Abstract: The present invention relates generally to electrical insulation barriers. More particularly, the invention encompasses an electrical insulation barrier having knock-out features for an electronic apparatus. The electrical insulation barrier is preferably made from a brittle material, such as, for example, a thermoset insulating material, a glass reinforced polyester laminate material (such as, for example, GPO-1, GPO-2, GPO-3), and the like. The electrical insulation barrier is preferably used to insulate and/or isolate electrical conductors. With this invention a single master or universal type part can be made and used in many configurations and locations dependent on the design of the electronic apparatus. The invention allows for the creation of one or more opening in the electrical insulation barrier by knocking-out or removing one or more pre-defined shapes to allow clearance for intersecting electrical parts.

Abstract: A head lifting device for lifting the head off of an internal combustion engine. The head lifting device is typically used for an engine having multiple separate heads. It includes a crane assembly that has a support member. At one end of the support member is a bracket for attaching to a first head. At the second end of the support member is a gearbox. The second end of the support member is positionable over a second head, the second head typically being adjacent the first head. Hanging down from the gearbox is a shaft threaded, and at the end of the shaft is an assembly for engaging the second head. Driving the gearbox will allow the shaft to move upward through the gearbox and, with a second head attached thereto, allow the second head to lift off the engine block.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided to minimize the escape of fuel out of a fuel tank when a tank wall is penetrated by a bullet. In one embodiment, a pressure differential may be maintained between a pressure within a fuel tank cavity and another pressure outside the fuel tank cavity in order to minimize the loss of fuel upon penetration of the fuel tank. In another embodiment, a compressed rubber layer of fuel-reactive rubber may be provided which is adapted to be attached to a fuel tank wall and to swell upon contact with fuel in order to substantially seal a penetrated hole in the fuel tank wall.

  • Publication number: 20110036205
Abstract: A board removal tool (10), for the removal of boards (or panels) (F) from building structures (FS) such as floors, walls or ceilings, has an elongate handle (20), connected a tool body (30) having aligned, spaced first and second jaw members (40, 50) at one end; the first and second jaw members (40, 50) having opposed jaw faces (41, 51) to receive the boards (F) therebetween. The handle (20) has a hand-grip (23) at the other end, which is rearwardly inclined. The workman engages several boards (F) between the first and second jaw members (40, 50), with the opposed jaw faces (41, 51) extending transverse to the boards (F); and pulls the hand-grip (23) to move the hand-grip (23) in a curved path towards himself. As the tool (10) “rotates” about a distal end (53) of the second jaw member (50), the first jaw member (40) progressively removes/releases at least some of the boards (F) from the building structure(FS) to which the boards (F) were fixed.

Abstract: A tool and method of use directed to the extraction of a wheel bearing's outer ring. When a tractor or trailer's wheel bearing fails and is in need of replacement, the present invention provides for a quick and easy means of extracting the remaining wheel bearing component residing in the wheel rim, the outer ring. The tractor wheel bearing extraction tool of the present invention is comprised of two pieces. The first piece is inserted into the wheel cylinder within the wheel rim and locks to the wheel bearing outer ring. The tool's first piece thus provides for a punching back for the second piece of the tractor wheel bearing extraction tool. The second piece is a hammering rod and is inserted into the opposite end of the wheel cylinder within the wheel rim. The hammering rod locks into the first piece and allows the user to hammer out the outer ring wheel bearing component with one strike.
