Unitary Structure Patents (Class 261/8)
  • Patent number: 10744429
Abstract: A thread-based filter having a thread-based medium including multiple threads and a tube, the tube at least partially housing the thread-based medium with the threads oriented lengthwise along the length of the tube and the thread-based medium is configured to trap impurities present in a fluid flowing substantially lengthwise along the threads during a filtration mode, and the thread-based medium is configured to release impurities into a fluid flowing substantially lengthwise along the threads during a washing mode.

  • Patent number: 10258904
Abstract: An apparatus for removing sulfur from a hydrocarbon liquid may comprise a tank with a chamber, a barrier in the chamber forming at least a partial barrier to liquid flow with a gap defined therein, a gas distribution manifold for introducing the gas into the liquid, and a gas conversion structure defining an interior in fluid communication with the chamber. The gas conversion structure may include a conversion tube defining a tube interior in fluid communication with the chamber, an air injection device configured to inject air into the tube interior and draw gas from the chamber, a water injection device configured to inject water into the tube interior to create a mist of water in the tube interior to contact the gas from the chamber of the tank, and a fluid drain configured to drain fluid from the tube interior.

  • Publication number: 20150021794
Abstract: A wine decanter comprises a wine feeding funnel that axially passes through the whole body of the wine decanter, a mixing cavity, and a wine discharge funnel. A gas guide tube is disposed in the wine feeding funnel. One end of the gas guide tube is accommodated in the mixing cavity, and the other end is provided with an umbrella end capable of fully covering but not blocking the passage of the gas guide tube. The gas guide tube is further provided with a connection sheet perpendicular to the axial direction of the gas guide tube and having several through holes. The periphery of the connection sheet is matched with and connected to an inner wall of the wine feeding funnel, and divides the wine feeding funnel into upper and lower cavities. The wine decanter enables wine to contact air for multiple times, avoids blocking the gas inlet tube, and obstructs dust.

  • Patent number: 7740628
Abstract: In order to improve a surgical appliance comprising a housing having at least one sealed cavity, and a drive unit arranged in the housing, such that the cavity can be sealed in a simple way, and the formation of germs can be reduced or these can be removed in a simple way from the cavity, it is proposed that a fluid connection be provided for forming a flow path into and out of the cavity, and that at least one sealing element be provided for closing the fluid connection to liquid fluids and opening the fluid connection to gaseous fluids.

  • Patent number: 4312646
Abstract: A gas scrubbing tower is described which has a top region, a sump region and at least two washing stages between these regions. The tower comprises gas entry means between the the sump region and the lowermost of the washing stages; gas exit means in the top region; a first washing stage, in the direction of gas flow through the tower, constituted by a layer of packing elements resting on supporting means in a cross-sectional plane; a first circulating line for wash liquid from the sump region to the layer of packing elements; a second, packing-free washing stage above the first washing stage; a second circulating line for conducting wash liquid through the second washing stage; a sludge separator, and conduit means for introducing water from outside the tower into a washing stage or into the sludge separator of the tower.A process for operating the scrubbing tower is also described.

  • Patent number: 4141696
Abstract: Dispersions comprising water and particulate solids i.e. carbon and ash are produced in at least one gas cooling or scrubbing zone by quench cooling or scrubbing the raw gas stream from a partial oxidation gas generator with water. The dispersions are resolved by liquid extraction in a decanting zone to produce a water layer containing carbon, dissolved gas, and ash, and also a separate dispersion comprising carbon, extractant, and water. Solids-free water and liquid extractant are then separated from said dispersion in a distillation zone. This water is introduced on to a stripping plate of a flash column along with solids-free recycle condensate from the flash column. The solids-containing water from the decanting zone is flashed below said stripping plate and a portion is converted into steam. The steam passes up through holes or bubble caps in the stripping plate and is dispersed through the water contained on said plate.
