The removed portions can be formed as apertures in the page and/or as removed portions of one or more edges of the page, among others to allow the stacked pages to form a coordinated, and optionally customizable, decorative appearance for the calendar.

Abstract: An electronic book using electromagnetic energy to detect page numbers includes a book and a base, the book includes a plurality of book pages, each of the book pages is respectively provided with an electromagnetic energy changing member, and the base is provided with at least one antenna coil and at least one control circuit. The electromagnetic energy changing member of each of the book pages is correspondingly disposed adjacent to a position of the antenna coil, and a magnetic flux generated by the antenna coil is transmitted to the electromagnetic energy changing members. The electromagnetic energy changing members generate magnetic variable fluxes to be received by the antenna coil for generating a page number prompt output command by conversion to control generation of a prompt function of the book page correspondingly disposed adjacent to the position of the antenna coil.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of labeling a plurality of products includes coating a pressure sensitive adhesive to a roll of face stock, the roll of face stock configured to be converted to a plurality of individual labels aligned in a single lane; singulating an individual label from the roll of face stock; and applying the individual label to a product of the plurality of products, wherein the coating, singulating and applying are conducted sequentially in a single continuous operation with a single continuous web of material.

No release coating is used. The inserts are thin enough so as to allow several inserts to be placed within a book without significantly increasing the book thickness or distorting the shape and size of the book when closed. Additionally, the inserts contain one or more tabs to allow a user to index and quickly find a particular insert and the corresponding page. An adhesive is present on the rear side of the insert to fix the insert to the page being annotated.

Abstract: Methods for transferring an image to a substrate are provided. An image can be applied onto an image-receptive coating of a heat transfer sheet. The heat transfer sheet can further include a heat transfer layer overlying a base sheet such that the image-receptive coating overlies the heat transfer layer. The heat transfer sheet can be torn substantially along a perforation line to remove the heat transfer sheet from a coloring book, and then positioned adjacent to a substrate. The image, the image-receptive coating, and at least a portion of the heat transfer layer can then be transferred to the substrate, with the base sheet not transferring to the substrate. Coloring books are also provided that include a plurality of heat transfer sheets bound together along a common edge.

Abstract: A sheet stock having a flexible hinge area is described. The sheet stock includes a substrate having an opening and gap stiffener, and a flexible film covering the opening and defining a flexible hinge area in the region of the opening and gap stiffener covered by the film. Methods for producing sheet stock having a flexible hinge area are also described. The sheet stock may be used in printing, binding, and in other applications.

In one embodiment, the reusable notecard is comprised of a trifold panel having a left panel, a center panel and a right panel and a reclosable closing mechanism, connected to the trifold panel, to releasably secure the left panel to the right panel when folded over one another. The booklet with label includes a release liner, an ultra removable adhesive layer, a paper stock layer, a booklet, an adhesive layer, and a clear plastic cover layer. The clear plastic cover layer has the adhesive layer applied to a bottom surface thereof and the bottom surface is positioned over the booklet. The booklet is positioned over the paper stock. The ultra removable adhesive layer is attached to the lower surface of the paper stock. The release liner is applied to the ultra removable adhesive layer. A process for forming an ultra removable booklet with label for application to media is also described.

Abstract: A page construction for a creativity activity, or as part of a book, wherein a horizontal page is folded in half along the horizontal axis, exposing panel that designates a specific space for coloring. Once that space is colored, and the panel is flipped to the back, the drawing peeks through a die-cut on the opposite panel. In this way, drawing can appear to be part of a pre-printed illustration on that opposite panel, adding an element of surprise and magic.

Abstract: A binding system (1) comprising a stack of sheet (2), each with a binding side (3) with attachment means for the connection of the sheets. The binding side of a sheet possesses an alternating sequence of tabs and notches. One sheet can be attached to an adjacent sheet by interlocking its tab (4) into the notches between the corresponding tabs of the adjacent sheet. The tabs fit exactly into these notches to provide a seamless connection between these sheets. Thus this binding system provides for a quick, user-friendly binding system without requiring separate and cumbersome attachment means.

Indicating portions are provided along each of the second and third edges to associate each page with a respective primary heading and a respective secondary heading.

Abstract: Disclosed is a composite hinge sheet including thermoplastic resin layers 5 made of a thermoplastic resin formed on both surfaces of a woven-fabric like sheet 3 having multiple openings therein. The woven-fabric like sheet 3 includes woven fabric or non-woven fabric made of at least one type selected from polyester, polyamide and polypropylene. The thermoplastic resin layers 5 include, as a raw material, resin having Shore A surface hardness flexibility of 85 or greater and Shore D surface hardness flexibility of less than 70. A part of the thermoplastic resin enters the openings in the woven-fabric like sheet 5, thus blocking all the openings, so that the thermoplastic resin layers 5 are integrated with the woven-fabric like sheet 3. The composite hinge sheet has excellent tearing and tensile strength, is resistant to light and heat in the binding part thereof, and has excellent resistance to repeated bending.
