Adjustment Means Including Attached Wedge Means Patents (Class 269/122)
  • Patent number: 7243896
Abstract: A foldable support frame for supporting a tool is provided. The support table comprises a first pair of legs disposed one in parallel with the other. The table further comprises a second pair of legs disposed one in parallel with the other. The second pair of legs are pivotally connected to the first pair of legs proximate a midpoint so that the first and second pairs of legs are movable to a crossing position. Each of the first and second pairs of legs have a top end and a base end. The support table also has a first connection bar connectedly disposed between first pair of legs, and a second connection bar connectedly disposed between first pair of legs. Tool supporters are fixedly connected between the respective top ends of the first and second pairs of legs. The support table also has a support rod having a first end and a second end. The first end of the support rod is connected to the first connection bar and the second end of the support rod is connected at the to the first tool supporter.

  • Patent number: 6367790
Abstract: A bar clamp has a straight and stiff metal bar having an straight inner face, a straight and stiff fixed metal arm extending from an end of the bar and having a straight inner face substantially perpendicular to the bar inner face, and a metal corner unitarily formed with the bar and arm and joining the bar to the arm. A longitudinally facing abutment pad is carried on an outer end of the fixed arm. The corner has a circularly arcuate inner face joining the bar and arm inner faces, offset outward from planes lying on the bar and arm inner faces, and having a center of curvature substantially at a point where the planes meet. A movable arm can slide longitudinally along the bar and carries a tightening mechanism in turn carrying an abutment confronting the fixed-arm abutment and longitudinally displaceable relative to the movable arm toward and away from the fixed-arm abutment.

  • Patent number: 5770006
Abstract: A machine for use in butt fusing in axial alignment plastic pipe having a selected maximum diameter is adaptable by the use of specially designed inserts secured in the lower portions of fixed and moveable clamps, the inserts serving to elevationally raise segments of pipes to be joined when the machine is used to manufacture a segmented pipe turn. In addition to the employment of inserts providing increased height of support for pipe segments, the pivotal upper portions for the fixed and moveable clamps are replaced by specially designed upper clamp portions that have contacting surfaces configured to accept inclined and elevationally upwardly supported pipe segments. By the use of such specially designed inserts and replacement upper clamp portions a butt fusion machine can be employed to manufacture segmented pipe turns of the maximum pipe diameter for which the machine is designed.

  • Patent number: 4894296
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved hydrophobic cathode for use in a zinc-air cell, and to a method for making said cathode. The cathode comprises an admixture of discrete particles of gamma manganese dioxide and carbon and a polymeric halogenated hydrocarbon. The method includes the step of intensively milling the manganese dioxide to reduce the particle size thereof and homogeneously admixing the manganese dioxide with the carbon particles.
