Abstract: A security attachment comprising a channel iron having imbedded or attached protruding and slightly angled vertical spokes attached to the outer top surface of said channel iron. The security attachment is used in conjunction with, preferably, a chain link fence to present a formidable barrier to potential intruders and also display a visually pleasing symmetrical arrangement along the top of the fence. The channel iron of the security attachment comprises an inverted u-shaped cross section, thereby providing a means for securely attaching the interior of the channel iron onto the top rail of a chain link, or similar fence. The device provides a substantial measure of additional fence security.

Abstract: A unique safety rail system with integrated hand-grip projections, structures for affixing the system for the safe and easy egress and ingress through an opening, such as roof or floor access holes. The safety rail system is designed to reduce the risk of falls while ascending or descending a ladder through an access hole while providing additional protection and prevention of personnel accidentally falling through an open access. A self-closing gravity gate may be provided acting as additional hand-grip, support, and barrier. This system may employ methods of construction and assembly using a unique continuous tubular structure of converging vertical and angular upright post with horizontal upper safety rail, forward protruding hand-grip and opposing directionally horizontal lower attachment support means reducing lateral motion and allows efficient installation for new construction or retro fitting of existing openings.

Abstract: This invention provides a safety fence which can easily be installed in parking spaces, and which enables wiring to be laid to each parking space by housing the wiring on the inside. The safety fence has two legs and a cylindrical section. The two legs are inserted in two holes formed in the ground in the width direction of a vehicle. The cylindrical section is formed in a substantially upside-down U-shape, the two ends of which are connected to the two legs. The cylindrical section houses the wiring on the inside. Two openings that expose the wiring to the outside are formed on both sides of the cylindrical section in the vehicle width direction.

Abstract: A modular, temporary safety railing system that provides fall restraint protection during masonry wall construction projects includes a plurality of anchoring sleeves which are embedded in wet grout within a hollow cavity of a masonry block onto which posts and rail sections are assembled. The embedded pins receive and secure respective vertical posts via interconnecting locking pins comprising spring pin fasteners. A plurality of top and intermediate rail sections are attached to the vertical posts using connecting hardware designed to adjustable position said rail sections at an offset distance allowing additional courses of block to be added to the wall without interference from said railing system. As construction continues, the vertical posts are detached from the embedded sleeves and reused with newly installed sleeves.

  • Patent number: 8615964
Abstract: An improved mounting structure for the posts of hand rail systems including a mounting arm member positioned within a sleeve monolithically formed within the inner chamber of the post. The sleeve includes a slit that allows for the outflow of water, thereby limiting corrosion and degrading of the post and mounting structure. A series of nubbed projections create grooves within the surface of the sleeve, to secure the mounting arm into the sleeve in a strong manner. A secure fit limits the amount of liquid trapped within the sleeve reducing corrosion. The mounting arm has smaller dimensions, reducing the chances that the arm comes into contact with support rods embedded within the concrete during installation. By avoiding contact with the support rods, concrete spalling is dramatically reduced, adding to the lifetime of the rail system.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a fence system includes a rail having a first surface having one or more apertures. The rail also includes second and third surfaces opposing one another, the first, second, and third surfaces of the rail forming a channel. The second surface and the third surface of the rail have first and second lips, respectively, the first and second lips extending into the channel. Abstract: A mounting for a support post of a safety system has a cylindrical stem to be removably received in a cylindrical socket of an anchor device to be secured to a structure, and a connector enabling connection to the support post of the safety system. The connector is articulated with respect to the cylindrical stem to be adjustable over a range of attitude orientations with respect to the cylindrical stem and a securing device secures the connector at a specific attitude orientation with respect to the cylindrical stem. The mounting may be used in a safety guardrail system for working at height, with a vacuum anchor and a support post to which the guardrail is mounted. The support post is mounted to the vacuum anchor by the articulated mounting to enable the orientation angle of the support post to be adjusted with respect to the anchor device.
