Patent number: 7237312Abstract: To erect metal utility poles, a plurality of tubular sections of utility poles are fabricated, each having tapered portions and the diameter of one being slightly larger than the diameter of another. The sections are brought to a site for erection and pulled together with short repeated strokes of a hydraulic cylinder attached to one section with its piston rod connected to another section of utility pole. In one embodiment it is not necessary to manually adjust the mechanism pulling the sections of utility poles together and in another embodiment, a light flexible cord is attached to one section and a hydraulic cylinder to another section. The hydraulic cylinder pulls the cord and when the piston rod is extended for the next retraction, the cord length is adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2005Date of Patent: July 3, 2007Inventor: Jerry Gordon Enns

Patent number: 7228611Abstract: A method of transferring an uncured composite laminate skin from a lay-up surface of a male mandrel tool to a female cure tool includes defining multiple vacuum zones on the lay-up surface, each zone corresponding to one of a multiple of portions into which the skin is to be separated. For example, to separate the skin into two portions, a low profile seal of a first membrane to the lay-up surface is formed at a first vacuum zone and a second low profile seal for a second membrane is formed at a second vacuum zone. The method further includes laying up a composite laminate skin over all the vacuum zones; separating the composite laminate skin into portions, for example, a first portion over the first vacuum zone and a second portion over the second vacuum zone; and releasing the portions individually into cure tools having an outside mold line surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2003Date of Patent: June 12, 2007Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Donald A. Patent number: 7225520Abstract: A cutting edge cart is disclosed that provides an improved means for replacing the replaceable cutting edges on bladed equipment such as road graders and snow plow. The cart allows a single user to retrieve, transport, and position a replacement cutting edge relative to a mold board of the bladed equipment. Generally, the cart contains a frame, two or more transport assemblies attached to the frame, such as wheels, a movable carrier assembly that contains a cutting edge support assembly, and an adjuster. The adjuster is operable to move the carrier assembly between first and second positions relative to the frame allowing the vertical position of a supported cutting edge to be adjusted. The frame and transport assemblies are disposed such that the cart may be rotated or pivoted from a first generally vertical position to a second generally horizontal position.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2005Date of Patent: June 5, 2007Assignee: Blade Lift, Inc.Inventors: Donald E. Patent number: 7210909Abstract: A first rotor piece includes a first ring provided with a succession of holes and notches. An assembly is formed by a second rotor piece fixed to a third rotor piece. The second piece ends downstream in a second ring including holes. The third piece ends upstream in a third ring including holes. The second and third rings are arranged against each other with their holes in alignment, and are fixed together by first fasteners. The first ring is arranged upstream of and against the assembly so that the notches fit around the first fasteners so that some of the holes of the first ring are aligned with holes of the assembly, with second fasteners fixing the first ring to the assembly.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2004Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Snecma MoteursInventors: Didier Escure, Gérard Miraucourt, Francis Soniak, Erick Boston, Jacques Audet, Marie-France Bourgeois, Daniel Dao

Patent number: 7207168Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for inserting surgical staple drivers into a cartridge, including a base, a cartridge-receiving plate having a channel, upper and lower degating plates having a passage through them, a knife with a sharp edge adjacent the passage and a plunger apparatus that drives the drivers downwardly through the guide passage and into pockets in the cartridge. A cartridge locator plate seats the cartridge against stops in the channel. The cartridge-receiving plate is adjustable relative to the base. The upper and lower degating plates and the knife are not adjustable relative to the base, which avoids the need for re-alignment of the knife and degating plates upon re-mounting on the base. The cartridge-receiving plate is aligned relative to the base. A top riser is adjustably mounted to the base, and a cylinder arm, which holds the plunging apparatus, is non-adjustably mounted to the top riser.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2004Date of Patent: April 24, 2007Assignee: The Schnipke Family Limited Liability CompanyInventors: Brian T.
