Hinged Sections Patents (Class 249/185)
  • Patent number: 4177032
Abstract: A molding core, consisting of a plurality of flexible metal plates, for the manufacture of cylindrical hollow bodies or wound sections of fiber-reinforced synthetic resin. The metal plates are fixed to support members which in turn are connected to frames. To release the hollow bodies or wound sections, two diametrically opposed metal plates can be tilted inward and the frames can be moved toward one another by means of a common drive. It is possible to assemble a plurality of hollow bodies or wound sections to form vessels of large volume.

  • Patent number: 4055321
Abstract: An inside articulated and collapsible form adapted for use in the formation of a rectangular concrete corewall and having at its corners novel three-way hinge assemblies including main hinge leaves which are movable between right angular positions wherein the four form sides with which they are associated assume extended positions wherein their panel facings conform to the outline of the inside face of the corewall to be formed by pouring wet concrete around the form, and acute angle positions wherein such form sides assume collapsed positions which are inwardly removed from such outline while the hinge leaves constitute rub rails which guide the collapsed form axially along and within the surrounding hardened concrete corewall during removal of the form the formed corewall.

  • Patent number: 4047287
Abstract: A method for forming a high frequency antenna such as a horn-reflector antenna. In fabricating the horn antenna a mold may be used which comprises a paraboloid-cylindrical section and a pair of half cone shells for forming respectively the paraboloid-cylindrical portion and the cone portion of the antenna. In assembling the mold, the shells are secured together and then the cylindrical section is fastened to the assembled shells. After the antenna has been formed, the mold is disassembled by first removing the paraboloid-cylindrical section, thereafter removing one of the shells and then the remaining shell; and all such mold parts being removed via the radiating aperture of the paraboloid-cylindrical portion of the antenna.
