    Abstract: The disclosure relates to the technical field of automobile maintenance and repair as well as device calibration, and in particular, to a bracket apparatus. The bracket apparatus includes a base, a vertical rod and a clamping assembly. One end of the vertical rod is mounted to the base. The clamping assembly is mounted to the vertical rod. The clamping assembly includes a sliding member, a push rod assembly, a handle and an elastic member. One end of the sliding member is sleeved on the vertical rod. The sliding member is movable along the vertical rod. An other end of the sliding member is configured to carry a calibration element. The push rod assembly can be movably mounted to the sliding member in a preset direction. Two ends of the elastic member respectively abut against an inner wall of the sliding member and the push rod assembly. The elastic member can drive one end of the push rod assembly to be tightly pressed against the vertical rod.

    Abstract: A dual ratchet pawl jacking system, device, and method are presented for raising and/or lowering a platform bearing carriage along a vertical support. The ratchet pawls alternate supporting the weight of the carriage by engaging against a series of lugs on the vertical support. A first pawl is attached to the main frame of the carriage, and a second pawl is attached to a sub-carriage assembly that slides upward and downward within the carriage frame. A hydraulic jack applies a force upon the sub-carriage, causing the sub-carriage to move within the frame. The weight of the carriage is alternately borne by each pawl as the other pawl is relocated to a new lug. A pair of triggers is used to retract the first pawl and second pawl from the support. The triggers may be enabled to facilitate lowering the carriage, or disabled to facilitate raising the carriage.

The device is manually powered in the manner of a jack to push out the damaged board pieces, which are still hingedly attached by the cardboard facing. Thus united, the cracks are bonded while the inexpensive device is left in the wall, acting as a permanent prop. Remnants of the device remaining outside of the wall are broken off and the hole is filled.

    Abstract: A lifting device and method of using the device is disclosed. The device and method may be used to stock a structure such as a high-rise building under construction or an off-shore gas or oil drilling rig. The device in the preferred embodiment contains a pair of booms carried by a pair of boom carriages which are pivoted on a frame attached to the outside of the structure. The booms are capable of moving transversely on the frame and longitudinally within the boom carriages. A trolley and disappearing cargo block are positioned in the booms. Self-climbing features may also be incorporated in the device for stocking several elevations of the structure. The novel device also allows longer cargo to be lifted and turned approximately 90.degree. and moved into the structure. The device may also be installed permanently on the structure and positioned in a non-operative vertical position and pivoted to an operative horizontal position.
