  • Patent number: 9441664
Abstract: A seal washer of the present invention includes a metal washer body including a center hole, an outer resilient material projecting from an outer periphery of the washer body to a location lower than a lower surface of the washer body, and an inner resilient material provided on an inner periphery of the washer body which faces the center hole. If a fastening force in an axial direction is applied, since the lower surface of the washer body metal-touches on a mating member, loosening does not occur unlike a conventional technique. In addition, since no further compression load is applied to the resilient material, a phenomenon that the resilient material is deformed in a crushed manner does not occur.

  • Patent number: 9316314
Abstract: A sealing arrangement for placement between two components which have a planar contact surface, in particular two housing parts of a pump. The sealing arrangement has an elongate, flexible sealing element whose end region has a termination element thereon, which can carry out a sealing function. The sealing element and the termination element have an overlap region in the end region of the sealing element and thus form a first continuous sealing edge. The sealing edge is maintained also for a displacement of the end region of the sealing element in the direction of the start region within the overlap region. The termination element moreover has a first curvature. The curvature and the sealing element are configured so that the sealing element contacts the termination element along the curvature in a pressure-free state.

The bed typically has upstanding walls with upper surfaces that define a top of the bed. The seal has a fixed base that is designed to be mounted to upper surfaces of the bed. A separate seal section has a first mounting portion adapted for connecting to the fixed base. A resilient member extends from the first mounting portion and terminates in a second mounting portion. The second mounting portion is adapted to be affixed to the tonneau cover. When the seal section is in its relaxed, uninstalled state the seal has a substantially S-shaped configuration. When the seal is installed on the tonneau cover and connected to the fixed base on one of the upper surfaces, the seal is U-shaped extending underneath the tonneau cover.

Abstract: A spacer and gasket assembly is shown for receipt between a static structure having an outer and inner surface and fastener holes therethrough and a removable structure having a base with fastener holes and an upper surface and a lower surface. The static structure and removable structure are engaged through a multiplicity of fasteners having a shaft diameter. The fasteners are adapted to apply a compression on the gasket between the static structure and the removable structure. The static structure and the removable structure have opposed, typically flat, facing walls. The spacer and gasket assembly comprising a substantially non-compressible spacer adapted for receipt between the static structure and the removable structure having a spacer thickness. A gasket has a deformable, flowable, elastomeric body and a skeleton having a skeleton thickness, the skeleton substantially integral with the body. The gasket has an uncompressed gasket thickness.

Abstract: A static sealing element (1) includes an elastic tapered washer (10) the deformation of which enables a force to be transmitted, a casing (18) to establish the seal, and two supporting washers (27 and 28) which transmit the forces originating from the elastic washer (10) to the curved edges (20, 21) of the casing (18) so as to exert on them a pressure which maintains the seal. The casing (18) made thus be manufactured from a ductile material, but one which is less deformable than the customary elastomers.

Abstract: An automotive glazing having a mounting strip for mounting a glazing component attached adjacent at least one edge thereof is disclosed. The mounting strip comprises at least one ridge positioned in contact with the glazing such that the majority of the mounting strip is spaced apart from the glazing, forming a cavity. The mounting strip is bonded to a major face of the glazing by an adhesive material in contact with at least a portion of the mounting strip, and positioned such that it does not overlap the edge of the glazing. The ridge, the mounting strip end and the major face of the glazing to which the strip is bonded form a cavity having an open end facing the edge of the glazing, the cavity being dimensioned to receive a portion of said glazing component.
