  • Patent number: 11685590
Abstract: A dosing dispenser for a flowable composition includes a housing, a traveler, a plunger, and a driver. The housing defines a chamber, and the plunger is movable within the chamber. The traveler is at least partially within the chamber and configured to selectively position the plunger. The driver is at least partially within the chamber and configured to movably position the traveler relative to the driver. The driver is engaged with the traveler within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 9856981
Abstract: Improved liquid lubricated piston ring gas seals with reduced friction and wear compared to prior art rings are disclosed for use in internal combustion engines, gas pumps, and gas compressors. These improved rings allow independent adjustment of the parameters controlling friction and wear, and eliminate the tradeoff between friction and wear typical of prior art rings.

  • Publication number: 20090273142
Abstract: A combined oil ring includes an oil ring having upper and lower rails formed integrally at an outer circumferential side of the oil ring to slide on a cylinder wall; a coil expander installed at an inner circumferential side of the oil ring to force the oil ring radially outwards; and a side rail installed at an upper side of the oil ring and having no torsion along an axial direction of the oil ring.

  • Patent number: 7429047
Abstract: A piston ring assembly includes an upper ring, a lower ring and an expander disposed between the upper and lower rings. When assembled, the piston ring assembly is positioned with a groove of a piston. During down stroke of the piston, the upper and lower rings radially compress. This radial compression induces axial expansion of the expander, thereby urging the upper and lower rings against upper and lower surfaces of the groove. The piston ring assembly provides a seal between not only an outer periphery and a wall of a cylinder, but also between the piston ring assembly and the annular groove of the piston to prevent escape of oil and gases.

  • Patent number: 6454271
Abstract: A combined oil ring is comprised of an oil ring and an expander. The cross section of the oil ring is a generally I-shape, and the outer circumferential surfaces of outer rail portions form sliding surfaces to make contact with the cylinder wall surface. The cross section of an expander installation groove formed on the inner circumferential surface of the oil ring is formed in a rectangular shape, and an expander formed of axially corrugated ring-shaped plate material is mounted in the expander installation groove. The expander is formed by forming a rectangular cross sectional plate material in a corrugated shape in the direction of plate thickness and further forming in a ring shape. The expander installation groove of the oil ring is not limited to a rectangular shaped cross section.

  • Patent number: 6267384
Abstract: An improved thin 3-piece oil ring 1 of an axial width not greater than 2 mm, is provided that has a corrugated spacer expander 2 of a circumferentially successive, substantially U-shaped configuration, and circular, upper and lower side rails 3, 4 holding the spacer expander 2 therebetween. The spacer expander 2 has circumferentially spaced outer crowns 5 and circumferentially spaced inner crowns 6; each of the outer crowns 5 being connected with next adjacent ones of the inner crowns 6 on opposite sides thereof by a pair of connecting members 11. The spacer expander 2 has both of the most-end portions thereof extended radially outwardly from the most-end one of the inner crowns 6 thereof forming abutting members 15, 16 for abutting each other at the point of force P.

  • Patent number: 6113107
Abstract: This invention relates to piston compression ring assemblies, each of which consists of a main ring element and an auxiliary ring element. The assemblies can by themselves adjust the radial gaps between the assemblies and the liner, and the gaps between the assemblies and the liner, and the gaps between the assemblies and the wall of the ring groove in the piston. The two ring elements engage with each other on their flat sides, and there is a notch for accommodating lubrication oil provided in the engaging portion. The radial cuts in each ring element stagger each other by an angle of 180.degree.. The two ring elements are good sealing and lubricating, respectively, therefore they can reduce the leakage of gas and the compensation of oil, and have a long period of use. They can thus improve the efficiency and the power of internal combustion engine, and reduce the emission and the noise of the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 5964467
Abstract: The oil control ring 1 is provided to attach in an annular groove 10 formed in a piston 2 for internal combustion engine. The spacer expander 4 comprises a base 8, a plurality of supports 6 and a plurality of arms 7. The supports 6 and arms 7 are integrally formed with the base 8 to extend from an outer periphery 8a or inner periphery 8b of the base 8. The supports 6 resiliently urge a side rail 5 mounted on the space expander 4 toward an upper surface 14 of the annular groove 10 so that during upward stroke of the piston 2, the supports 6 can be resiliently deformed to form between the side rail 5 and upper surface 14 of the groove 10 a radial passage through which oil scraped by the side rail can be drained. Each arm 7 is provided with a lug 8 to resiliently urge the side rail 5 in radial and outward direction.
