Patent number: 6312020Abstract: A connector for connecting a hose to a fluid handling device having a first bore defining a fluid path and a second bore. The connector comprises a connector housing and a retaining mechanism. The connector housing has a first bore, a second bore and a third bore. The first bore has an entrance and a terminal end. The second bore has an entrance and a terminal end. The third bore has an entrance. The terminal end of the first bore intersects the terminal end of the second bore. The entrance of the first bore communicates with the hose. The entrance of the second bore communicates with the fluid path within the first bore of the fluid handling system. The third bore of the connector housing is parallel to the second bore and the entrance of the third bore of the connector housing is located longitudinally between the entrance of the first bore and the entrance of the second bore. The retaining mechanism retains the connector housing to the fluid handling device.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2000Date of Patent: November 6, 2001Assignee: TI Group Automotive Systems CorpInventors: Mark G. Patent number: 6289532Abstract: A tub waste overflow assembly that is attachable to a tub wall by means of a threaded retaining body insertable through an overflow drain aperture in a tub wall to engage a cooperatively threaded pipe fitting on the opposite side of the tub wall. A chamfered washer is provided to cooperate with the retaining body and an annular sealing gasket to produce a fluid-tight seal on the interior surface of the tub wall. A forwardly projecting fulcrum member on the pipe fitting preferably contacts the exterior tub wall outwardly of the aperture to facilitate connection of a drain pipe to tub walls over a range of included angles, and no seal is required around the overflow drain aperture on the exterior tub wall. A unitarily molded, knock-out test plug is provided across the bore of the retaining body and a handle desirably attached to the test plug projects into the tub to facilitate installation.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2000Date of Patent: September 18, 2001Assignee: LSP Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Kurt M. Patent number: 6193284Abstract: A connector for connecting a heat exchanger tube to a heating vessel bulkhead, includes a connector housing, a sealing and locking nut, and a first and second o-ring. The connector housing includes a first conduit having an exterior surface, on which are formed a threaded portion, a peripheral bulkhead seating surface, and a first o-ring receiving cavity, such that the first o-ring receiving cavity is positioned between the threaded portion and the peripheral bulkhead seating surface. A bulkhead sealing ring has a second o-ring receiving cavity. A second conduit has a cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the heat exchanger tube. The sealing nut engages the threaded exterior of the first conduit, and the locking nut engages and locks the sealing nut against the exterior surface of the bulkhead. The first o-ring is positioned within the first o-ring cavity, and the second o-ring is positioned within the second o-ring cavity.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 1999Date of Patent: February 27, 2001Assignee: Henny Penny CorporationInventor: James D. Patent number: 6096121Abstract: A seal joint is for an arrangement for separating a gas and liquid mixture having a vessel with an inlet for entry of the gas and liquid mixture and an outlet for exit of a separated gas, and a centrifugal separation cyclone in the vessel for centrifugally separating the gas from the mixture. The joint requires the vessel to have an internal vessel flange defining a flange opening. An inlet tube extends into the flange opening. A first retaining ring having a first outer ring which engages the flange, also has a first inner ring portion extending around the inlet tube in the flange opening. A second retaining ring has a second outer ring engaged with the flange and a second inner ring extending around the inlet tube in the flange opening. An O-ring is engaged around the inlet tube and between the first and second inner rings and fastening bolts are use for fastening the first and second outer rings to the flange, around the flange opening for deforming the O-ring against the inlet tube.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 1999Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Assignee: Hudson Products CorporationInventor: George S.
