Abstract: A core adapter is provided for adapting a larger diameter core to be mounted on a winding machine designed for a smaller diameter core. The core adapter includes a cylindrical body having a wall, a central bore, an outer surface, and a discontinuity in the form of a slit extending axially along and completely through the wall. The core adapter can be inserted in an end of a core and progressively secured by expanding the body, facilitated by a widening of the slit, until the body wedges against the inside surface of the core. Adhesive can be applied to the adapter or the core or both to secure the core adapter in place. The body can be expanded with screws progressively threaded through the core and into the body of the core adapter, or vice versa. Alternatively, the body can be expanded by urging a wedge into the slit to widen the slit and consequently expand the body of the core adapter radially.

Abstract: A wall structure of a large-sized refrigerated storage and a construction method thereof are provided. The wall structure comprises an interior wall board (1), an exterior wall board (2) and a skeleton positioned between the interior wall board (1) and the exterior wall board (2). A polyurethane foam plastic (7) is filled between the interior wall board (1) and he exterior wall board (2). The method for construction a wall of a large-sized refrigerated storage comprises the following steps: A. building the wall skeleton; B. mounting a color steel plate on the outer surface of the skeleton to form an exterior wall board (2) of the wall; C. painting the polyurethane spraying material on the exterior wall board (2) layer by layer for multiple times, and reserving a pouring apace at a distance of 40 to 80 mm from the installation position of a interior wall board (1); and D.

Abstract: An aircraft door includes a seal that integrates a flexible silicone seal portion and a rigid blade seal portion into a single continuous seal around the mold line gap between the door and frame. The arrangement allows for the use of space saving piano hinges to mount the door. The seal includes a rigid blade seal around three edges of the door and a flexible hinge cover seal adjacent to the hinge edge of the door. The flexible hinge cover seal is bonded to terminal blocks which in turn can be mounted to the door edge and to the door frame such that the flexible hinge cover seal covers the mold line gap adjacent to the hinge.

  • Patent number: 8108981
Abstract: A method of making an electrostatic chuck comprising positioning a plate into a channel in a body to form a plenum and inserting a dielectric component into an opening in the plate, where the dielectric component defines a portion of a passage from the plenum. Thereafter, depositing a dielectric layer covering at least a portion of the body and at least a portion of the plate to form a support surface. The dielectric layer is polished to a specified thickness. In one embodiment, the polishing process forms an opening through the dielectric layer to enable the dielectric component to define a passage between the support surface and the plenum. In another embodiment, at least a portion of the dielectric layer is porous proximate the dielectric component such that the porous dielectric layer and the dielectric component form a passage between the support surface and the plenum.

Abstract: An imaging lens, an optical apparatus equipped therewith, and a method for manufacturing the imaging lens are disclosed. An imaging lens consists of, in order from an object, a front group having negative power, and a rear group including a sub-lens group having negative power. At least a portion of the sub-lens group is movable in a direction including a component substantially perpendicular to an optical axis. The sub-lens group includes, in order from the object, a first negative component having negative power, a second negative component having negative power and a positive component having positive power. The shape of an air lens formed by the first negative component and the second negative component is a double convex shape. An antireflection coating is applied on at least one optical surface of the front group, and the antireflection coating including at least one layer formed by use of a wet process.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for assembly of tubular joints which overcome the drawbacks and limitations of conventional joints. In certain embodiments, the tubular joints may comprise threaded joints used in oil exploration. Joints may be assembled using a combination of a) position control, b) specific production tolerances for thread parameters, and c) coatings applied on threaded areas of the joint. In further embodiments, the tubular joints may have no torque shoulder and/or metal to metal seals. In additional embodiments, the joints may be further assembled and disassembled several times without application of dope or grease and exhibit enhanced sealability. Beneficially, embodiments of the present disclosure may provide high tolerance, precisely assembled joints that provide improved performance (e.g.

Abstract: In a roll-to-roll step, an adhesive solution is applied to a release film 1 including a polyethylene terephthalate film and this film 1 is passed through a drying oven 500 regulated to 60 to 150° C. to thereby form an adhesive layer 2. Subsequently, an insulating film 3 including a polyimide film is laminated on the adhesive layer 2 at room temperature (about 25° C.) to thereby produce a layered product 6 including the release film 1, adhesive layer 2 and insulating film 3. Next, the release film 1 is stripped from the layered product 6 and a conductor film 4 including a copper foil is laminated to the adhesive layer 2 to thereby produce a conductor-clad laminate 8.
