Abstract: A hydraulic bearing includes a supporting bearing, a bearing base, and an annular spring element of elastomeric material interconnecting the supporting base and the bearing base. A working chamber and a compensating chamber are bounded by the supporting bearing and bearing base and filled with damping fluid. A partition having an opening separates the working chamber from the compensating chamber. The opening connects the working chamber and the compensating chamber in a fluid-conducting manner. An annular stop is disposed in the working chamber and is movable relative to the supporting bearing in an axial direction. An inner peripheral edge of the annular stop is received in a receiving portion of the supporting bearing. Abstract: A fluid-filled vibration damping device wherein two mutually spaced-apart mounting members are connected by an elastic body, which cooperate with an elastic wall member to partially define a pressure-receiving chamber, and a flexible diaphragm partially defines an equilibrium chamber on one side and a working air chamber on the other side. These chambers are filled with the non-compressible fluid and held in fluid communication with each other through the orifice passage. A negative pressure-regulating device applies different negative pressure to the working air chamber depending upon frequencies of vibration to be damped, so that a spring constant of the elastic wall member is changed corresponding to the vibration to be damped, thereby controlling a damping characteristics of the damping device.

  • Patent number: 6485005
Abstract: A hydraulic engine mount includes opposed mounting members secured to an elastomeric body and a base, respectively, with an orifice plate assembly interposed the body and the base to define a pumping chamber and a reservoir for hydraulic fluid to flow therebetween through an orifice track formed by the orifice plate assembly. An elastomeric decoupler disk is secured in a recess formed between two orifice plates of the orifice plate assembly and defines a gas spring or cushion space which may be filled or vented by a removable plug in one of the orifice plates. Improved dynamic rate and damping at low amplitude inputs to the mount are provided by the gas cushion biased decoupler as compared with a decoupler type mount without the gas cushion bias. The mount provides an advantage over conventional decoupled hydraulic mounts in that very strict dimensional tolerances are relaxed and performance characteristics, as well as ease of manufacturing, are improved.
