Patent number: 7108249Abstract: High fence supports can be expensive, difficult to ship, and awkward to install. Often, and particularly for the control of deer, it is desirable to increase the height of existing fence that uses steel T-posts for support. The T-post extender combined with a steel T-post becomes a high fence support useful for supporting high fence. A T-post extender consists of a longitudinal element, typically a length of steel rebar, and a stop element, typically a washer welded to the longitudinal element at a selected location along its length. For existing T-post fence supports, the T-post extender is slipped into place alongside the top of the T-post where it is captured laterally by existing wire ties and vertically by the stop element resting against the top of the T-post under the force of gravity. This arrangement has cost, installation, and shipping advantages both in new high fence construction and in the case where the height of existing T-post supported fence must be increased.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2004Date of Patent: September 19, 2006Inventor: Friend K. Publication number: 20040188664Abstract: A barricade contains at least one extendable beam. The beams are movable between a non-extended position in which they substantially rest within the footprint of a barricade frame and an extended position in which they extend away from the barricade frame. The beams may contain connecting mechanism which enable the beams of like barricades to be connected, thereby creating a longer barricade.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2003Publication date: September 30, 2004Applicant: Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLCInventors: Thomas Perelli, Robert W. Publication number: 20040173785Abstract: A partitioning device, including a center panel and at least one side panel, e.g., a left side panel and a right side panel, each side panel optionally folded onto the center panel in an overlaying relationship during use or storage. Each side panel may be folded away from the center panel during use if needed. Each center and side panel may include a stiffening member attached proximate upper and lower edges thereof. Straps may be attached to the center panel to affix the present partitioning device during use and additional straps may be attached to each of the side panels. Connectors may be attached to the straps. The center and at least one side panel may be reversibly configured in a folded, overlaying relationship. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2003Publication date: September 9, 2004Inventor: John Joseph Russo

Publication number: 20040164284Abstract: A post cover with advertising for use with a substantially semi-circular guard post of the type commonly found surrounding fuel pumps at gasoline stations. The post cover has a substantially semi-circular shape with an interior cavity dimensioned to receive a generally semi-circular guard post in slip fit engagement. The cover is generally molded of a resilient, durable, low maintenance and exposure resistant structural plastic that can be treated during the molding process with coloring agents and chemical additives to enhance its esthetic and resiliency character respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2004Publication date: August 26, 2004Inventor: Frank Venegas

Publication number: 20040149975Abstract: A barrier system utilizing cutters that have been connected into strips, with the strips connected to form a substantially planar barrier sheet. The barrier sheet may be encased by breakable separators, which cover the cutters to prevent inadvertent injury but expose the cutters when broken upon an attempt to penetrate the barrier. The barrier may be retracted into an opening, preferably into a concealed compartment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2003Publication date: August 5, 2004Inventors: Renne Cano, Steven John Cano

Publication number: 20040135132Abstract: A flexible member used as a rope in a mesh has an outer sheathing which is easy to touch and an inner core which is shrinkable so that when used in a mesh which is suspended on a frame, it pulls the frame tautly by the shrinkage of the inner cords. Also, a connection between a support member and a border can be effected using one way mechanical fasteners. Shrink nets can be further used on a frame without sheathing with a twisted cord.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2003Publication date: July 15, 2004Inventor: John Rexroad

Patent number: 6758627Abstract: The guard rail support attachment and positioning block or spacer block is used to space guard railing away from posts such as “I” beams which are driven into the ground. The spacer block keeps automobile wheels from impacting the I beams and initiating a roll of the vehicle. The spacer block is a generally rectangular block or cube including corded-out cavities to reduce weight and tabs or projections which cooperatively engage the side of the post and the edge of the guard rail to position and hold same in position for attachment with holding members such as bolts. Webbing can be used to provide structural support within the cavity. The spacer block may be formed by low pressure injection molding to form a structural foam spacer block to optimize the strength to weight characteristics of the spacer block.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2001Date of Patent: July 6, 2004Assignee: K.E.S.S. Inc.Inventor: David T. King
