Abstract: A method and apparatus for an insulating cover for fasteners. In one advantageous embodiment, an apparatus comprises a washer and a cover. The washer is capable of receiving a fastener. The cover is capable of being secured to the insulating washer, wherein an insulating volume is created with the cover secured to the washer.

Abstract: A placemat assembly having an integrated napkin ring and a method of making and using the placemat assembly are provided. The method may include forming at least two openings in a placemat such that a midpoint of the distance between the two openings is located in a position offset from the center of the placemat. The method may further include attaching a napkin ring to the placemat and fastening the napkin ring so as to secure a napkin to the placemat assembly. In various embodiments, the opening may be a variety of shapes and sizes and may have a periphery that is sewn. The placemat, napkin ring, and napkin may be a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and materials.

Abstract: Clamp for a sample bottle assembly. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are apparatuses including a first drill collar section. The first drill collar includes: a first outer surface; a pocket accessible through an aperture in the first outer surface; a bottle assembly disposed within the pocket; and an intermediate clamp coupled to the first outer surface and spanning the pocket, the intermediate clamp at least partially retains the bottle assembly in the pocket, and the intermediate clamp has an axial length less than an axial length of the bottle assembly.

Abstract: The decorative figurine is formed from at least two golf balls and at least one golf tee. A blind bore is formed in a first golf ball, and a diametrically extending countersunk bore is formed through a second golf ball. A golf tee is then inserted into the golf balls with the shaft extending through the countersunk bore and into the blind bore, the head of the tee being seated in the countersunk portion of the throughbore. Adhesive secures the tee in the bores, forming the body of the figurine. The body is preferably mounted on a base, and the body is decorated with any desired ornamentation and/or props.

Abstract: A method and structures are provided for implementing a latching gasket including an electrically conductive fabric, and a latching clip. The latching clip includes a support member carrying the electrically conductive fabric for radio frequency (RF) connection engagement with a first wall surface. The latching clip includes a first channel-defining member and a second channel-defining member extending downwardly from the support member. The first channel-defining member carries the electrically conductive fabric for radio frequency (RF) connection engagement with a second wall surface received in a channel defined by the first and second channel-defining members. The latching clip includes a latch arm extending outwardly and downwardly from an end of the support member near the second channel-defining member.

Abstract: A baseball training apparatus includes a bat mounting portion mountable on a barrel of a baseball bat, and a glove mounting portion attachable to a baseball glove. The glove mounting portion is connected to the bat mounting portion. The bat mounting portion may include an elongated, flexible, mounting strap including a hook-and-loop fastener. The glove mounting portion may include at least one elongated, flexible connector strap extending outwardly from opposite edges of the mounting strap and including a hook-and-loop fastener. The baseball training apparatus mounts the baseball glove on the baseball bat.

Abstract: A shelving system includes a plurality of pultruded vertical posts and horizontal traverses. The horizontal traverses are coupled to the vertical posts by means of a bifurcated collar that are placed on each vertical post. Each horizontal traverse includes an end piece which is configured to couple to both halves of the bifurcated collar. Each half of the bifurcated collar comprises a wedge shaped design such that when a load is placed on the traverse, forces are applied to the bifurcated collar that squeezes each half of the collar together more tightly around the vertical post. The traverses may be coupled to one or both sides of the vertical post to allow the shelving system to be extended as far as the user desires in any lateral direction. The shelving system may also be extended in a perpendicular or other angular direction by means of a wedge shaped corner connector.

Abstract: An axially tensioned pipe joint for joining two pipes is disclosed. The pipe joint comprises a first PVC pipe having an outer surface. The pipe joint also comprises a second PVC pipe having a bell end which fits onto the spigot end. The bell end has a plurality of angularly-spaced-apart holes extending radially through the bell end. A set of radial fasteners can be inserted into the holes so as to engage the outer surface of the spigot end to prevent relative axial movement of the first pipe with respect to the second pipe. The radial fasteners have a surface containing a hard material which is harder than the material of the second pipe and roughen the holes during insertion thereby creating a friction fit resisting removal of the radial fasteners. The pipe joint can be used for horizontal direction drilling.

According to the invention, the securing device (11) includes a recess (4) that communicates with the hole (8) in said part and securing means (6) attached to the arbour (3) and at least partially matching the shape of the recess (4), so as to make the movement of the part (7) integral with that of the arbour (3). The second strip (120) may be spaced apart from the first strip (110) at least one section between the at least two attachment locations, and at least one of the first material and the second material may include a thermally expansive material.

Abstract: A tent and method of assembling a tent is provided. The tent includes a connecting strip for connecting first and second panels of a fabric shell of the tent. The connecting strip slides axially along sides of the adjacent panels during assembly to connect them together. In a preferred embodiment, the connecting strip and sides of the connected panels utilize cooperating keder strips and keder channels to cooperatingly connect the two panels. In a preferred embodiment, the connecting strip is flexible to permit using connecting strips that are longer than the legs of the tent.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a document binder assembly which may be printed commonly available office equipment, which results in a document binder assembly with exponentially wider distribution, use and much lower cost to the user when compared to the prior art. A slide and spacer in the document binder assembly operate to attach a cover to a bound document. Said cover may be received by a standard printer, wherein a user may print text, logos, graphics, or other desired material onto the cover. Optionally, an adhesive strip may be mounted to the spine of the document to reinforce the strength of the document binder assembly. The result is a document binder assembly useful for making short run full dress documents may be printed on commonly available office equipment, singly or in quantity, and offering highly desirable combination of low cost, professional appearance, and ease of decoration on all surfaces.
