Cart Patents (Class 280/651)
  • Patent number: 6663139
Abstract: A collapsible cart folds onto itself to provide a convenient, space saving method for transporting bulk goods. The cart has a floor panel and side panels. Each side panel is pivotally attached to two other side panels and the floor panel is pivotally attached to one of the side panels. To collapse the cart, the floor panel is pivoted up and toward the side panel to which it is attached. Opposing side panels are then pulled together causing the sides to offset and the cart to collapse.

Abstract: An adaptable blood processing platform comprises a blood processing device and a ground engaging frame including a shelf to which the blood processing device is secured. The frame supports the shelf for movement between a lowered position and a raised position. The shelf can be supported, e.g., for swinging cantilevered movement about an axis between the lowered and raised positions. The shelf can be supported, e.g., by a scissors linkage assembly coupled to the shelf for lowering and lifting the shelf between a lowered and raised positions. In the lowered position, the center of gravity of the blood processing device is located a first distance above ground, which is conducive for stable storage and/or transport of the platform. In the raised position, the center of gravity of the blood processing device is located a second distance above ground greater than the first distance, which is conductive for set-up and operation of the platform.

Abstract: A heavy duty, knock-down industrial cart for holding and transporting relatively heavy objects is formed of a generally rectangular base frame having rigid, interconnected elongated side and end strips upon which wood boards are rested to form a support floor. The boards span between opposing side strips and the ends of the boards are clamped upon the side strips by metal angle strips each having a horizontal leg overlying the board ends and a vertical leg fastened to their respective side strips. Vertical posts are secured to the base frame strips and support wheels are secured to the bottom of the frame. The frame strips, posts and boards are fastened together by releasable mechanical fasteners so that the parts forming the cart may be manually assembled and disassembled and one or more damaged boards can be removed and replaced with new boards when discarded.

Abstract: The present folding cart is comprised of a rectangular bag and flexible support panel positioned within a rectangular frame, and wheels connected to the frame by legs. The frame is comprised of pairs of scissoring members on the ends and sides for being quickly collapsible in two dimensions. The ends of the scissoring members in each pair are offset toward each other at the corners of the frame to avoid binding during folding. An arched section is provided in each leg at one end of the frame that curve around the wheel at the other end of the frame when folded. A flexible bag is attached to the top corners of the frame, but not to the bottom corners to enable the frame to be collapsed. The flexible support panel is attached to the bottom corners of the frame to prevent the bag from sagging under a heavy load.

  • Publication number: 20020158446
Abstract: A cart has a collapsible frame which is foldable into a closed position for forming a narrow lateral profile and unfoldable into an unfolded open position. The frame has two support members. Each support member has a pair of legs extending downwardly from its opposite ends and a side arm extending between two of the legs on each opposite lateral side of the frame for securing the frame in the unfolded open position with the support members spaced apart. The side arms have hinges for folding the arms relative to a support member. A foldable tray interconnects the legs of the frame for forming a platform adjacent the bottom of the cart. Upon folding of the cart, the tray folds and the cart collapses into the closed position with the support members drawn together into close proximity to each another.
