Abstract: A ridged paged book has an interleaved book binding that incorporates page binding couplers that extend from one page to the other along a binding side to enable each page to open and close. A cover binding coupler extends from the front and/or back cover to an adjacent page and may have a cover portion that is longer than a page portion. This longer cover portion may extend along the recess of the cover to provide stability of the cover binding. Pins extend through the covers and pages along a binding side and into the binding couplers to create a durable binding for the rigid paged book. A ridged paged book may have an interleaved book binding configured proximal to a top and/or bottom edge. A ridged paged book may be made out of metal including the covers and pages and the couplers and pins.

Abstract: A receipt holder device is disclosed herein including an organizer portfolio including a front-cover, at least one card holder, a storage compartment, a rear-cover, a first-clip, a first-elastic-fastener, a second-clip, and a second-elastic-fastener. The front-cover and the rear-cover of the organizer portfolio are hingedly connected and configured to open and close to access contents within the organizer portfolio. The organizer portfolio includes two or more columns for securing and organizing receipts within. Business cards and other items are also organized and stored within providing a waterproof personal day planner and tax receipt organizer.

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for mobile device tethering for a remote parking assist system of a vehicle. A vehicle includes a camera and a body control module. The body control module sends an instruction to a mobile device and captures, with the camera, an image of the mobile device. The body control module also analyzes the image to determine an initial location of the mobile device relative to the vehicle, and based on the initial location, performs dead reckoning on the mobile device to track the mobile device. When the mobile device is within a threshold distance, the body control module enables autonomous parking.

The book includes at least one page having a page frame component and a movable page component that is movable with respect to the page frame component. A movable sound producing component is attached with one or both of the page frame component and the movable page component, such that the movable sound producing component is positioned between the page frame component and the movable page component. The movable sound producing component is movable with respect to the page frame component, such that movement of the movable sound producing component causes the movable sound producing component to movably engage with one or both of the page frame component and the movable page component to create a mechanically produced sound.

Abstract: There is disclosed a book with a front cover formed by a front base layer and a front decorative layer. The front base layer has a first front face portion, a second front face portion, and a front free edge. The front decorative layer is disposed on the second front face portion. The book has a rear cover formed by a rear base layer and a rear free edge. A binding layer extends across the rear base layer and along the first face portion of the front base layer cover. The binding layer is adhered with the rear base layer and the first face portion so that the front decorative layer extends from the front free edge and across the second front face portion. An edge of the binding layer abuts an edge of the front decorative layer. This arrangement eliminates a free edge between along the front cover of the book. The book includes one or more pages disposed between the front and rear covers. The pages each include respective page base layers and each base layer including a page binding edge.

Abstract: A server, system, and method are disclosed for ensuring uniform level of color of distributed print jobs, wherein each of the plurality of printers is configured to conduct color validation and/or color calibration based on a first criterion. The server having a processor configured to: receive, from a client computer, a request relating to a print job; determine whether the received print job is a split job, which can be split amongst the plurality of the printers; filter at least two printers each having an in-line spectrophotometer from the plurality of printers; and instruct to the each filtered at least two printers so that color validation and/or color calibration is performed based on a second criterion by using the in-line spectrophotometer, wherein the second criterion causes color validation and/or color calibration at each of the each filtered at least two printers to be performed earlier than the first criterion.

A book light may take the form of a closed book when not in use. When a light source is desired a book light may expand to open to any angle, all the way open to 360 degrees and expose a folded flexible diffuser shade 200. The first and second back covers may be opened in any position to accommodate a desired spread of the flexible diffuser shade. Magnets in the first and second back covers help to retain the back covers in a desired position and to mate or chain other book lights together.

The travel bar is biased to remain in the locked position when it is in the locked position. The travel bar is free of forces tending to move the travel bar to the locked position when the travel bar is in the open position.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to a label and a method of application of the label on a container that both protects confidential information and functions to allow for the placement of auxiliary labels even if an overall length of a label exceeds the perimeter of the container to which it is applied. The auxiliary labels are disposed in a fanned fashion, attached to a primary label portion by, for example, a micro perforation line, and where the auxiliary labels are separated from each other by micro perforation lines and where the adhesive back of each pair of auxiliary labels are attached to each other in order to form a plurality of protrusions.

Abstract: A security feature for use with secure booklets, especially those having a spine, for example passports, identification booklets and other types of ID3-sized documents. In one example, the security feature is printed across the spine of the booklet onto two adjacent pages. Most conventional, commercially available printers are unable to print across the spine, and therefore would be unable to reproduce the security feature. In addition, in the case of a booklet, for example a passport, that uses a stitching thread to secure the pages together, ink from the printed image bleeds into the thread. The presence or absence of ink in the thread can then act as an indicator as to whether or not the booklet is genuine or a counterfeit. Another security feature includes registration of a pre-print portion and a variable print portion that is applied during booklet personalization to form a combined image.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for on-site site risk assessment and to encourage collaboration between professional disciplines related to land development and construction projects. A graphical risk analysis system is provided based on answers to interdisciplinary questions related to risks. Use of the system promotes a complete checklist of interdisciplinary and informational consultation which, when completed for a project, assesses the risk related to construction site development and allows for reduction in risk as the project progresses.

Abstract: A binder management system having a cabinet with shelves for removable storage of searchable binders. Each binder has a body with front and rear covers and a spine. Inside the body is a binder mechanism for removably retaining sheet media. Each binder has externally extending upper and tower ohmic contact members which ohmically engage conductive members mounted on the shelf surfaces near the front. Each binder has a binder identification circuit coupled to an LED mounted on the binder spine in a location visible when the binder rests on a shelf. When a binder identification signal from a host computer is presented to the shelf conductive members it is transferred by the binder contact members to the binder identification circuit. If the signal matches, the LED is activated to aid the user in finding the binder. An LED and an optional audible indicator are mounted on the shelves to further aid the user in finding the sought binder.

A sound module having at least one pre-recorded digital audio file saved therein and a motor module are contained and concealed within the greeting card body. One or more switches may be used to activate the sound and motor modules, causing the pre-recorded audio file to play and causing movement of the movable or mobile object. This movement may be up-and-down or “bouncing” motion, spinning or rotational motion, side-to-side motion or any other reciprocating motion.

The leading edge of each ring connector is designed to separate the slit to allow the ring connector to be transitioned to the appropriate second aperture.
