Sleeve Removably In Bonnet Patents (Class 251/222)
  • Patent number: 11920572
Abstract: Fluid flow control valve comprising a tubular body extending in a longitudinal direction with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet situated respectively at the two longitudinal ends of the body, the valve comprising a nozzle and a piston connected to the body, the piston being housed in the body, the nozzle being made up of a part provided with a fluid passage having a calibrated dimension, the passage emerging at one end of the nozzle and forming a seat, said seat being situated against a terminal end of the piston forming a shutter preventing the flow of fluid in the closed position of the valve, the piston comprising a body defining a passage for the fluid in the body for the flow of the fluid between the inlet and the outlet, the body of the valve consisting of a material having a different expansion coefficient from the piston or the nozzle, the valve comprising a heating member which, depending on the heating power delivered, makes it possible to separate the end of the nozzle and the piston by differential

  • Patent number: 4995421
Abstract: A lock-out valve is designed to direct pressure fluid to an operational port and system, and to exhaust such pressure for purposes of repair or reconstruction of a valve controlled system. The valve may be quickly moved to the exhaust phase by a manual stroke overriding threads between two concentric parts. However, reverse motion of the valve to re-establish pressure to the operational port can only be accomplished by a turning action on the manual actuator. This insures a slow return of pressure to the system and a slow start up so that the controlled system can be safely and properly reset. The thread design is such that the motion in one direction will override the threads but prevent reverse action except by turning.

  • Patent number: 4601304
Abstract: A valve assembly for providing easy and rapid removal of the valve packing means while the valve is in service, closed, or out of service, which assembly includes a valve body, a bonnet connected to the body, a packing housing assembly means secured to the bonnet, a packing gland mounted on the packing means assembly, a valve stem movably secured in the valve assembly and having a closure member adapted to seat selectively in a valve closure seat in the valve body or, in the back seat condition, in a valve closure seat in the bonnet. The valve stem is threaded at its lower end adjacent the closure means for engagment with matching threads secured in the bonnet. The packing assembly means includes a stuffing box or packing cartridge that is readily detachable from the bonnet to permit removal of the packing material while the valve is in service, closed, or out of service, without damage to the stem or interior surfaces of the packing means assembly.
