Abstract: An electrical wire fishing system provides assistance in the pulling of cable through drop ceiling cavities. The system comprises a first component which is used at the entrance to the drop ceiling cavity and comprises a tube held in place by clamps. The first component utilizes a pair of spring-loaded cams which allow the cable to only travel in a single direction. Should the cable attempt to fall down, the cams will lock in place preventing such an action. A second component is used at the exit of the ceiling cavity and utilizes a pair of guideposts. These guideposts guide the cable out of the ceiling cavity and prevent it from becoming caught up on ceiling grid. With the system properly in place, cable can be pulled through a ceiling cavity by a single person.

  • Patent number: 8091618
Abstract: An exchange apparatus comprised of hollow perfluorinated thermoplastic tubes fusion bonded into a perfluorinated thermoplastic material to form unified terminal end blocks is disclosed. The hollow tubes are shaped by plaiting the tubes into cords and thermally annealing the cords to set the bends of the plait. The apparatus can have a housing bonded to the unified terminal end blocks. In use a first fluid enters the hollow tubes at openings in a first unified terminal end block, flows through the lumens of the tubes, and exits the tubes through a second unified terminal end block. A second fluid enters the housing, is separated from the first fluid by the wall of the tubes, and substantially fills the space between the inner wall of the housing and the outer diameters of the hollow tubes. Energy is transferred between the first and second fluids through the tube walls.

  • Patent number: 7996990
Abstract: There is provided a method of manufacturing a heat exchanger, including a first step of mounting an end part of flat tube to a header, assembling the flat tube and fins, and sealing a part where the header and the end part is attached, and a second step of increasing an internal pressure of the flat tube to expand other part of flat tubes aside from the end parts with respect to the end part of the tube in order to make the fins and the other part of the flat tube in contact each other. According to this method of manufacturing, in the second step, the other part of the flat tube that passes through the fins is expanded, so that it is possible to mechanically join the flat tube and the fins, and a plate fin-type heat exchanger with high strength and heat exchange efficiency can be easily provided.
