In embodiments, the present invention includes a fitting having a main body component with at least a first segment having an axially inner portion, an axially intermediate portion and an axially outer portion, with a retaining compartment defined therein. The retaining compartment can retain one or more sealing rings, including an indicator sealing ring having an indicator flange extending from its outer surface. An external indicator band can be securely retained around the external surface of the pipe fitting, and can be adapted to change color upon receiving sufficient force, thereby indicating that the fitting has been properly pressed.

Abstract: Linking parts are formed on one end of a first resin composite member and on one end of a second resin composite member in order to bond the ends together. For example, the linking parts may be wavy parts containing concave portions and convex portions. In this case, the wavy parts initially are heated and softened. Then, in a molding unit, respective pairs of confronting convex portions are overlapped with each other, and respective pairs of confronting concave portions are utilized to form a non-overlapping space. The overlapped convex portions are pressed and crushed, such that a base thermoplastic resin and fibers contained therein flow toward the non-overlapping space. Thereafter, the thermoplastic resin is cooled and hardened, whereby the first resin composite member and the second resin composite member are bonded integrally to obtain a resin composite structure.

  • Patent number: 9227356
Abstract: In a pressure vessel which is formed by blow molding a plastic liner with a mouth member fitted on a blow pin, a rotational torque is prevented from being applied between the mouth member and the blow pin when removing the blow pin. A parison is placed around the mouth member which is fitted on the blow pin, and is blow molded with a die assembly placed around the parison so that a vessel shaped plastic liner is formed. An engagement structure which is provided between the mouth member of the pressure vessel and the blow pin includes a ball moveably received in a radial through hole of the peripheral wall of the blow pin, and a release groove formed on an inner circumferential surface of the mouth member and having a prescribed depth. When the blow pin is introduced into the mouth member until the ball and the release groove oppose each other, the ball moves radially outward and becomes partly received by the release groove to engage the mouth member with the blow pin.

Abstract: The present application relates to a method of injection molding a resin such as a RTM mold. The method enables to manufacture a composite part comprising a resin body and a sheet or strip, forming a surface of the composite part. The composite part can be an annular compressor casing of an axial turbomachine, with a composite annular wall. The method includes the steps of: (a) placing and holding the sheet against a mold surface by fastening means such as welds or microwelds; (b) injection and solidification of the resin in the mold so as to form the body by binding it to the sheet; (c) release of the sheet by the fastening means when a release force is exerted on the composite and release part of the composite part.
