Abstract: A Folding shopping trolley [1] having an upper section [11] and a base section [2] adapted to move between a collapsed condition into a deployed condition is disclosed. The upper section [11] connects to the base section [2] via elongate support members [20] through an intermediate coupling [10] such that the upper section [11] and base section [2] can move in a synchronized condition between deployed and collapsed conditions. The base section [2] comprises ground engaging wheels [47 and 48] fixed to the lower end of the elongate support member [20]. The lower end of the elongate support members [20] are pivotly connected to the lower end [9] of the actuator [7] via the inner connecting members [6] forming a geometric arrangement with the outer connecting members [5] wherein vertical movement of the actuator [7] moves the trolley from the collapsed condition to the deployed condition. The outer connecting members [5] include a locking mechanism [30] to lock the trolley [1] in the deployed position.
