    Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanical energized sealing ball valve comprising a seat, a ball assembly, and a single valve stem that operates both the sealing member and the ball. The ball comprises a ball and a sealing member. The valve stem drives the ball to rotate between open position and close position. When the ball reaches the close position, the sealing member, operated by the same valve stem, moves away from the ball to press and sit against the seat. The invention has the advantages that: the valve has a compact structure, the friction-free on/off is achieved, the mechanical energized sealing force is even and reliable, the ball is retracted and locked in the opening position to protect against turbulence-induced damage, low operating torque, the open/close operation is rapid, and the valve stem seal operates simply and reliably.

    Abstract: A gear meshing with a pinion controls the angle of rotation of a valve element which is brought into sliding contact with a valve seat, thereby controlling the opening and closing of a communicating hole of outflow pipe. During welding the valve seat plate and a housing, a hook portion of an upper portion of the gear is retained by a retaining portion to cause the valve element to be spaced apart from the valve seat. After natural cooling, the pinion is remotely operated by an electric motor to rotate the gear, thereby canceling the holding. A resilient arm causes the gear to be disengaged from the retaining portion by its urging force, brings the valve element into pressure contact with the valve seat, and allows the opening/closing operation to function smoothly.

An inner valve assembly is located within an internal cavity which is actuated by a shaft which extends from the internal cavity to a point external from the valve housing.     Abstract: Valve such as a ball valve with a metal seat ring assembly comprising an outer ring seated in the valve body and an inner ring seated in the outer ring. The outer ring is formed with a lip projecting inwardly and presenting a sealing surface for contact with the valve closure member. The inner ring is formed with a lip behind which is an annular groove which permits flexing of such lip. The inner ring is seated within the outer ring. There is a small clearance between the lip and the outer ring which causes sealing between the closure member and the inner ring following by sealing between the closure member and the outer ring. The configuration and clearances of such lips is such that in initial closing the valve closure member contacts the lip of the inner ring causing it to flex and on final closing it contacts the lip of the outer ring causing it to flex.

A seal is interposed between the seal-receiving portion of the plug and at least a portion of the seal retainer assembly to form a seal.

Additionally, the present butterfly valve employs a self-centering throttle plate adapted to float within the valve central bore.     Abstract: A magnetic-controlled valve for fluid pipelines. The valve comprises a sealed guide bushing accommodating an external magnetic ring movable along the outer wall thereof and an internal magnetic plug-stopper movable longitudinally therein. A valve body accommodates one or more stages of a valve plunger, and the internal magnetic plug-stopper is aligned and engaged with the plunger. Lifting the external magnetic ring will lift the internal magnetic plug-stopper through a magnetic force, thus lifting the plunger to open the fluid passage of the valve body. This forms a magnetic-controlled stop valve. In an alternate configuration, an external magnetic ring is rotated to rotate the internal magnetic ring (blocks) to bring a butterfly type valve plate into rotary motion through a connecting rod. The rod is provided with a stopper element connected to the internal magnetic ring, thus forming a magnetic-controlled butterfly valve.

    Abstract: A new and improved valve apparatus and method of operating same that moves a flow closure assembly between open and closed positions with a minimum of frictional resistance while effecting a forcible engagement with both upstream and downstream valve seats when in the closed position. The preferred ball-type flow closure assembly is formed of two pivoted sections that are forcibly moved axially or tilted to sealingly engage the longitudinally spaced valve seats to provide upstream and downstream sealing by the valve in moving between an intermediate position and the closed position. The opening to closing movement is effected by rotating the valve actuator stem through an arc slightly greater than a quarter turn to provide a fast response operation. The valve actuator further includes a two part guide means which effects tilting of the ball sections only after or before rotational movement to insure that the ball is released from sealing engagement with both seats by only axial movement.

    Abstract: A dual-action ball valve having a sleeve fixedly mounted within the valve bonnet. Spiral slots are provided in the sleeve for receiving a transverse guide pin mounted in the valve stem. The lower end of the valve stem is provided with sloping cam surfaces cooperating with tapered side walls provided in an apertured insert mounted in the top wall of the ball valve through which the stem extends. A pair of upwardly extending arcuate members are formed on the insert and engage the lower end of the valve bonnet bushing to provide a trunnion for the ball valve. The components of the dual-action ball valve provide increased bearing surfaces to facilitate use of the valve in high pressure systems.
