Abstract: A straight edge guide system is presented that makes clamping of a workpiece faster and easier. The straight edge guide system includes a guide member that extends a length from a first end to a second end. A clamp member is connected to the first end of the guide member and includes a compressible bias member therein. An adjustable stop member is connected to the guide member that moves between a locked position and a free position. When the adjustable stop member is in the free position, the adjustable stop member slides along the length of the guide member. When the straight edge guide system is placed on top of a workpiece, the workpiece is clamped under spring bias force between the clamp member and the stop member.

Abstract: An adjustment actuator assembly for a vehicle steering system includes a leadscrew having a threaded outer surface and at least one pocket recessed radially inwardly from an outer diameter of the threaded outer surface. The adjustment actuator assembly also includes a nut having a threaded inner surface engaged with the threaded outer surface of the leadscrew, the nut axially moveable along the leadscrew during rotation of the leadscrew. The adjustment actuator assembly further includes a travel stop limiter operatively coupled to the nut, the travel stop limiter having a leg extending through an opening of the nut and spring biased into contact with the threaded outer surface of the leadscrew and moveable into the pocket of the leadscrew to limit axial translation of the nut.

Abstract: A clamp assembly is provided for securing a panel or fairing to an I-beam, and comprises a pair of side blocks and a clamping block having a central body and a flat surface at at least one end of the central body. The side blocks and the clamping block are secured together using a single bolt. The flat surface at the end of the central body is positioned at an angle to the central body, so as to provide an angled surface for mounting of a fairing.
Abstract: A pipe alignment clamp for use in pipe fitting/fabrication applications. The pipe alignment clamp has a generally circular frame with at least one hinge therealong to enable the clamp to be opened and subsequently secured around a pair of pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined. Threaded support members are positioned along the frame in spaced apart fashion, and extend outwardly from each side of the frame. The support members are used to support alignment screws that can be independently repositioned radially towards and away from the pipe segments and/or fittings to be joined, thereby enabling the alignment clamp to accommodate a wide variety of different shapes and sizes of pipe segments and fittings, and requiring a minimum length of pipe segment to operate. The adjustment screws may be manipulated by hand, or by a separate alignment screw tool, which may be included as part of a pipe alignment kit.
Abstract: An anti-pivot and lock mechanism for a clamp including a horizontal post connected and moveable relative to a vertical post. The mechanism engages the vertical post and horizontal post above or below a pivot axis of the horizontal post to prevent or minimize pivoting movement of the horizontal post between changes of consecutive clamped workpieces.
Abstract: A point-welding clamp structure for side by side tightly clamping and locating different plate-shaped metal pieces in their true relative positions so as to facilitate the point-welding operation. The point-welding clamp structure includes a body section and a base section for clamping the different metal pieces. A second adjustment section is disposed on the body section and a third adjustment section is disposed on the base section. By means of operating the second and third adjustment sections, the metal pieces with different thickness can be securely clamped and located by the point-welding clamp structure.
Abstract: A clamping assembly with at least two clamping members with inner surfaces facing towards each other and outer surfaces facing away from each other, a bolt passes through holes formed in the clamping members, the bolt including a bolt head and a threaded section, the inner surfaces including means for gripping work surface, such that when the bolt is tightened, work pieces are clamped together.
Abstract: Disclosed is a bench mountable joining machine. The joining machine comprises machine apparatus for supporting and positioning a workpiece while making a slot-like plunge cut into a joint surface of the workpiece. The machine also includes a base member for removably mounting the machine to a bench.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in stringing rackets comprising a support structure including a pedestal having a base portion with a weighted foot pedal pivotally attached thereto, a racket supporting portion attached to the upper end of the support portion, a string clamp mechanism operatively connected to the foot pedal, the clamp mechanism including clamp members for engaging and clamping a length of string extending therebetween, a clamp support member mounted adjacent to the racket supporting portion, a string clamp assembly including a pair of members having portions for engaging a length of string extending therebetween, a member pivotally connecting the pair of members, a spring between the clamp members biasing said string engaging portions apart, and a clamp operator member movable between an open position whereby a length of string can be moved between the string engaging portions and a closed position in which the string engaging portions move into clamping positions.
Abstract: An improved miter box allows crown molding to be cut in the same orientation in which it will be installed to assure a perfect mitered joint. The miter box holds a longitudinal workpiece so that it can be cut by a cutting apparatus at a first angle measured in a plane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece and at a second angle measured in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece. The miter box has a base, a backboard mounted perpendicularly on one edge of the base, a cutting apparatus guide for guiding the cutting apparatus to cut the workpiece at the first angle, a first wedge apparatus mounted on the backboard having a lower surface at the second angle to the backboard, and a second wedge apparatus mounted on the base having an upper surface at the second angle to the backboard.
