the bag in place is provided also.

The base, standard and support may be disassembled into a compact form. The support is removable from the standard and includes a handle by which a user may exert control. This configuration protects the mouth of the bag from coarse debris entering therein and from lawn and garden implements used to fill the bag. A portion of the support which contacts the ground is structured aid configured to conform to the surface of the ground when downward pressure is exerted against the support. The support comprises a cylindrical peripheral wall which is expandable and contractible to engage and disengage the inner surface of the mouth of a plastic bag.

The liner (22) and base (24) are connected to the support structure (26) for storage. The components are packaged as a kit with adhesive so a purchaser can assemble the components.

Abstract: Disposable covers for tray jacks and waste containers. These covers have an aesthetically pleasing segment which conceals the tray jack or container and a second, integral segment. In tray jack applications of the invention, the integral segment provides a receptacle for trash and other wastes. And, in container applications of the invention, the second, integral segment provides an inner liner for the container.

Abstract: A holding and raking apparatus designed to facilitate a one person operation for bagging leaves into a held open bag. The holding apparatus stores flat when not in use in order to minimize storage space. Rigid frame sides and conformable top and bottom frame rails allows the frame to be bowed temporarily into essentially a hollow semi-cylindrical shape which is held in that bowed condition by a retaining or securing strap. The lawn clipping and leaf system is further complemented by specially designed scissors-type rake. These raketongs are attached at a pivot point by a clamp or similar fastening apparatus. The raketongs pick leaves up and place them in a vertically positioned bag held in the frame by a natural spring tension at the open top of the frame. In a horizontal position on the ground the taut end of the open bag acts as a dust pan rail for easy collection of leaves and the like.

Abstract: A frame for holding a sandbag for facilitating the filling of a sandbag by one person. The frame has a generally rectangular support member which is held at an angle to the ground so that the top of the opening is higher than the bottom of the opening. The open end of a sandbag is inserted through the support member and folded back over it. Then sand can be easily shoveled into the open end of the sandbag preferably by resting the shovel on the bottom of the generally rectangular support member and merely lifting the handle. When the sandbag is full the top is removed from the generally rectangular support member and tied in a conventional manner and another bag is placed through the opening for filling.

Abstract: A support structure, primarily for a trash or lawn bag is characterized by two identical bracing supports that are positioned to support the bag when staked into the ground. The bracing supports include a lower leg and an upper leg. Each leg is formed with a specific cross-sectional shape that allows the nesting and close coupling of the lower leg to the upper leg. An elbow or right angle member is releasably attached to the lower leg to fix the depth of the lower leg within the ground and trap the bag between the ground and the elbow member. Slidably received over the upper leg is a retainer clip having a right angle support and an opening having the same outer configuration as the cross-sectional shape of the legs such that the retainer clip may freely slide along the length of the upper leg member.

Abstract: A holder for collapsible bags, especially plastic bags. The holder includes a base and a support structure that extends generally upwardly from the base and has an upper portion distal the base. The holder further includes a pair of opposed mounts that each are connected to the upper portion of the support structure and are each configured to capture a respective one of the bag's straps. Each mount includes a lower surface for supporting a respective one of the bag's straps in a raised position above the base and an upper surface disposed above the lower surface for selectively retaining the strap within the corresponding mount and preventing the unintentional removal of that strap from the mount. Abstract: An apparatus is provided for use in the cleaning of a plastic bag. The apparatus comprises a base structure which contains an opening for allowing fluid to pass therethrough. A bag support structure extends from the base structure, and is configured to support a plastic bag in such an orientation that the opening of the bag is in fluid communication with the opening of the base structure. The bag support structure is also configured to keep the opening of the bag open to permit a flow of fluid into and out of the bag. Clips or other retaining devices are also included for retaining the plastic bag on the support structure. In operation, fluid is permitted to pass through the base structure and flow into the plastic bag, and then flow back out of the bag and pass back through the base structure.
