Including Non-molding Means Engaging Internal Portion Of Core To Retain Core Spaced Throughout Its Length Patents (Class 249/146)
  • Patent number: 9556627
Abstract: Embodiments of the Concrete Form include a form tube, chamfer disk, and one or more form cross-members. The form cross-members are comprised of a center pivot, two bolt guides, which are formed by the cross-members, and an optional clamp. The chamfer disk is a disk that sits atop of the form tube and forms side chamfers when placed upon the form tube when the concrete cures. The chamfer disk is a separate formed or molded piece that will sit on top of the tube form in order to form a chamfer in the concrete. The chanfer disk is a ring-shaped device with the chamfer formed in positive relief under the ring of the chamfer disk. The optional clamp can be used to hold any conduit, tube or any other item during the pour.

  • Patent number: 7988123
Abstract: A compactable mold comprises a main mold frame structure and plural wall structures including two end wall structures and two side wall structures. The plural wall structures define a mold cavity for forming a block from a mixture introduced into the mold cavity. At least two of the plural wall structures are movable wall structures for compacting the mixture. A described compactable mold has end walls and side walls that are shaped for forming tongue and groove features on a compacted block, and the end walls and side walls are movable such that a formed block can be released easily from the mold. A described compactable mold comprises at least one tube attached to at least one of the compacting wall structures. The compacting wall structures are operable to compact the mixture by moving toward the center of the mold cavity while the at least one tube remains stationary.

  • Patent number: 7832703
Abstract: At the filling station of a dry cast pipe making machine for making pipe lined with a plastic liner, the liner is first placed over the core and then a plurality of spaced-apart, removable L-shaped plates are secured around the top edge of the core. One leg of each plate extends inside the core with the other leg extending downwardly over the top edge of the liner. The plates are removably held in place on the core by the use of a clamping device, such as a vise-grip, for example. Once the form is filled with concrete and ready for the pressure heading step, the downwardly extending legs of the plates serve as ‘shoehorns’ to guide the pressure header over the top of the liner and prevent damage to it. In addition, the plates will assist in centering the core within the jacket.

A side of the liner which includes the provisions has a plurality of raised hollow projections with spaced sections. The mechanical lock is created when concrete is poured against the side of the liner with the projections. • Patent number: 5290006
Abstract: A lightweight metal or plastic form that when collapsed can be installed on the inside of a temporarily suspended manhole casting and expanded by a mechanism having numerous arms connected at a center point and extending outwardly to spaced and positioned spring encasing brackets that compensate and adjust slightly the pressure that the arms project to the outer walls of a slotted circular shaped form. By a cam effect the handle locks into a over center position that is maintained without the aid of clamps or additional hardware so that the form will stay in position until the user lifts the handle upwardly which removes the device from the manhole and at the same time collapses the form. The inventions primary purpose is to provide a seal between a temporarily blocked up manhole metal casting and the manhole precast concrete riser rings so that cement may be applied around the outside of the manhole and vibrated into position without danger of any cement contaminating or plugging the sewer system.

  • Patent number: 4938909
Abstract: A method of making a molded plastic component of an internal combustion engine. The method is for making a fuel rail and includes constructing particular core pins of the mold with threaded connections that form seals between them when they are disposed in proper position within the mold cavity for the molding of a fuel rail. The core pins serve to form a main fuel passage and auxiliary fuel passages which transversely intersect the main fuel passage. Each core pin that forms an auxiliary fuel passage includes a screw thread on its inner end that threads into a corresponding complementary threaded recess in the side of the core pin that forms the main fuel passage to create a corresponding seal. This sealing prevents any significant flash from forming in the fuel rail at the intersection of each auxiliary fuel passage with the main fuel passage. After the plastic has been molded, the core pins are unthreaded and withdrawn.

Abstract: A structural component having a curved wall, such as an aircraft fuselage pipe, has a grid structure formed of box frames produced by winding tapes of fiber reinforced synthetic material, so-called prepregs, onto mold bodies. These mold bodies are then assembled on a mandrel for covering with a planking and curing whereby the tapes are bonded together to form stringers intersecting with ribs in a grid structure and whereby the planking is bonded to the grid structure. The ribs are reinforced by fiber reinforced belt segments of synthetic material inserted into gaps between adjacent short ends of the mold bodies, whereby these belt segments are bonded to the ribs during curing. The belt segments ave a width corresponding to a multiple of the width of the stringers and hence protrude radially inwardly. Preferably, an edge reinforcing strip of fiber reinforced material is arranged alongside the radially inner edge of the belt segments.

The biconical socket is formed by a two piece mandrel assembly (20, 21), each mandrel member having a frustoconical end (22, 23). The frustoconical ends of the mandrel members are abutted and aligned by means of a coaxially extending pin (24) in one member which engages a hole (25) in the second member.
