  • Patent number: 5573248
Abstract: A dice game apparatus includes a gaming table having a generally horizonal plane surface forming a generally arcuate peripheral edge about which a plurality of players are located. A game board is displayed on an upper surface of the table with a board having designated thereon a first series of individual crap bet placing areas positioned in a repetitive pattern along a portion of the table extending along the arcuate peripheral edge. The dice game is played with a set of two casino dice having six faces and an additional third die enclosed in a shake container. The shake container is configured and adapted so that each of the dice randomly registers one of the faces after a shaking of the container. The shake dice game method includes a portion whereby the players make wagers in general accordance with the rules of craps on the faces registered by the casino dice after a shaking of the container.

  • Patent number: 5106103
Abstract: A board game providing a random letter selection tray holding a plurality of cubes, each cube displaying at least one letter, the plurality of cubes is shaken in the tray displacing the cubes randomly, whereupon after shaking ceases the letters fall into two columns divided into a plurality of rows. The game players must independently recognize known persons who correspond to the randomly selected initials read across the two columns by individual rows and mark down the persons on each players's game card. The game is timed and multiple players compete with the score based on the number of famous personage which each player can match to the randomly selected initial groupings. Alternate embodiments provide for balls to replace cubes, and cubes having a plurality of different letters, one letter on each face of each cube.

  • Patent number: 4807883
Abstract: A game apparatus can be releasably or permanently secured to a gaming table in such a way as to pivotally support a hollow, transparent container or other gambling unit for swinging movement across the table. The container is journaled at the end of a pivotal support arm so that each player in turn can rotate or tumble the dice in the container and permit the container to coast to a stop with the dice resting on the lower interior of the container. Odd-sided dice are preferably employed in combination with a mirrored surface beneath the lower interior end of the container so that the numbers on the dice, when the container comes to rest, are reflected by the mirrored surface for ease of reading by the players. In a modified form, a braking mechanism is employed to retard tumbling or rotation of the container or other gambling unit so as to reduce the time required for the container or unit to come to a complete stop.
