The seal material is applied to the carrier component such that a defined profile of the seal material is provided on the outer carrier region and a part of the seal material extends at least into a part of the depressions of the carrier component and fills them at least halfway.

    Abstract: A media control valve includes a body, a plunger assembly of multiple components housed in the body with a plunger control valve cap assembly secured to the body for housing a control knob. The body and the plunger assembly include resilient seals between adjacent multiple components of the body and the plunger assembly, respectively, to permit relative movement therebetween. A diaphragm physically isolates and seals the chambers above and below. All of the plunger seals and bushings held within the sleeve. Replacement seals and bushings can be replaced and inspected with relative ease due to the accessibility at both ends of the sleeve. Component parts are assembled using resilient seals to facilitate assembly and repair.

    Abstract: A beverage dispenser has a container for beverage fluid that has a flat bottom that is above a space large enough to place a glass or cup. The container has a sidewall and a top edge of an open container that has a removable lid. A pair of actuator guards are on either side of a space near but below the top edge of the container where an actuator is located that projects through a notch in the top edge, plunging downwardly inside the inner wall of the container sidewall and jutting straight out to form a fork. This fork selectively holds a plunger that has a long shaft and plug that fits into a hole in the bottom wall of the container. This hole and plug form a valve. The valve can be opened when the actuator is depressed between the actuator guards towards the container's sidewall, which pivots the fork upwardly which in turn lifts the plunger and plug to open the valve for dispensation.

    Abstract: A media control valve has a valve body having a media inlet and a media outlet and a plunger which is positioned within the valve body. The plunger is connected to a metering control assembly in the bore of the valve body and can be removed without disturbing the control assembly. A sleeve is positioned in the valve body between the valve body and the plunger. The sleeve includes an integral seal for sealing the valve to a flow device such as a base.     Abstract: A puck retaining recess in a plunger of a solenoid valve is formed with a puck retaining lip that is fixed or unified with the plunger. The puck is then radially compressed to fit through a central opening of the retainer lip, and once the puck is pushed past the retainer lip, it is allowed to radially expand within the recess where the puck is retained between a bottom of the recess and the retainer lip. This eliminates many problems that previously occurred with separable retainer lips pressed into position to hold a puck after its insertion into a plunger recess.
