Abstract: Blackjack tournaments are described which provide for rules and practices that facilitate counting of cards by players, such as dealing from a single deck of 52 cards down to the last card in the deck. The proprietor of the tournament limits its exposure to losses by forming a pool of prize money from entrance fees paid by players, sponsorship fees, a limited contribution to the pool of prize money, or combinations thereof. Players play with chips provided by the proprietor of the tournament. The tournament may be captured with one or more video cameras and broadcast over an entertainment network. The broadcast may feature card counting reports, commentary by experts, and a display of the sequence of cards to be dealt to the players and the dealer.

Abstract: A card game has several groups of cards with the cards of each group identified by a common color and the cards of each of the groups are successively numbered. A player is given four cards face down and four cards in his hand. In a play of the cards, a player displays one card from his hand and selects one of his face down cards to play it against. The player declares whether the displayed card is higher or lower than the selected card and wins points if his declaration is correct.

Abstract: An improved video draw poker game is disclosed wherein for each round of game play five hands of cards are sequentially dealt and played. Bets are placed on each hand, and the player selects some cards in each hand to be held, or to be rejected and replaced. Cards that are either held or rejected by a player in one hand of cards are moved forward to be played in a subsequent one of the five hands of cards to attempt to develop a better hand. The moved cards are replaced in the hand from which they are originally dealt.

Abstract: A senate card game having a plurality of senate cards. The plurality of senate cards may be at least one of Senator cards, a President card, and a Vice President card. The Senator cards are configured to flip over to show a value of each card determined by value factors including at least one of office, class, year, electoral count and combinations thereof, wherein a card of greater value wins a card of lesser value. Play of the game may continue for a predetermined amount of time wherein cards are flipped and won dependent upon the value of each card flipped. If the player beats the dealer, the player is paid 3:2 for his or her base bet and at a significantly higher payout for his or her bonus bet without interfering with the rhythm of the game for other players who want to play Blackjack conventionally. If the dealer is also dealt a natural Blackjack, a player with a natural Blackjack is paid at a significantly higher payout for his or her bonus bet while the base bet is a push.

The dealer deals a plurality of community cards, turning at least one of the community cards face up, and the players are given the option to place a second play bet or check. The dealer turns the remaining community cards face up, and the players are then given the option to place a third play bet or check. The dealer receives a plurality of dealer Hole cards. After the dealer Hole cards are revealed, the hands are determined by combining two dealer Hole cards with the community cards to form a dealer's hand. The ante, blind, play and optional bets are then resolved, the optional side bet resolved according to a predetermined criteria.

Abstract: A house-banked casino card game includes a dealer having a dealer hand and at least one player having a player hand. The dealer exposes a first community hand and a second community hand, and the player selects one of the first and second community hands as part of the player hand prior to additional cards being exposed. The game is resolved based on a comparison of the player hand and the dealer hand. In the casino environment, the game may include an initial wager for the player to participate in the game, and a pick wager after the first and second community hands are exposed, which pick wager serves to select the first or second community hand. Abstract: Disclosed is a card game wherein payouts are based on a maximum number of matching suits in a player's hand. Players have the option to choose the size of their hand at the outset of the game. In one live version, once players select their hand size and place their wagers, dealers deal each player two cards. Additional cards are dealt as common cards. Alternatively, players may be dealt all cards directly. Players are paid based on one of multiple pay tables depending on the maximum number of cards which have identical suits in their hand. The greater the number of identical suits in the hand, the greater the payout. Jackpots, including progressive jackpots, based on poker rankings may also be implemented. In a second live version, players may place six wagers on hands having from two to five cards. In this version, players receive four cards which may be used in combination with a single common card. Electronic gaming devices may also facilitate video versions of the game.

If the player does not receive a five-card hand that qualifies for the pay table the player will lose the five-card bet for the house odds but will then be afforded to make another wager against the dealers hand to save their money. The player can make the Bluff bet where the player plays against the dealer hand. If the player has a higher five-card hand than the dealer the player wins the Bluff bet.

The player's first two cards will fall under predetermined, posted category of “Good Hand” or “Bad Hand.” Each category will be made up of numbers that most players would view as good or bad totals in the game of blackjack. The system can be incorporated into a non-electronic table game version of blackjack, and electronic table game version of blackjack with multiple player video screens and/or bet selection devices or a single play blackjack slot machine/video game device. The gaming system can also be applied to the home video, home computer and arcade markets.
