  • Patent number: 9804060
Abstract: A crash barrier for implementing a collision with a vehicle has a front to be moved toward the vehicle when the collision is implemented. The front side has a predetermined width and a predetermined height. The front side further has a selected surface region that takes up at most a 50% part of a width of the front side. A volume region of the crash barrier behind the surface region has a greater level of rigidity than a surrounding region of the crash barrier. Therefore, in the event of an impact against the vehicle, a greater level of rigidity acts in the selected surface region than in a surrounding region.

The method includes spreading each individual compensating element on a base and deforming the compensating element substantially vertical to the base by exerting a pressure such that the entire compensating element is subjected to a full-surface load. Then a setpoint deformation of the compensating element is determined, which is necessary to achieve a specified setpoint pressure. The method further includes determining at least one parameter of the substrate individually, placing the compensating element around the substrate, and mounting the insert thus obtained in an outer housing having inside dimensions that correspond to outside dimensions of the insert with the determined setpoint deformation.

Abstract: An exhaust system includes an exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe includes an outer pipe and an inner pipe. A first through-hole and a second through-hole are provided in a peripheral surface of the outer pipe and a peripheral surface of the inner pipe, respectively, to receive an exhaust gas detector. Third through-holes are provided in the peripheral surface of the outer pipe, at a different position than that of the first through-hole. Since the third through-holes are provided in the outer pipe, a liquid can be drained promptly from a space between the outer pipe and inner pipe. Exhaust gas can be prevented from being discharged to the atmosphere by sealing the third through-holes.
