Abstract: A modular head pedicle screw assembly has a bone screw, a tulip, a locking split ring and a saddle. The locking split ring is internal of the tulip positioned in a recess of an inner surface of the tulip. The saddle has a proximal end for engaging a rod and a distal end for receiving the bone screw. The saddle has an exterior surface positioned between the ends. The outer surface is sized to move axially inside the tulip. The saddle expands the locking split ring in an initial pre-loaded position and upon insertion of the tulip over the bone screw, the saddle moves proximally disengaging the locking split ring simultaneously causing the locking split ring to relax to an unexpanded condition while providing tactile and audible feedback to the surgeon and locking the bone screw into the tulip.
Abstract: A method for producing a tip unit for a liquid applicator including: a first process of shaping the contour of a tip body in the form of a truncated conical surface; a second process of forming a ball housing having an open end at its distal end in the tip body; a third process of placing a ball into the ball housing; a fourth process of scraping the peripheral side of the distal end portion of the tip body to form a peripherally scraped portion after the first process; and a fifth process of deforming the peripherally scraped distal end portion of the tip body toward the ball.
Abstract: An aqueous gel ballpoint pen 1 having an ink-storage tube storing an aqueous gel ink containing a pigment as a coloring agent, and a ballpoint pen tip having a ball rotatably held at its leading end and also having an ink flow pore which is formed so that the aqueous gel ink flows from the ink-storage tube to the ball, wherein an ink flow pore diameter r (unit: mm) in the ballpoint pen tip and a storage modulus G? (unit: Pa) at 20° C. of the aqueous gel ink satisfy conditions represented by the following formulas (1) and (2): 0.24?r?0.64??(1), and 1.3?G??16r?3.2??(2).
Abstract: A tool and method of manufacturing a tool for making ballpoint pen tips, called rough tips, in their seat zone and preferably in their cone zone. The tool is mounted in fast-rotating precision spindles and the position of the tool may be adjusted to adjust the dimensions of the tip to be formed by the tool. The equipment is configured in a single-piece unit. A seat zone element for making the seat zone and preferably a cone element for making the cone of the tip may be formed on a base component.
Abstract: An eyebrow pencil making machine includes a trough disposed on a table for receiving pen containers, a board having a number of depressions to support the pen containers which may be fed along the board step by step, and two tool devices each having a tool member moveable to machine ends of the pen containers. A reservoir may supply a eyebrow material into bores of the pen containers via an outlet nozzle. A presser may engage with and retain the pen containers on the board. Two vibrator receptacles may receive and supply rear caps and front covers onto ends of the pen containers. A gilding may be applied onto the pen containers with a die member and a foil.
