    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward unitary modular shake panels, and methods for making and using such shake panels. In one aspect of the invention, a unitary modular shake panel includes an interconnecting section composed of a siding material and several integral shake sections projecting from the interconnecting section. The panel preferably has a quadrilateral shape with first and second edges along a longitudinal dimension that are separated from each other by a width of the panel along a transverse dimension. Additionally, the shake sections are separated from one another by slots extending from the second edge to an intermediate width in the panel. In a preferred embodiment, the panel is composed of a unitary piece of fiber-cement siding with a simulated wood grain running along the transverse dimension.

    Abstract: The subject of the patent application is a self-closing ventilation insert for ventilating textiles, shoes or articles made up of at least two air-permeable layers, an absorber layer arranged between the air permeable layers, coverings above the air-permeable layers and at least one protective element. The absorber arranged in the chambers of the ventilation insert swells when it absorbs moisture and thereby closes the chambers of the ventilation insert to make them impermeable to water and air. When the ventilation insert is dried, the chambers open and become permeable to air again. Furthermore, a method of producing the ventilation insert by injection moulding is described. The ventilation insert according to the invention may be used in a wide variety of areas, both in the clothing sector and in technical areas.

During the cure cycle, the autoclave machine (12) applies a predetermined amount of and pressure heat to the pressure pad (22) for a predetermined amount of time so as to cause the pressure pad (22) to flow around the protruding pins (26). This feature allows the pressure pad (22) to transfer a substantial portion of the applied pressure to the uncured laminate sheet (14) so as to improve consolidation of the sheet (14).

The imprint of the patient's foot is then used to position any needed accommodations.     Abstract: A method for manufacturing of water-proof cover for zipper tab includes taking a zipper where holes are provided on the tapes thereof at the position adjacent to one end of the tooth-chains; covering an upper mold provided with a sprue thereon and a lower mold on the holes on the tapes, and inserting a core mold in-between the groove and tooth-chains; injecting plastic from the sprue and detaching the upper and lower molds after the plastic is solidified to a desired shape, such that a decorative cover is formed at one end of the tooth-chains; and mounting a zipper tab from the upside of the tooth-chains, and stapling a stopper to each end of the combined tooth-chains. Accordingly, when the zipper is drawn upwardly, the zipper tab can be positioned inside the decorative cover, such that the connecting portion of the tooth-chains and the zipper tab can be covered by the decorative cover and therefore prevent from being wetted by rain.

    Abstract: An improved, efficient, and regenerable exhaust emission filter and filter system are provided which incorporate the use of an inorganic, non-woven fiber filter element. The filter is able to capture exhaust pollutants and particulates through the interwoven nature of the filter element and due to area enhancements applied to the filter element including microscopic enhancements. The filter has an improved life and is able to combust a greater percentage of trapped particulates due to the high temperatures the filter element can withstand. The filter element if formed from a non-woven fiber block which is machined or shaped into a filter foundation. The filter element can have a multitude of coatings and catalysts applied and can be wrapped in insulation and a casing. The improved exhaust emission filter is particularly useful for diesel engine exhausts.

The portion of the film (2) located at the cell ends (82) to be closed is thermally melted or burnt off thereby to form through holes (20). The end surface (861) is dipped in a slurry containing an end surface closing material, so that the slurry is caused to enter the cell ends (82) by way of the through holes (20). After that, the slurry is hardened while at the same time removing the resin film (2).

    Abstract: Methods are provided for forming a plurality of air diffusers from a single fiberglass and foil blank. At an automated pre-forming station upstream of a molding station, a blank has pressed therein two air diffuser patterns at a middle portion, two patterns at a first catercorner portion and two patterns at a second catercorner portion and the pressing of each set of two patterns occurs substantially simultaneously to prevent the foil from delaminating from the fiberglass. Thereafter, the blank is fed to a molding station that applies a significantly larger pressing force and heats the blank to form six air diffusers. Perforations are cut in the blank to facilitate separation of the air diffusers in a trimming station downstream of the molding station. Preferred pressing of air diffuser patterns occurs with pneumatic actuated male and female air diffuser pattern molds that are sequentially operated in accordance with a desired pattern.

    Abstract: A method and system (10) having a flowable pressure pad (22) for consolidating an uncured laminate sheet (14) during a cure cycle is provided. The system (10) includes an autoclave machine (12) for utilizing a pinmat (20) for to perforate and consolidate the sheet (14). This pinmat (20) has a mat portion (28) and a plurality of pins (26) extending from the mat portion (28). These pins (26) are intended to penetrate the uncured laminate sheet (14) during a perforation cycle that occurs prior to the cure cycle. During the cure cycle, the autoclave machine (12) applies a predetermined amount of and pressure heat to the pressure pad (22) for a predetermined amount of time so as to cause the pressure pad (22) to flow around the protruding pins (26). This feature allows the pressure pad (22) to transfer a substantial portion of the applied pressure to the uncured laminate sheet (14) so as to improve consolidation of the sheet (14).
