Internal Agitator Patents (Class 273/145CA)
  • Patent number: 5100141
Abstract: A device for scrambling dice and the like includes a pair of housing bodies which collectively define a generally vertical chute for directing dice from an upper entryway to a lower discharge opening. A door is attached adjacent to a lower edge of the discharge opening and is pivotable between a first position wherein the door closes the discharge opening, and a second position wherein the door provides a ramp for directing dice falling downwardly through the chute away from the housing through the discharge opening. A plurality of pins and baffles extending into the chute deflect dice falling downwardly through the chute. In one embodiment, the pins may be removed and repositioned as desired. The housing bodies are further configured to provide a closed container for the dice to facilitate shipping and storage of the dice within the dice scrambler.

  • Patent number: 5022654
Abstract: A transparent container having a liquid therein, and dice in the liquid, of light weight and thus floating. The container also having therein an object of greater density than the liquid, thus constituting a sinking body. Upon reversing the container top-to-bottom, the dice float to the top and the body sinks to the bottom, wherein the dice and body move in opposite directions, have mutual engagement, or collide, effecting rotation or turning of the dice. When the dice reach the top of the container, the dice are read through the transparent top. In another embodiment, rods are mounted in the container, and extend toward the middle, which the dice engage, and the dice are thereby turned or tumbled. One form includes bars or pieces, instead of dice, with inscriptions thereon. In another form, balls are used and "fall" (rise) into holes in a roulette-type member.

  • Patent number: 4907804
Abstract: A pocket sized toy game including an enclosure defining a chamber wherein a die is retained for movement, a manually operated mechanism for randomly moving the dice within the chamber, and a game board. The enclosure includes a cover and a pivotally interconnected base. An open sided transparent housing located in a cavity defined by the cover defines a chamber wherein the dice are movably retained. The manually operated mechanism is arranged within the cover and includes a pivotal lever which impacts against the dice to facilitate moving the dice within the chamber to facilitate playing the game. The cover is movable between open and closed positions. In its open position, the cover is generally disposed upright relative to the base. In its closed position, the cover lies generally paralleled to the base and defines a cavity therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4893816
Abstract: Dice game methods involving three dice and a doubling cube. The methods involve the providing of an objective total count to be reached to win the game, assigning a value to each face of the dice, permitting a first player to continue rolling as long as a certain minimum value is achieved for each roll, establishing an initial entry level beyond which the player can retain an accumulated count, permitting a player to stop rolling to fix his cumulative count and recommence accumulating a count during his next roll, returning the count to the last stopped cumulative count if the player does not achieve the minimum value on a given roll, and allowing the player whose turn is about to begin to offer the doubling cube to the opponent whereby the stakes are doubled if the opponent accepts the doubling cube or the game is won by the offering player if the opponent refuses to accept the doubling cube.

  • Patent number: 4757999
Abstract: A peumatically operated playing device for randomly casting at least one discrete article includes a substantially rigid cubic enclosure having a first opening on one wall thereof and a second opening on another wall thereof; a first elastic membrane covering the first opening; a second elastic membrane covering the second opening; a retraction element on the first elastic membrane for retracting the first elastic membrane; and the substantially rigid enclosure and the first and second elastic membranes defining a hermetically sealed chamber within the substantially rigid enclosure, such that retraction of the first elastic membrane results in a consequent retraction of the second elastic membrane, and subsequent release of the first elastic membrane causes the second elastic membrane to impart a force to any discrete articles which may be positioned in engagement with the second elastic membrane.

  • Patent number: 4632397
Abstract: A transparent container partially filled with transparent viscous liquid; contains a multifaceted multicolored indicia enhanced game piece, which is greater in specific gravity than the transparent viscous liquid and an air bubble greater in size than the maximum horizontal clearance distance between the game piece and container side wall. When the container is turned relatively end for end the bubble rises, striking the game piece, whereby it rotates as it falls slowly to the bottom of the container, where the top or scoring facet of the game piece is viewed through the transparent container and transparent liquid. The game piece falling time period, being relatively repetitive, may be used for game play timing. The colors and indicia on the game piece facets give the player game playing instructions.

  • Patent number: 4185828
Abstract: An air pressurized game machine has a self-contained unitary multi-way valve assembly having at least one positive air pressure supply inlet with a multiplicity of positive air pressure outlets each having separate actuators for controlling air to tubes to perform different functions. A lot mixing or agitating chamber has horizontal and vertical outlets for blowing air in these respective directions and the lot is captured and then may be manually positioned in holes in a grid. The bottom of the holes are closed by air actuated flaps. A box below the flaps captures the lot and additional tubes can agitate the lot in the box or return it to the agitating chamber. An additional function is a roulette wheel rotated under action of the forced air.
